Nearly three weeks ago NakedsAvenge hit the streets looking for work. I picked up a few jobs that fed me and afforded me a cheap motel for a couple of days. Settling in my roach infested Motel for a second, I can hear lyrics of Silent Night echoing from the streets. I peered out the window and smiled at the group of Christmas carolers. I found myself singing along. Worried how I would pay the next nights lodging fee, I concluded one day at a time and fell asleep. A few short hours later I awoke to a message. Excitedly, I jump in the shower and hop on the next flight to Philadelphia, PA. While in flight, I was replaying the message in mind. My plane landed. Greeted by a man unbeknownst to me "Get in the car." I do as instructed "I see you have done some work for us." I nodded in agreement. Before I could utter a word he cut me off. "Here's the deal kid. Money makes the world go round. You strike me as a man who agrees." "Yes Sir!" "I am going to invite you into the family and set up a time to meet my Boss. South Philly is in the makings but we need funds to get it up and rolling by December 16th." NakedsAvenge listened further to the man before him and he knew he was the right man for the job. He opened the car door and I knew that was my cue to get out the car. I waved down a taxi. I instructed the driver to my destination. Taking a long look at the streets of South Philly, and thinking much work is to be done, yet not impossible to renovate a Christmas theme by the 16th. I tossed the cabbie 2 bucks as I wished him a Merry Christmas. |
