One-Way Flight to Los Angeles Started by: Olympia on Dec 16, '17 05:33

At her desk, Olympia rifled through paperwork, reading through the day's reports. She was so focused on the papers that she almost jumped up out of her seat when the wall phone rang through the silence of her office. Taking a minute to compose herself, she took a few deep breaths before standing and walking over to the phone. She didn't want to sound out of breath or frightened when she said hello to whoever was on the other end.

After picking up the receiver, she said, "Hello. Olympia speaking."

A smile spread across her face when she heard CletusKasady's prominent, familiar voice on the other end saying hello back to her.

"Hey Olympia. What's wrong?" He asked her.

It's almost like he knew.. She thought to herself.

"Well," she started. "I was going through some papers and I was so zoned in on them that your phone call almost made me jump out of my skin! But anyways.. That's besides the point. What's going on? Is everything okay?"

He laughed for awhile before talking again, and when he did, he said, "I need you to drive over here to my Headquarters, and come up to my office. I have Thoros over here because I need to talk to you guys about some things. It's important, so if you can hurry, that would be great."

"Right away, Boss," She replied. "I'll be there as soon as I can!"

With that, she hung up the receiver and put her heels on, then her coat. She grabbed her purse and keys from the table by her office door and set out on her way to her vehicle. She quickly opened the door and seated herself inside, then shut it behind her and started the engine. It revved quickly and she put the pedal to the metal to get to Cletus' office.

When she pulled up out front of the massive building, she got out of her car, scanning the surroundings first before walking up to the front gate. The guard immediately recognized her and opened the gate for her, and she made her way up the stairs and into the building. Hanging her coat up, she looked around to see no one in her immediate vicinity, so she walked back to Cletus' office.

She knocked a couple times before pushing the door open. Immediately spotting both Thoros and Cletus, she waved a greeting and took a seat at the table they were at.

Clearing her throat, she said, "Hey guys. So what's the important meeting for? I hadn't heard of anything going down lately. It's all been pretty calm. At least on my end!"

Cletus put a hand on her arm and said, "Calm down. Nothing's wrong or anything. I actually needed to talk to both of you today for good reasons. It's about Los Angeles."

She looked at him blankly for a moment and then said, "What about Los Angeles?"

He smiled and said, "Well, I trust you two completely.. And I want Los Angeles to be an extension of New York, just like Philadelphia is! So I want you two to go there and set up your headquarters there. Olympia, you would be taking Downtown LA, and Thoros, you would be residing in Pasadena! However, Olympia, the Godfather there in Downtown, LA isn't going to be too happy with your move there, so you will just have to remove him. Really a piece of cake if you ask me. That would make you the Godfather Chairman.. Well, GodMOTHER Chairman! And Thoros, I think the Godfather there in Pasadena will be alright with you taking up a spot there, so long as you pay your taxes! Then, when the day comes, you can remove him too! Are you two up to this task?"

She nodded enthusiastically, saying, "I am definitely up to the task! I'm honored that you chose me and Thoros!"

Cletus then looked at Thoros as he said, "This is something I can do. I know it is. And I thank you for trusting both of us with this."

Cletus smiled at the two of them and clapped his hands together, saying, "Well that's that then. You two will be leaving New York on a private plane, just the two of you, so you guys can get your stuff set up in your new Headquarters in your respective districts before your members start arriving to the city. I look forward to New York working with you guys in Los Angeles, and I also look forward to seeing the masterpieces you guys will create over there! So you guys get on your way. The plane is ready at the airport. We'll be seeing each other soon."

Olympia eyed Thoros across the table and smiled, saying, "Well, you ready for this adventure?"

He nodded and they both got up from the table. Olympia walked around to give Cletus a quick hug and said, "See you around Boss. Thanks again."

They then left the office, making their way downstairs. She turned to Thoros and said, "I'll meet you at the airport in thirty minutes so we can board the flight. I need to get my clothes together, and my hygiene items. So I'll see you soon!"

While she was at her Headquarters in Brooklyn, Olympia placed a call to Carmine_Maldonado, Aislin and James-Sullivan, telling them to round up all the crew members and have them take flights to Los Angeles. She explained why, telling them the news, and then had them go on their way. She then rounded up her things, packing them into the backseat of her car, and made her way to the airport.

She spotted Thoros waiting by the plane and when she pulled up, she parked her car, got her things out of the back seat and carried them over to the plane. They had her load most of her stuff into the bottom storage area, but she was allowed to take a few of her bags onto the plane with her. They walked up the steps together and sat down after putting their bags in the storage compartments above the seats, and just a few short minutes later, they were on their way cross-country to Los Angeles.

It felt like days had gone by by the time the plane descended over Los Angeles. She stretched her stiff legs out in front of her, and lifted her arms above her head to stretch them as well. She looked over at Thoros and saw that he was still asleep. He had slept the whole twelve hours apparently, whereas she had only slept for half of the flight. Looking out the window, she saw the airport building coming closer as they plane landed on the landing strip.

Reaching across the aisle, she lightly shook Thoros. When he stirred she said, "We're here. You slept the whole time! Lucky.. I could barely sleep six hours.. But anyways. It looks like we have separate drivers to take us to our respective locations. I wish you luck getting your headquarters set up in Pasadena. Take good care of her. My family line has history there! And.. Maybe later this evening we can meet up for some celebratory drinks once we scout for a good bar!"

With that, she grabbed her bags from the compartment above her seat and exited the plane, making her way over to her driver's car. He opened the back door for her and she placed her bags in the seat, then walked around to sit in the passenger seat.

She said, "You wouldn't happen to know where the Godfather of Los Angeles lives? If so, that's where I need to go.. After you take me to the nearest coffee shop.. Getting a bit nervous now.."

He looked at her in the rear view mirror and nodded, a sly smile spreading across his face, and then set off to take her to the local coffee shop near the airport. She went inside and quickly ordered a coffee. The music inside the building calmed her nerves, and she took a sip of her coffee before exiting the building again.

She climbed back into the passenger seat of the car, and her driver then drove her to the large estate of the acting Godfather. She eyed the place, looking for any type of security, and when she noted that there appeared to be nothing, she got out of the car, putting her coffee cup on the passenger seat.

"I'll be back in just a bit, okay?" She told him, just as another car pulled up behind them.

She looked through the windows and saw that Carmine, Aislin and James were in the car.

She smiled and waved at them as they got out of the car, saying, "Wow! I'm not sure how you guys got here so fast, but I'm happy that you all arrived in one piece. And I'm glad your driver knew where the current Godfather lives! I could sure use lookouts! I just want you guys to stand outside the door until I give the signal that it's all clear inside. Then you guys can come in while I take out the Godfather. Maybe find some valuable things that we can sell or something.. This guy's probably loaded!"

They nodded and followed Olympia, making their way up to the front door. She wiggled the doorknob just to find out that it wasn't even locked. This guy clearly wasn't worried at all.. Or he just didn't care anymore.. She shrugged and pushed the door open, pulling her gun out of her holster, and turned to make sure that Carmine, Aislin and James were standing watch. Then she turned back towards the room she was entering, scanning it and noting that there was no noise; no movement. She turned back around and nodded, and the three others followed her inside.

"Take whatever you can get honestly. This guy doesn't need it anymore," she told them. "I'll be back once I take care of him, okay? But, be fast because this shouldn't take me long at all."

She slowly walked through the hallway towards a room at the end where she could hear music playing very low; almost too low. Opening the door, she saw a frail-looking man laying in what appeared to be his death bed. She thought it would be a fight but.. This was just too easy. All she really needed was his pillow!

So she holstered her gun, being careful to not make the old man stir from his deep slumber, and walked over to his bedside. There were two pillows on the bed. His head was laying on one of them, and the other was just to the side, so she grabbed the extra one. She said a silent prayer before placing the pillow over the man's face.

The sad part was that he didn't even flail. His body lay there perfectly still while he fought for his life, and she wondered if maybe he was paralyzed or something. She held it there long enough to know that he was dead before lifting the pillow. His eyes were open as if he was shocked, so she closed them with her fingers before checking for breathing. There was nothing; no signs of life.

She turned to leave the room, shutting the bedroom door behind her and walking down the hallway, seeing her three partners in crime still looting the man's living room.

They each had a full bag so she said, "I took care of the Godfather. It wasn't even a fight. I was hoping for one.. But oh well.. You guys ready to get going? I figure I can tell my driver to leave and just drive with you guys because.. Carmine.. I need to talk to you anyways."

He looked at her curiously, and they exited the house. The door slowly shut behind them and they walked down the sidewalk, putting their loot bags in the second car. Olympia walked around the first car to tell her driver she was going to go with them, and that she just needed her stuff. She gave him a hundred dollar bill and he got out, opening the back door of the car for her so she could grab her bags. She nodded at him and waved goodbye, carrying her bags over to the other car and putting them in the trunk.

When she got in the car with the three others and their driver, she said, "Well.. Now that that's handled.. What do you say we go back towards the airport? There's a coffee shop there where my driver stopped for me before all this. It's a good place for a quick meeting. Better than a car at least."

They agreed and the driver took off, driving them to the coffee shop.

When the car pulled up out front, she said, "Just wait for us. We'll need a ride around town to find a couple good buildings later if you're free. I'll tip you well so no need to worry about that aspect."

Once they were inside the coffee shop and had all ordered their drinks, they took a seat at an empty round table towards the back of the building where no one would hear them talking.

Olympia cleared her throat and said, "Alright so.. Carmine. I'm now in control of the whole city of Los Angeles. Thoros is setting up his headquarters in Pasadena, and he will be the acting Godfather there, so that part is taken care of, but.. When I find a good building for my own Headquarters, I will need someone to set up under me in Downtown LA to take the members that I can't hold anymore, and I want that person to be you! Are you up to that task?"

She smiled as he responded and when he finished, she said, "Alright. That's what I was hoping you would say! So.. What do you say we head out and go find ourselves a couple good buildings!? And I told Thoros that later we could all meet up for drinks once we find a bar. So let's get going!"
