i play quite a variety of games, and i do really appreciate that this game is add free! something which has become quite common on most games now is an option to earn gems/credits/tokens etc by watching advertisements. would this be something that might be considered in the future for mr?
im not sure exactly how it works but i assume the games get some sort of money out of the videos being watched, if that's how it works it could be additional revenue for the site without being forceful or invasive since it would be our choice to click the option and watch a video for a reward. you could for instance allow people to view up to a certain amount of videos per day/week and set the credit reward quite low like maybe 0.10 credits per video? cap it so maximum of a credit a day can be earned or something like that?
benefits : Possible extra revenue for the site, Additional option to earn a few credits for those who cant or dont spend real money, none invasive or in your face adverts.
cons : a few extra credits in circulation, could possibly be abused somehow not sure |

To be honest, I kind of hate that shit. Sign up for this, do this, download that, watch this, subscribe to that. I really don't think I want to go down the road where users get exploited like this for a few dollars. The game needs to pay its bills, but not to the point where users are getting exploited by outside advertisers :/ |

well i wasnt suggesting all the signing up stuff, but surley just watching video adverts wouldnt be too bad, and it would still be a choice :) |

I just did a 15 minute quick check on rewarded video to see how its improved in the past few years. Well, you can watch a few minute video and get a few pennies :/ Or you can buy the product and get a few % Or you can click and sign up for the service and get a few %
All in all, I just don't feel comfortable with users spending 4 minutes with that window in focus to watch an advertisement about dishwasher detergent/pay-in-advance-funeral-cost-services/subscription based home security service for .08 of a credit.

I really don't feel comfortable with the affiliate programs out there now at all. They are so predatory. Get 2 free credits for signing up for a free 30 day trial of Wonder Widgets! You put in your credit card info knowing you'll remember to cancel on day 29 and then you forget. Boom, you just got bill 29.99 for some shit you didn't even want for 2 credits. You go to their website to cancel and spend 5 minutes and cant find a way to do it. So you send an email. 9 days later they get back to you with directions on how to do it that doesnt really match up with their website. Now you spend 45 minutes on the phone trying to cancel and they make you jump through 25 hoops. Then you spend 25 minutes on the phone with your credit card company doing a chargeback. Then you lose the chargeback because they are able to prove that you signed up and agreed to it. 3 credits. Ain't worth it man. Until there are reputable companies doing this that make it a 3-way-win for you, me and them, its simply not worth it. |

Almost every in game feature gives you cash to get credits or credits. Do a drug trade? Cash for credits. Do a petty? Cash for credits. Do a felony? Cash for credits. Go on IRC? Free credits. Post with VIP? Free credits. OC? Cash for credits. Acheivements? Cash for credits and free credits. Do work for your boss/crew? Cash for credits/free credits. PP? Free cash for credits. Like, every feature :P |
