| A Walk Around the Streets | Started by: Cherry on Jan 11, '18 19:34 |

Cherry stepped out of her headquarters and took a look around the streets. There was a lot of hustle and bustle. People were busy doing crimes and avoiding the police. She watched with fascination as the little details popped up and smiled when it was successfully done. Her eyes took everything in and she began to walk further into the streets. The crowds closed in around her. Ladies at shops with young children, men on business and the little thugs running amock trying to pinch a buck. Finding herself too crowded she continued her walk down to a quieter corner. She noticed some old faces. Ones that had put in their time and were now just observers. They watched, and they remained quiet. "Am I becoming like them?" she wondered to herself. As she began to think she realized had closed up she had become. How the paperwork piled high on her desk and the people that ran in and out of her HQ. She enjoyed all of that but she was missing the streets. The debates, the stories that were told and the news. She'd have to do better and get out here more. More walks. More times to see the world and the antics. "I'll get around to it." She tightened her jacket around her and went off in search of some coffee. It'd be too cold before long and there was much to do. |

Lucky braced himself against the biting wind, his jaw clamped tightly as he walked past a wind tunnel - the wind ruffling his hair and chilling his very bones and yet, the Brooklyn-born had more than a reason to ignore the cold. He had been, with blessing, allowed to move from one crew to another - from Sal Moretti's to MarieCosta's. He was honored (and a little nervous) for what the future held. He felt himself moving up in the world but with such change, a lot remained the same. He was an earner, trying to find some cash for a batch of Barbs he had bought. Lucky was in no particular rush to sell, not until the prices were right - that was. He had a nose for a good bargain. Lucky fiddled with the lid of his lighter as cold fingers struggled to light the cigarette that danged between his lips. There was a lot to consider, and a fair bit going on in his life as well. His cousin had made his way down to Chicago and was now bunking with him for the short while that he was here; by short, his cousin was staying down for a month. Their mother had been less than impressed when he had come home, having spent the vacation money on gambling - so, here he was, cramped up with him in his apartment. |
