Depends witch way your going. Wanna go fighting ability the The Dark Knight but if you wanna go with pure strength then The Man of Steel is your cup of tea.

Wait... Is this supposed to be who we prefer or who would win in a fight?

People like Batman for his darker edgy side. If you include the dark version of Superman though, no way he should lose any poll to Batman.

Enjoy Batman more and Batman would win in a fight as well. Not hand to hand of course Superman would demolish him. But we all know Batman has MULTIPLE plans to deal with or pacify the Man of Steel and not all of the rely on Kryptonite but most of them do

Superman is a Superhero. Batman is a vigilante. There is no contest.

I definitely more strongly identify with Superman. But, he’s an alien! Meh. Not really. Unlike other characters from other planets, Superman was a baby when he came to Earth. He was a blank slate. All of his memories, upbringing, and sensibilities are human. He’s no more “alien” than any superpowered character in comics. I like the stories where he’s trying to fit in, trying to find a niche where he can use his powers to help his adopted home while still retaining something like a normal life, and attempting to balance life as Superman and Clark Kent. You see that kind of thing in Batman stories, but I think it’s more compelling as a Superman story simply because there’s more to it. Batman is Batman, Bruce Wayne is just a disguise he wears.
That being said, I like Batman stories better. I don’t think a lot of writers know what to do with the shit ton of powers Superman has, plus they usually make him act like a retard. And video games? Don’t get me started. Seriously, play the Arkham series and then try to play Superman 64… Yeah. Detective stories are kind of easier to do really well.
As for who’d win in a fight? Superman, obviously. Unless the write whips out some kind of deus ex Batman plot device. Argh!! Don’t say “Justice Buster” to me. Seriously. Don’t. You’re Batman, not Ironman!! Do can has Hulkbuster ripoff!! NO! CAN! HAS!
Bottomline: I like Batman and Superman. I just don’t think putting them on the same team was a good move. Plus, I absolutely loathe a certain segment of Batfans. But, that’s a whole other rant.

Kal-El for sure but The Dark Knight could give him a run for his money.

I have to go with the dark night. Maybe bias because the DN is a little more mainstream than the man of steel. even tho the possibilities of the man of steel are off the chain.

Superman if he had no restraint such as being a good person. But he is. So Batman will exploit him along with using any kryptonite gadgets he has.
