| Protection Order - The Morningwood Elite | Started by: Princeso on Nov 07, '17 23:38 |
| I am sorry I don't live up to your requirement of needing to say what has already been said. To comfort your judging soul I did check to make sure someone had notified the masses not to shoot and to give time for us to find a home after waking up to the chaos, had no one said anything you can rest assured I would have said it myself. Feel better? | |

You say it's already been said but does that mean the masses should start to listen to just anyone that comes out to the streets to start issuing protection orders Luminosity? So if I were to come issue a protection order the next time a CL dies, that would be valid? Have we lost all standards? |

You say low standards, I say people are just trying to do their part. Perhaps it coming from the mouth of one of the old members isn't enough weight or high enough standards or that another city even helped out too for you, but why is that so wrong? If you're so concerned with standards maybe you should look at the whole picture. This is a debate that has gone on for ages now, something I don't foresee changing because most of the population doesn't even listen to what those in the streets have to say, unless they want to bitch and attack others. These standards are becoming more like customs, ways of the old. Some hold onto them, but many do not. I can't say I agree on losing them, but that is what time does, it changes things. |

Does it matter who said it , he has told you his position with Morning wood, he has the right to say so. Needless to say it was a dishonorable death, don't even think a pro order was needed. RIP Morningwood and my friend Phutureprimitive. A Great CL. |

I find that a very defeatist attitude to take. If you don't agree with losing them, do something about it. This isn't an attack, you simply choose to take it as such. I pointed out a very valid fact, one you seem to agree with when you agree that we had standards, or customs or traditions, whatever you want to call them, and we are losing them. You are in a position to do something about that, to bring back the old standards and try to build this world up again. Instead you choose to come out here and act like it was a personal attack and speak in a condescending manner to explain why you didn't post the protection order yourself. No, I don't find it acceptable that an upper from another city had to repeat, verbatim, this protection order in the proper place while many uppers from New York were around at the time and could have easily stated the protection order themselves, the proper way. I'm sorry that you do find that acceptable. I'd expect higher quality from your bloodline especially. Losing these simple standards, that you seem to think we can do nothing to save, are why I've been able to live in this world for as long as I have without the protection of a family. Losing them isn't a good thing and isn't something we should simply shrug our shoulders over. If we're going to lose old customs, at least improve upon them. |

Can I make a position too? I can come out here and say I'm the Interior Minister of some crew, doesn't make it true in the slightest. You're missing the whole point. |

protection orders don't cover upper structure of any lost crews as far as i know, and i may be mistaken but perhaps luminosity can clear this up for me but if there are any remaining upper structure left should they not be considered a threat? and if we deem "interior minister" not upper structure then we are to listen to the words of a earner. and as far as i checked back in history no earner who wished themselves protection was ever granted it maybe Dumdedum we are witnessing history here. |

How is someone to not take it as a personal attack when you specifically state my name?
And then go on to say we weren't worried about the rest, that we said screw them? Of course I'm not going to talk to you with a happy and loving voice. Did you forget that you were the first to throw the punch? Yet, honestly protection orders I suppose should have a place, but I've never cared for them. If people are gonna ignore them they will ignore them if they are there or not. Your very own crew rules should have taught you a few things, something that a protection order just reminds you not to do. If a leader dies an untimely death it is an unspoken rule that you just don't go out there shooting, protection order or not. So is this something I think we should hold on to? No. The only time they are useful to me is after a war and those who are left aren't burning it to the ground. So this is one of the things I am perfectly okay with changing. The things I want in this world are dead except for a select few who still care for it. If I was here to try and change that then all I would be doing is beating on a dead horse. So you're right, I am talking with a defeatist attitude at least in that sense. I'll still hold on to my own customs, but I am done trying to get the rest of the world to hold on to them too. For the record though, if you truly knew my ancestors you would know I didn't just say fuck the rest of the crew. |

| You see it as an attack, I see it as fact. You were around long enough to get into a new crew but not long enough to see to the protection of those under you. Someone else had to do it for you, two others to be exact. Say you don't believe in protection orders to begin with next time, would've saved time. | |
