I was on Duolingo brushing up on my Mandarin when a notification popped up that reminded me of MR and our daily hustle points. Duoling is an app that helps you learn a new language by challenging you to participate with it each day. After completing your daily goals within the app you acquire Lingots. You can spend the lingots on power ups. 

The notification I received was letting me know I had enough lingots to purchase the power up named Streak Freeze. This allows your streak to remain in place for one full day of inactivity. 

Daily Goal = Daily Hustle
Lingots = Daily Hustle Points
Power Ups = Perks

If you miss a day or you don't complete your daily goal you start back at one, much like our daily hustle points. 

I would like to suggest a perk much like Streak Freeze that would give us a forgiveness on one daily hustle we didn't complete. 

I was thinking about this suggestion Wednesday and then I just so happened to miss my daily hustle on Thursday (didn't get all the needed drug sales in) and now it's Friday and I'm starting back at one. Starting back at one is a bummer, but I see the challenge here. Though, some forgiveness would be nice. Life is busy and this is a game. 

There is room for abuse of this perk and unfortunately there are people that would take advantage of it. I like the daily hustle. I see it as a great motivator for people to log in every day. To take away the opportunity for people to take advantage of this suggested perk I would suggest that one can only purchase the perk every 15, 30 or 45 days - whichever fits the game the best. Also, put a cap on how many of these perks you can have at once. That way people aren't hoarding and selling off to the highest bidder on a potentially sought after perk. I would suggest the cap be at 2 perks. 

Additional thoughts: The streak saver could only save half of your progress instead of all. Example: If you are at 4 daily point streak, you miss a day and the perk is activated you get bumped down to 2 instead of 1. 

i would suggest that say the perk costs 1 credit, to freeze your streak for oneday, if you buy it within 72 hours it costs 2 credits, again it costs 4 credits, again it costs 8 credits and so on. sure you can go on holiday for a week, but it would cost you hiundreds of credits to freeze your streak.
