The streets of Las Vegas had been quiet for a while. The former busy lights of Sin City distinguished by a fire that consumed the area. A new day was dawning however and from the rubble, new members of the Mafia community had begun to venture in and work towards rebuilding the town and bringing back some of its former glory.

Today was no different. It was time for Damnation to step forward and do their part in the revitalisation process. It was time to inject something new and try to generate some intrigue and excitement, whilst also making some lucker winners rich at the same time.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to introduce to you, Battlegrounds!"

Upon seeing the lights and mini explosions rip through the air, a crowd soon formed to hear about what was happening, eager to understand more and see if they had the expertise to not on compete, but claim victory!

"Battlegrounds will be an event run by ourselves in The Strip. The basics? It will be an event unlike any other, an event for a two person team to compete in, duo's from all across the country! The ultimate goal? Defeat all other teams within the tournament format and claim victory for not only yourselves, but your Distict and your City!"

With a quick clap, he turned to the side and smiled as a massive banner behind him rolled down to reveal more details about the event.

BATTLEGROUNDS

Format: A two man team elimination team tournament

Slots Available: 8 teams in total, 16 entrants (This may be increased dependant on volume of applicants)

Rules: The 2 members of your team must be from ONE family. Draw will be selected at random. Multiple entries are allowed from any given family.

Event Details: Each team will contain 2 members, one taking on the role of 'The Enforcer', the other being 'The Voice'. The roles are determined within your duo and that information is provided to us at application stage.

The Enforcer - Their role is to successfully pickpocket either the Enforcer or Voice from the opposing team. In the event that they try and fail on both, they will be provided with the name of a secret 3rd target who will be much easier.

Once a pickpocket has been successfully completed by 'The Enforcer', they contact myself, Villain or Chromatik for a code which will be provided to 'The Voice' on their team. (Proof will be required of the event and anyone caught cheating will be lose by default)

The Voice - Their role will be to come to the streets and inform everyone of their code and open a locked chest for all to see, announcing their victory.

Only when 'The Voice' for your team has spoken in the streets, will the contest be over for their battle, with the winners moving onto the next round in the tournament.

The contest will begin once the announcement is made by us in the streets. Entrants will therefore need to keep their wits about them to avoid losing an early advantage.

Note: Only one player max (per duo) is allowed IWP bodyguard status. This is to keep things fair game.

Grand Prize: The winning duo will receive a prize fund of a combined $5,000,000!

Turning back to the crowd, he allowed them a few moments to read before continuing.

"Moving on, the prize pool is currently set at $5,000,000 but should we receive support from other sources, we will increase this value to provide a larger pot for the winning team! Any increases made will be announced here. We expect the contest to last roughly a week in duration, however, should enough people register to make a second bracket, this time will likely extend to approximately 2 weeks."

Villain and Chromatik were sat slightly behind him, present for the grand opening of their new contest.

"For all those who wish to compete, please get in touch with any of The Strip Upper Management and we will register your name and notify you upon successful entry into the tournament. Any questions or queries, please contact us directly."

"We look forward to hearing from the applicants and wish you all the best of luck in the tournament!"

With the announcement done, Villain and Chromatik stood up, joining NME. Together they made their way over to their limo, returning back to their Headquarters within The Strip.

We are happy to announce that the prize fund has now been increased to a monstrous $15,000,000 for the victorious duo, thanks to the generousity of a rich benefactor. That means an individual share of $7,500,000 each for the winners to take home.
