| Remove house bets | Started by: Pimp_Gerald on Nov 23, '17 20:14 |

Dice started out really cool, you'd have a chat with a friend and suggest a game or two of dice, an hour later you were locked in an intense dice battle while chatting away... You might check the dice option and see a gambler making an offer, throw a few times with them. Get chatting and make a new friend and have a laugh. Progressively as the house expanded and covered all bets of all types and sizes dice became a very dull and unsociable experience. Nobody puts bets up, nobody wants to play each other and the few who still do just battle it out with the house. It was far more fun when it meant you had a social encounter. Just my though, in my opinion.. House killed the dice table. |

Before house puts up bets, he looks to see if a user has a bet up at that same value. If a user does, then house doesn't list. This means that house only has bets when there are no users placing bets. If we removed house bets now, I feel that dice would become dead because users don't put up bets. To be honest, I'd love if users took over all bets from house. It would mean that I no longer have those months where I lose thousands upon thousands of credits. But, before we consider removing house bets, how about the users put up bets (and using the current system, house will stop putting up new bets for that amount). If the users are capable of maintaining bets up 24/7, there would be no house bets under the current system. But I have a pretty large suspicion that users would be unable to afford to keep their bets up. So long story short, list your bets, and house bows out. List your bets 24/7 and maintain listings, and house will be no where to be seen. Dice is 100% user controlled, and only lists when there is no listings of that value so that users will always have something to. |

| There weren't bets up 24/7 when it first came out and that seemed to be fine, why has that changed so there Has to be bets up constantly? | |

Because I don't see people waiting around hours constantly refreshing the page to see if someone put up a dice bet so that they can accept it as being a desirable activity. Its like trying to IWP up by just busting out loaded BGs. Sure its *possible*, but it will take you a year or two because its so rare. :P |

I like House bets. Every time I actually go to say dice, those are the only bets that are available. If they weren't I would probably not bother gambling because waiting too long for other people to put bets is just not my thing. |

Your Dice Stats If users want to get in on this action they are more than welcome to, all they have to do is list and house backs down and lets the users take on all the action. Come on, I know you want to lose 1.4 billion in a month too :P |
