Brooklyn, NY 40 minutes after the talk with Carmine and Olympia. I sat in my car, window cracked slightly, watching and waiting until the jewelry store was empty. A good 10 minutes past, as I had time to enjoy a smoke before heading in the place. After getting out of my car and making my way across the street, I see a women, looked to be an employee leave in a huff. I stopped for a moment, looking up at the sign which read "Diamond hill Jewelers". I stuffed the fake gold necklace into my coat pocket before finally entering the establishment. As I entered, I hear a conversation going on in the back. Wasting little time, I flip the open sign to closed and lock the door. I then unhook the phone, ensuring no backup possibilities nor police. After a few minutes two men emerge from the back. As they spot me standing at the counter, I reply to both of them. "Who's the owner here!?." One guy walked to the far left of the counter, as the other guy spoke up and said "I am!, names Bruno...can I help you find something?." I reach into my pocket and pulled out the fake necklace, tossing it at the owner. As he ducks out of the way, the necklace smashes the back wall. Bruno jolts back up and shouts, "THE FUCK!, YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH MY JEWELRY!." Eying the owner I reply calmly "I have a problem with you selling knockoffs!, and scamming people in this neighborhood!." Bruno looks to the other guy and tells him to call the cops. Remaining calm I immediately reply, "Phone is disconnected!." The guy then charges me, as he makes his way around the counter. Acting quickly I draw my gun, but kept it well hidden so pedestrians passing by would not see the gun. The man stopped dead in his tracks, like it was the first time he saw a firearm. And who the fuck knows, maybe it was. As Bruno remained behind the counter, I spoke up to the frozen worker. "Shut the shades!, then go back behind the counter and don't move!." Fearing for his safety, he quickly cooperates and closes the shades, then walks behind the counter with his hands up in plain sight. I then look to Bruno, motioning him to walk closer to the glass counter. As he does I point to the spot of a real gold necklace. He looks down slowly as I grab the back of his head, slamming it off the counter. Blood covered the top of the glass counter as he held his hand over his nose, groaning in pain. I take a few steps back, aiming my pistol towards the worker, now carelessly in plain sight as no one could see me. I then speak up to Bruno. "the women you ripped off...she's my boss, also does not take kindly to being sold items that turn her skin green and cause allergic reactions!. But I'm here to give you a chance to make things right!...so here's what's going to happen. Your going to give me a real gold necklace, one that she paid for already. Then your going to fill a bag with the cash from the register!. This will make up for all the times you never kicked up profit from your store. Lastly, every week you will pay ten percent of you earnings here. If you don't, then someone will find you and your friend here in the dumpster out back!. Are we fucking clear?!." Bruno nods, holding his nose as blood continued to gush. I looked to his worker and replied "get your boss a something for his nose!." He grabbed a rag, and a bag. Bruno then placed the real necklace in my hand, which I placed in coat pocket. He then loaded the bag with cash. As I walked towards the back door he spoke up. "Ten percent a week and my whole register!...how can I afford that?." I stopped at the back door and reply, "Figure it out!...sell quality. Or fucking close shop, and operate somewhere else!." After walking out the back, I make my way back to my auto shop where Carmine and Olympia was still waiting on the car to be finished. I motioned for them both to come into the office. Once we all sat down I ensured them that everything went smoothly. I pulled out the real gold necklace Olympia was looking for and placed it in her hands. I then dumped some cash on my desk, looking eyes with Carmine first, then Olympia before responding, "Interest!. He also will be paying ten percent a week in profits." A worker then knocked at the door, shouting through it "Car will be ready in 5 minutes Jimmy!." I lit a smoke as I said to Carmine and Olympia "Well I would say that was perfect timing." |

Olympia watched as James-Sullivan came rushing in from outside with a large back, and she saw as he poured the contents out on his desk. She smiled and then wondered what he had to do to get all that cash, but she figured he would explain at some point. When he handed her the gold necklace, she examined it a bit, then hugged James. "I knew the right guy was on the job! Hopefully you didn't do too much damage though. We don't need this falling back on us, you know?" Just then, a worker knocked and said the vehicle was almost done, and James said it was good timing. She nodded and said, "Definitely great timing. You get back to give us the good news just before we're able to leave. So now I know I can trust you for even more jobs!" |
