An offer he couldn't refuse Started by: Woltrazz on Nov 11, '17 17:08

I walk out of the HQ looking in his inner pocket for the piece of paper when he eventually finds it. The boss said twenty five thousand dollars and not a penny more but I found a way to make it even better. If he didn't budge I had to wack the bastard but that would be completely useless considering there was no one to sign the deed.

If he got wacked before the deed was signed it would fall back into the hands of the government. As far my knowledge goes would that be an even worse idea.
After grabbing a coffee and contemplating some for a period of time I finally had an idea how to do it, walked out of the coffee shop and stood in the middle of the street and shouted:

TAXI!

A taxi pulled up in and I stepped in obviously. The chauffeur looked at me and asked me where I needed to go. The usual cabtalk you would say. I normally asked him to bring me to Broadway Avenue in the South Side Chicago. He nodded once as we took off.
I came to realise that I was forgetting something and spoke up to the cab driver.

Hey buddy, could you stop by a bank on the way there? I need to grab some cash for ya.

The cabdriver said nothing and nodded once more.
That was a type of guy I liked. A no nonsense type of guy, just follows orders when asked and doesn't make a big fuss. Why should he actually? I'm paying him after all.

We pulled in at the bank and I politely asked him if he could wait there for a minute. He did his usual nod again and I hopped out.
I walked in the bank and asked the clerk if I could have a hundred bucks and if they could give me my savings which were around $100,000,-. The clerk gulped a little but complied.

After a brief period she returned with two paper bags filled with money and a hundred dollar note on the side as requested. I thanked her and made my way back outside where my new friend the cabdriver was still waiting for me. I hopped back into the car and we took off to Broadway Avenue.

Half an hour later we arrived on location and said to the my new best friend to wait here for approximately an hour. This time was different. He didn't nod but asked me a question.

Buddy I have other fares to do as well. Would you mind if I took those?

I was stunned for a bit but assured him that there would be a nice bonus in there for him if he would wait for an hour. He shrugged and agreed to wait for the time being after which I hopped out of the car holding the two paper bags as I made my way to the office of the owner.

Once there I knocked on his door but the owner was hesitant to open the door at first, asking what I was doing there. A bit odd considering the fact that he sells stuff but I think Don Capazzo scared him for some reason. It would make sense to be scared of Don Capazzo for obvious reasons but this man didn't know I was affiliated with him at all.

Look here buddy. I am not here to cause a stir or anything, I just want to talk to you for a bit.

He reluctantly opened the door and invited me in his office. There was the usual desk with two chairs, one in the front and one behind it. I made my way to the chair in the front and sat down, placing the two paper bags next to me. The owner sat down behind his desk and lit up a cigar asking me what I was doing there on which I answered.

I'm here to discuss something with you. We all know that Don Capazzo is after this lot and that he's a cheap prick. Well I am here to make sure he doesn't gets it so I am offering you $100,000 dollars for this lot so he doesn't get it.

The man gasped for a bit nodding. He confirmed what I said and told me that he was willing to sell it for the agreed price. I took the bags next to me and placed it on the desk for him to count the money which he obviously did.
When he was done counting it he smiled and said.

Pleasure doing business with you.

I returned the smile and took out the piece of paper and made him sign it so the ownership would be in my name. He complied full well, signing the papers after which I took the papers again and shook his hand. I stood up making my way to the door and just before I left I looked back at the now ex owner.

Oh yeah! Before I forget.

Don Capazzo sends his regards.

I pulled out my Colt M1911 from the back of my waistband aiming at him and pull the trigger.
The bullet crossed the room and landed right between his eyes making his world suddenly fade to black.
I look down to him as I tuck my gun back and reach down to grab his legs, dragging him to the edge of the carpet. I grab the edge of the carpet and starts rolling him up in it. The fucker is heavier than I thought at first as I try to lift him up which ultimately failed.

I look around the room for a bit and notice there is a fire place in there. I drag the rolled up carpet to it it and attempts putting it in the. It fitted with some brute force. I grabbed the petroleum used to ignite the fire place and pour it onto the carpet. After all that heavy lifting I grab a moment for myself and sit down for a bit, lighting up a cigarette.

While smoking up my cigarette I stand up again, grabbing the two paper bags again and toss the cigarette onto the carpet as it ignites the now completely soaked carpet. The flames stay nice within the edges of the fireplace when I make my way outside again where my friend the cabdriver waits. Without hesitation I hop in the car and places the two bags next to me as I fish some money out of bag which was approximately two grand and tosses it into the passenger seat.

Bring me to the coffeeshop where I halted you in the first place.

The cabdriver looks at the money and smiles and drives off. After about half an hour again we reach the coffeeshop on which I grabbed the two paper bags and made my way outside again thanking the cabdriver. The HQ wasn't that far from the coffee shop so I could walk for a small bit.

I entered the HQ and make my way to the office of Don Capazzo. I take out the deed from my inner pocket, placing the bags next to him.

It's done.
