Hello all!

Once again, I would like to congratulate all of the new leaders in which were authed as CL's within the City of Chicago. My respect is paid to every last one of you.

Also as Godfather Roman has said and stated, we are now rebuilding and reconstructing Chicago, and being that the garbage in this mafioso has finally been taken out, we can now focus on OUR cities and its residents. Doesnt that sound beneficial?

Furthermore, I have witnessed some side discussions that was being said during GF Roman's speech in regards to Jonnie_Reese's uprise as CL. He said that we should take that discussion elsewhere, and elsewhere is here.

Quick correction, I meant to say  "Jonnie's speech but GF Roman's feedback and reply". I didnt mean any confusion.

The big issue opened in Jonnie's speech was seeing people who have attained very little success of their own try to knock down a guy who has been a stellar worker since entering Chicago with me several weeks ago. They are either folks who survived the last war or are kin to those that died in the war. Now, LinuxPanda keeps waving a censorship flag around, and frankly who cares? When I looked last it's not like we followed the Bill of Rights, and people keep get killed for exercising their First Amendment 'rights' all the time. It's important to note that if you have something that you potentially view as controversial that you want to spout out, always remember your audience. No one wants to hear obnoxious people during a celebration about a new family. It's as simple as that.

I was talking to Godfather Dean last night, and the good news is this, we won't have to put up with people like LinuxPanda for too much longer. They eventually flame out. In the next week or two, as stability takes hold of our cities again, there will be far fewer folks with something negative to say as they will have work put into their person. We will again have a society that acts like *gasp* the Mafia with regards to respect.

It's the ebb and flow, these folks are no different than the people who have cropped up at the end of every other war in our history. There will always be a population who are jealous their ancestors were killed before achieving anything of note, we just have to bear with it until the trend passes.

Freedom of speech? The First Amendment? These our alive and well in our world. They will help protect you...from being arrested by the government for what you say. We are not the government. In fact any of us who have been sent to jail on a drug deal or trying to arrange an early release from prison for one of our friends can tell you...

...the government doesn't like us very much.

The First Amendment is a law that protects you from the government and we aren't very good at following laws around here. So anyone with the idiotic notion that you would be protected by this law can put that to bed right now. Like Godfather Roman said, the people who are leaning on this freedom of speech are the defeated or the next of kin of the defeated.

History is written by the victors. There is a reason for this. I'm sure Odin and Diablos had a noble story that they fed to their followers. One that perhaps has their next of kin feeling like somehow the fact that Chicago defended itself so successfully was wrong. No one wants to hear it.

As for Jonnie_Reese and his recent auth, it needs no explanation or defense. I've seen the people who have come out against him and they mean nothing. A bunch of young punks with no achievements to their name. I won't dignify their bitterness and obvious jealousy by giving them any kind of an argument.

You are right.  People definitely try to pull out the First Amendment when they feel like they are being persecuted for what they say.  There is obviously a complete lack of understanding about the First Amendment and the Bill of Rights. 

That being said - it is also true that it is alive and well in our community.  People are absolutely free to say whatever they want.  (Noting, however, that not even the First Amendment permits you to say WHATEVER you want.)  The Godfathers cannot stop you from saying whatever you want.  But often times there will be consequences. 

But note this as well: the Godfathers have actually been very good about permitting people to speak, and even to disagree with what they say.  It's a matter of respect.  If you disagree and do it in a respectful way, you'll be fine.  Discussion will ensue and perhaps you will come to some sort of accord.  But you're not going to be killed for having a different opinion than a Godfather.  And frankly, they don't even have to do that.  They could just institute a rule that anybody who disagrees with a Godfather will be killed.  End of.  But they're not going to do that.  They are, however, going to demand that you treat them with respect.  And I would say - they've earned that much from those of us who have accomplished very little in this world. 

Bitterness obviously leads to an inability to make valid points and arguments.  Have something to say?  Say it.  Do it the right way and you'd be surprised at the response.

So, we are to just fizzle out, eh, Roman? I do not believe so. You can only fool the people for so long. As for the whole theory of me being a descendant from a family of the recent wars, you couldn't be more wrong. You are simply throwing out the same guesses everyone would throw out when attacked by someone they can't control. For, it is easier to say I am a "noob" with a grudge than it is to combat my arguments. That seems to be the way nowadays. I miss the times when leaders would actually fight for their leadership, both in the streets and with their guns. Obviously, all you can do is pave your road for "The Greater Good". All this talk of rank meaning something. I scoff at you, sir. You should be worried more about the wellbeing of the community and the future leaders than things such as "rank is important". Considering the streets have been littered with people wailing about how important rank is and where it's place is in our society. Ninety percent of your auths are based on friendship rather than talent. Though, that seems to be the way of this world in recent years. Unlike the days when CP ruled, you don't need much talent to get anywhere. You just have to know Roman.

Magua comes out into the streets with his peace pipe in hands, as he begins to hand it off between the crowd of people witnessing this conversation, Magua puts on his chiefs hat full of war feathers and other trophies he has collected from his people...

We all know quite well of war, we are all aware of it's outcomes. Most people around this thing of ours realize that when we go to war, you may die and if you do, you're dead. People will be jealous, people will throw tantrums, people will go out into these public streets of ours and try and put people down for what they have achieved. If these people were to ever stop and realize "War is hell" things may be a little different, but since they died they have anger to them for what they "could" have accomplished in this thing of ours.

All in all, people will be mad every single time there is a war, no matter what, as Godfather Roman said;

So to be honest, the best way is to simply ignore all the accusations of how bad of a person you may be because of things that happened in war. This is the mafia people, people do things that you normally wouldn't do in life, like shoot you. If you seriously cannot stand to be dealt with by an opposition when the time comes due to your accomplishments, maybe you're not cut out for this life. I would personally be upset if I died due to the effort put in yes, but honestly if I was in a family and I was in the first wave of an attack, it tells me I am doing something right. So get back up on that horse and just do it again.

In regards to LinuxPanda, sir, I know you and your lineage. You should know that coming out into these streets and specifically saying that Godfather Roman is only authing friends is a bit outrageous. He is a Godfather of a city first off, he can do whatever he wants with the city regardless of what others think. It's HIS city, so who are you to judge him on his decisions on his city? Even if these accusations are true that he is specifically authing friends, if they are qualified to fill out the work he is needing, why would you not want a friend to do it? Someone you can trust with information instead of someone who might be a good candidate.

When rebuilding cities in this thing of ours it's pertinent that you have everything you need to move forward, as of right now it just seems like everyone is getting on their feet again, so once again I have to ask LinuxPanda, who are you to judge his decisions as a Godfather?

Simple answer, Magua. My family line has been around these shores for some time. I speak my own mind when it comes to matters and I will not let the fact that he is a godfather tarnish my opinions. If people decide to scoff at what I have to say, so be it. It was still said and in my mind that is all that matters. Yes, this is the mafia, but just because it is so, doesn't mean people are not allowed to have opinions. This is where you throw in the "It's their decision and you and an insignificant fuck" card. You see, the problem is that every time someone like myself pops up to attack the leaders through speech, they are always bent to the will of the community or they go insane and start ranting about shit that has nothing to do with their original approach. No matter how this affects my descendants if they ever decide to return to these shores, I have spoken my mind and I believe my message is quite clear.  

You state that this is the mafia and it doesn't mean people aren't allowed to have opinions, when you are wrong completely. In the mafia you do what you're told by your superiors. You opinions matters not at all. So yes, people will jump down your throat for said opinions. If you can't see that, then you honestly shouldn't be playing in the first place to be honest.

What exactly do you mean by playing? Are we playing a game here? If so, I wish you had let me in on the secret. The flaw to your plan is that in the olden days, people still spoke their mind. Yes, they were killed for it, but they spoke their mind. It doesn't matter if this is the mafia or the corner market. People will say what they want. 

The olden days are the olden days, times change. Peoples view on things change, it's always changing. You obviously have seen people come out time and time again voicing opinions and it causing nothing but headaches for everyone. Why you would want to waste your time around these streets after saying you want to leave and never come back is still mind boggling to me.

So in other words, please just do us all a favor and fulfill what you say you will do.

Oh, but you see, I am not wasting my time. If I were wasting my time, such esteemed people like yourself would not be here in the streets debating such trivial subjects, now would they? Obviously, by your reaction to my opinions, they have struck a cord. If not, you would simply walk away from the debate. As for causing headaches for everyone, that's is the way it should be. People should be forced to think, to debate. These streets are here for a reason.

I guess I'm going to have to read the scripts of those other speeches. All I heard here was a debate about whether people can and/or will say whatever they want, but I have not seen much substance debated other than the right to give an opinion.

I totally agree with him. Linux you have showed nothing but disrespect towards Jonnie, matter of fact, towards the whole mafia and in the coming days you will suffer your actions consequences. That being said, along with what Captain also said, me either will not dignify your bitterness and in my eyes, your jealousy carryouts. One day you shall learn my friend. 

In all honestly, I can barely understand half of what you said, with the poor grammar and all. However, onward to the pieces I can translate.

Alright, I do not really understand the last half of this..It's quite blotchy in my mind. Though, it looks as if you are attempting to say I am jealous of Chicago and what they have achieved? If anything, my goal is to insure that it does not occur again. Thus, why would I be jealous of them? I do not wish to become them, nor do I wish to lead as they lead. If anything, I pity the citizens of Chicago for being under leaders such as Jonnie_Reese and Roman.

I had a conversation with him myself, Magua.

It went from being a simple discussion regarding what makes some bloodlines more successful then others to personal slurs against me. The poor guy had twisted hatred of some bloodlines and values together till the turned into something unrecognizable. His debating skills suffered as well.
