The cool wind of December’s fingertips caresses my face as I lean out the window to see whether the cargo had arrived. The sea breeze was heaven-sent, because without it I knew I’d have been sweatin’ bullets.
The cops loomed close by. I tried numerous of tactics to sway them, from bribery to threatening –nothing seemed to work. I grimaced; I guess the saying really was true eh? Some cops can’t be bought. I chuckled a little at that thought, fat chance. I had a plan though. Something that had been in the works for quite some time, and it would come to fruition tonight.
I tipped my hat to one fat bastard eyeing me and my associate Ricky D. I didn’t know how they got the Intel that the drop was tonight, but I swear on my mother’s grave that the fucking rat would die before the embers of dawn touched the sky. Ricky D nudes me with his shoulder, “Fuck those pigs.” He says in disgust and spits out the window. I nod in agreement, yes fuck’em.
Twenty to thirty or maybe forty minutes –who the fuck knew later The distraction came by way of five thugs that I saw two weeks prior, they’d been wanting in with Altis and they wanted me to make the introductions personally to Godmother @Olympia. I needed something and they needed something. That was a win/win in my book. The first thug sneered at the cops as he came from around the corner. The two cops eyed the thug up and down before getting out the car with weapons drawn. “I ain't scared of no coppers. Us thugs man, we run this city. Whatcha gonna’ do shoot me? Do you know who the fuck I am?!” The thug asked and demanded at the same time. He grimaced in disgust, putting on the best damn show of his life.
I smiled hearing those words. Nah’ they didn't know who the fuck he was, but it was funny to watch the cops look visibly shaken wondering just who he was. The other thugs came around the corner weapons aimed and hopefully loaded, this wasn't the brightest bunch after all. Although, the leader did show promise. The cop on the left sneered, thinking that they still held the upper hand causing me to laugh outright then, because he truly didn't know just what the fuck he was in for. One of the thugs on the right yelled, “Fucking coppers, die a slow death!” The cop closest to him turns an unhealthy shade of pale. He’s one minute away from pissing himself, I think as the group advance, the cop on the right visibly shook causing his trigger finger to slip and misfire, the thug closest to him drops with a thud, “Fuck man he shot me in the leg!” He yelled, the other thugs advanced on them with new found purpose, an eye for an eye. They knew the rules, and besides only one of them had to live anyway. I turned my back on them just as my cargo reached the shores straight from Japan.
Time seemed to slow down in that moment. I didn't worry about the rat, I didn't see the thugs beating up the cops, nor did I see it when one thug pulled the trigger and blew one of the cops to pieces. My entire focus was on the cargo and all the hundreds to millions I could see us making in just a week. Ricky D smiled catching my train of thought, “C’mon Ais, let's go see what our cargo is looking like.” I grinned and we made our way down to the shipping dock.
Swimming In Money The police officer or rather what was left of him lay bound and gagged, we’d gotten our answers and I had sent someone ahead to find the rat and bring him to warehouse. Finally, we finished transporting the last of the cargo from the ship to the car. I tipped my hat to the boys working for us and said, “It was nice working with you boys. Couldn't have done it without you. I’ll be sure to put in a good word for you all with the boss.” And slid inside the car. Ricky D saluted the crew before getting in on the passenger side. Knowing that I hated when he drove me around, and besides I looked too damn good to be on the passenger side of anybody's car.
We arrived at the crews unofficial official warehouse and I went inside secure in the knowledge that the lackeys would see to it that the product was unloaded and inside safely and in a timely manner. I pulled one lackey to the side, “Did you do what I asked? Yes ma’am the snitch is inside.” I nodded my head and presented him with a crisp fifty, mentally shrugging because I knew just where the money was going either snorted up his nose or shot up his arm, and honestly I didn't give a fuck.
