A Storm's a brewin' in Old City District Started by: HotIce on Nov 10, '17 00:15

It had been a few days since the big move to Philly.  Now that the celebrations had died down, and all the boxes were unpacked, HotIce took some time to look around her full HQ.  She decided it was time to expand her HQ.  As she sat down at her desk, she poured herself a drink and she looked over her roster of hard working mobsters.  She had a few possibilities; after going over each of their strengths, weaknesses, work ethic, shown loyalty and a few glasses of wine later,  she decided on a person.  The Don called up her assistant, Gilliam, and asked him to bring Storm to her.   The few minutes that passed while waiting for Storm to show up, felt like hours to her.

She heard the door open, and HotIce put on a smile.  "Storm, welcome! Please have a seat!"   The Don motioned the chairs at the front of her desk and poured them both a glass of wine.

"Storm, my dear, I am sure you are curious as to why I have had you brought to my office this evening."  HotIce paused for a few moments, debating on whether to tease the sweet girl or not, and in the end she decided to just play it straight. "I have brought you to my office today because I have decided to expand operations here in Old City District, and I would like you to lead OCD's first expansion.  You have shown me nothing short of hard work and loyalty.  You're always the first person willing to step up and help, as well as always being open in communication.  I cannot think of a better way to repay this hard work."

You could see Storm body trembling as if she was frighten. The look in her eyes could only show she was expecting something different. It was pouring down so her tears could not be seen to even the near eyes. HotIce knew something was wrong, something was different about Storm.

What's wrong with you? Is everything ok Storm? -she asked-

As Storm begin to speak you could here the shakyness in her voice.

B Bo Bosses HotIce, I honestly thought this was my ending. I thought I was coming here to face death himself. This was very unexpected and I am at complete shock. To be honest I'm speechless and that's something we both know I'm never. Especially when you mix a few bottles of wine and start to sing on top of roofs at three in the morning.

You could look at Storm and tell she was still shaken up from this meeting that just place. Her world's were quick, but off topic as if she couldn't stay focus. She was all over the place and HotIce knew it was just excitement.

Storm, calm down my dear friend. I know this is a lot to handle at one time, but I have faith in you. I just want to let you know I'm proud of everything you've accomplished in this short period of time. I look forward to seeing what you can achieve in the future.

With those words Storm smiles and whispers some words in secret before beginning to rush off?

You're leaving already? -HotIce asked-

I have to go get MoonDog so she can help me build our new home.

Bye Bossssssssssss -as Storm fades off in the distance.-

East_Side_Tacos waddles up to Storm in a slow manner dropping taco sauce and shredded cheese on the floor.

Congratulations on your new position! I look forward to working with you in the future for the better of Philly!

Il-Velluto walks slowly, with his cigar in one hand and a bottle of Barolo Riserva vino in the other hand. He gives Storm the bottle and a firm but friendly handshake.

This vino is for you Storm! Congrats on your new position!

Santina sat at her desk, ink pen in her hand poised over the paper. The letter was addressed to Storm. It was brief, but it read the following:

Storm,

Thank you for welcoming me to your family. I know it is a risk taking in newcomers. I know we've kept in touch, but I wanted to send this formal note, letting you know that the door to my new home is always open for you and mi familila nueva.

Mucho Amor,

BGS

She folded the paper and sealed it in an envelope, handing it to one of her men.

"Make sure this ends up in the hands of Storm and no one else," she said as he took it from her. He nodded as he grasped the envelope and briskly left. While she knew that her men would spread the word of her open-door to her family by mouth, Storm required the due respect of a hand-written sentiment. Santina packed up her stationary as she got ready to leave town for a short trip.
