The Mystery Machine Arrives Started by: Shaggs on Dec 18, '17 13:58

Shaggs pulled his old van up to a brand new, shiny building and smiled. It had been a long time since anyone in his line had seen such a beautiful site. He'd been blessed to have worked for two incredible leaders in Dovahkiin and East_Side_Tacos. The van puttered to a stop and he stepped out looking at the old brown van and thinking it needed a new paint job. His best friend KatyPerry would be along shortly and they had lots of work to do. It was just a matter of when to start! As he was looking around he saw a car pull up and watched Katy step out.

Katy! Finally! It took you long enough to get here. What do you think of the place? Also I've been doing a lot of soul searching and I think we need a crew dog.

BESTFRIENDSHAGGS, The Boss, had finally gotten his own place. Awwwww, Katy thought to herself as she drove over to the headquarters with all the supplies. As she slowed the car to the curb her destination, she could see Shaggs waiting outside for her. He looked full of ideas and of course, as soon as she opened her door he was asking where she had been. Like she hadn’t just dropped EVERYTHING she was doing to come join him. There were TaylorSwift murders to solve. Katy exited the car and pulled all the things she brought with out of the backseat.

I can’t believe you still drive that thing.

She looked at the broken down beat up dumpster fire that Shaggs drove around. So many dead bodies had been transported in that thing, whew, if those walls could talk. He either wasn’t paying attention to her or just straight up ignored her. His facial features didn’t give anything away. He was a man on a mission.

"What do you think of the place?"

Shaggs asked her as she joined him where he stood. He greeted her by directly her into the building in front of them, he continued to speak but Katy was preoccupied with all the stuff in her arms to really hear anything he was saying. Until…

Wait! Did you say dog? Katy asked with stars in her eyes. I’ve heard that dogs in the work place make people happy. I fully support this idea. Maybe a great dane? Maybe he’ll solve mysteries with his owners?

"Wow Katy, you sure have a bunch of thoughts on the dog. Now how about the crew and The Bronx?"

A girl can dream.

Shaggs opened the doors and they walked into the back. Katy dumped the bag she was carrying onto a chair and set the up rolled up blueprints onto the table. She turned from the table to get a look at the place.

Well… Shaggs gave her a look. Finally! A reaction. It’s perfect! But it needs a couch over there. Something plush and a few blankets in the closet over there for afternoon naps.

"What, are you a cat?"

No, but my cousin is. This time it was Katy that got the first look in. Okay, I’ve got a bottle of whiskey in the bag get it out with the glasses and lets take a look at these blueprints.

Shaggs joined her at the table and opened the bag. She got started on rolling the blue prints out and flat. After he removed the glasses and the bottle Katy had told him about she reached into the bag and pulled a book, a rock, a magnify glass and a box of snacks out of the bag. She used each item to hold a corner of the paper down. Once satisfied, Katy accepted the glass of whiskey from Shaggs. She clinked hers against his.

To The Mystery Machine!

I think that every HQ needs a dog.

Syndicate had just recently heard the news, Shaggs was setting up a place nearby and Syndicate did not have the address. He knew he was looking for an old brown van that was in need of a paint job, at least that was how Shaggs himself always described it. It was long before Syndicate wandered a few neighborhoods and finally saw the van, it was parked outside a humdinger of a property. There was nobody outside so Syndicate was forced to go knock on the door. Perhaps he would be one of Shagg's first visitors.

Knocking at the storm door ever so gently he could hear the sound echo through the still empty headquarters that was still in need of a few moving vans of furniture. No one answered the door but there was a fancy knocker on the inside door. He opened the storm door and much to his surprise found the front door open a crack. Being polite he knocked on the door gently again so that it would not open much further. Again no one came to the door.

Sliding the door open a little more to peek inside and point his voice to carry through the house Syndicate called out through the seemingly empty house, "Hello? Shaggs? Anyone home?" Syndicate moved the door open a little more with his foot and took a step inside. The place was beautiful, a large marble entrance way and a lobby looking greeting area with doors and hallways shooting off in different directions. A large staircase ran along the side wall and would be the obvious place to start looking for people. But was Syndicate really about to start wandering through someone's home? Yes, yes he was. He started up the staircase in hopes to find someone soon.
