Nothing Is Fair In a Tragic Love Affair Started by: Honesty on Dec 22, '17 20:07

On a frosty winter day, Honesty was starting to sway. All this joy in the air, he felt little; it was not fair…

For love in his life’s been lost, his feelings were tossed. Tragically, another man came in and broke his heart at a holiday inn. Honesty’s wife, Candor, slept with another and the press began to slander with what followed thereafter. Deceit was his name and cheating was his game. At the time, Honesty was ignorant, he had no need to be vigilant. He loved his wife with all his heart, he soon learned that she hadn’t from the start. Candor was in it for his money, and Deceit was her true honey. Honesty made a fortune from his business; a successful maple syrup company without precedence. Worse, Deceit was his worker, a completely valued member. Deceit was a companion to Candor, but quickly faded as their love began to flower.

Six months later, back at the inn: The place which Honesty had seen their sin. He was throwing a party for his workers; they worked relentlessly – they’re no slackers. Honesty’s best friend, Honor, told him that Candor’s love was fodder.

-What are you talking about, have you gone mad?

-I caught them in bed, they were doing something bad.

-Honor, you’re my friend, please don’t lie to me.

-I would never lie to you, but please tread lightly. The press will make you live years of obloquy.

-That I can handle, but please tell me that this is prattle.

-I’m sorry, my friend, you should go see them right now.

-How could this happen…How?

Honesty rushed out of the room, went upstairs and what he saw will bring him gloom. Deceit and Candor lying in bed together. Honesty was dazed and what followed was crazed. Deceit jumped out the window and Honesty tried to follow. Candor grabbed his arm to hold him back, Honesty hit her so hard that her jaw cracked. Deceit was running at a furious pace and Honesty wanted to hit him with a mace. Fearful of nothing, he jumped too and out the window he flew. Because Honesty is Canadian, but not Acadian, he ran on ice without slipping and it almost looked like he was figure skating. He caught up with Deceit and the two spun around on their feet, but what they hadn’t realized is that they were on an ice rink and people were playing hockey, but their game did stink. Some of the players saw them and others didn’t which caused mayhem. A player shot a puck, and another did duck. The puck hit Deceit and Honesty’s punches did accrete. Blood splashed the ice; Deceit payed the price.

The people only could stair and this night, you could say, was quite an affair.

To be continued…
