Sitting at the desk before him, Insomnia slowly hung up the phone. He had just called both Roman and Luminosity to meet him in his office immediately. The three of them had some business to get done and time was a bit pressing. The days never seemed long enough and time just kept ticking by. The two would probably be a good bit due to traffic, but that gave him time to figure out what to say to them and how to do it. Two pairs of keys lay upon his desk, one for the lady and one for his gardener, Mr. Reigns, who always took great care for his lawn. They both had little idea of what the reason behind the summons were for. Insomnia smiled and looked out the window. These two were hard workers and helped whenever and however they could. About ten minutes later someone knocked on the office door. In walked Luminosity, which was soon followed by Roman. The two looked at each other a bit confused, but greeted each other happily. They stood before Insomnia with puzzled looks on their faces and waited. Yet, it was Roman who broke the silence. "So...gonna tell us why you brought us here today? Or do we need to guess?" The man chuckled to himself and waited for a response. Insomnia looked at the two and then set his gaze upon Roman. "Well, I am tired of you thinking my yard is yours, so I'm kicking you out. Toss me your keys." Roman looked a bit shocked, but took out his keys to his headquarters. "And take these instead, brother, because you're going to need them to get into your new place over in Manhattan!" A smile crept across Insomnia's face as the two started laughing and hugged each other. The keys were swapped and Luminosity congratulated him on the move. "Oh, you're not getting off so easy, missy! These keys are for you, you're taking up your own shop here under me in Brooklyn." Luminosity's eyes grew big. She was surprised that he would choose her, but nonetheless honored. Taking the keys from him she thanked him and gave him a hug. "I will do my best not to let you down, sir!" He nodded and then motioned for them both to get out of here. "We all got work to do, you two even more so now. So get your asses out and start fixing up your new spots!" They all laughed, but knew he wasn't lying. Everyone had a lot of work ahead of them, so they made their way out. |

On her way out, she ran her fingers over the keys in her hand. She was going to be opening her doors and a chance to help those who chose to enter them. What kind of business did she want to run? What kind of people would she need? Could she live up to expectations? So many thoughts ran through her mind, but the main thing she focused on was that she would do her best and help any who wanted a chance to shine with her. Unlocking the door to her new place she placed her bag down and looked around at all the dusty furniture and the dark hallways. Even though everything seemed so empty and dim she knew that she would be able to light it all up and create something that would possibly be remembered. Brushing off the sign that she had custom made for her business she then walked outside and hung it up. Star Crossed Smiling and getting a good glance at the way it looked hanging there she nodded. Turning to look out towards Insomnia's home she mouthed, "Thank you", and made her way back inside to start getting everything in order. |

Lucky_Seven stood outside what used to be his home. It was not much to look at, but, he presumed people like him had started at rather humble, yet broken down beginnings. His parents had even moved from the small home in Brooklyn to somewhere closer to the rest of the family. Lucky's hand remained in his pocket as he walked, his eyes darting from one face to another - only recently, had there been work. Of course, he knew that it was not strictly legal but who gave a rat's ass about it? He was out there earning for a family who treated him more like family than his own blood did. Tapping out a stick from the box, Lucky placed it gingerly between his lips as he reached in for the lighter. "Ah, ya got to be kiddin' me." He grimaced. His lighter was out. Glancing up, Lucky sought out the sympathy as a poor man without looking like a street rat, pocketing his lighter. It was a little trick he used to to when he was a young kid on the streets, when his parents had not been attentive to his well-being. |

I shook hands with Godfather Insomnia before exciting his headquarters. Once outside, I turned around as the door shut behind me. Looking up at the newly built structure then over to the building I used to call home. Cracking my neck I smiled at the thought of all the good memories I'd had working here in Brooklyn. By the time I had gathered my thoughts Luminosity had already walks across the way and made it to the front door of her new headquarters. She yelled thank you to Insomnia and made her way inside her new home. I caught up as fast as I could, but she was quick. I wanted to make sure she was good with her promotion and to see if I couldn't help her get her new place situated. Once I got to the steps and made it inside myself I was astonished to see that Insomnia was quick to move everything. I had just put all my personal belongings in the headquaters and over night he had everything in moving trucks sent on there way to Manhattan. Luminosity and I both looked in each others direction once I made it inside and laughed simultaneously. I shook my head as she said "Insomnia". It was a cold reminder of the past present and future. We were both over the top excited for each others opportunities, but knew what coincided with them. Looking around I noticed that some of my furniture was actually still in some of the rooms in the headquarters. Realizing that some of these pieces were actually ones Luminosity had commented on when over visiting. She must of negotiated with the boss, he was a push over when it came to giving Luminosity anything I liked. Running my arm across a nice arm chair I had shipped in overseas I raised an eyebrow to her and said this was nice, I had one just like it. We both laughed again, but this time it was me that said "Insomnia" with a chuckle. I helped move some of her stuff in when the movers had shown up with her belongings and a bunch of brand new items the boss had ordered to help make it feel more like home. Shaking hands once done I explained how excited I was to have the opportunity to work with her on this level. I had to make my way over to my own place and see what kind of work I had ahead of me. By now most the family should have been moved and hopefully helped with his own moving process. Once Luminosity went back inside I ran around the back and walked in through the back door. Insomnia was crazy if he thought I was leaving that chair behind. I creep through the place and walked into a back office silently where the chair was located. To my surprise Luminosity was already sitting there waiting for me. "Did you forget something", she asked with a smirk. |
