Death looks on amazed at the sudden outbreak of OOCitis and wonders if his friend Mortis has finally arrived to find him. There appears to be no sign of his Sheep's Skull headed Lieutenant however. Unaffected by diseases on account of being already dead, death approaches the man and stares at him out of curiosity. The only constant in this business is change.  Peaceful streets and stress free morgue workers are aberrations.  Sure, things may settle down and this period of stability and growth is good but family grudges will manifest themselves over time, often explosively.

For all the bleating about underground groups, rightly or wrongly they will always exist.  There will always be groups of people who know their faces may not fit well enough to get be one of the anointed few and a minority of these will attempt to join forces and affect change of their own making.  From one generation to the next friendships are made then bonds are broken as wars rage and accidents occur.  In the coffee shops and secret meeting rooms therein, these friendly bonds between generations are given new life.  Chance conversations and comments among friends, such as “Don’t like that Cosmo, he’s a prick, let’s keel the mofo!”, are given life and ideas and ideals evolve.

Maybe it’s the life that drives people down that route.  Perhaps it’s the only way the individuals feel any form of accomplishment is by infiltrating the upper echelons of our organisations and attempting to orchestrate a sophisticated (or not) takedown of those around them.  My bloodline has watched in days gone by when a person with a grudge got to RH of a family and while the family slept he went around killing as many of them as they can.  The error is made by promoting these individuals and not knowing.  The redemption is finding out and doing something about it before it comes to anything

For all the self-righteous indignation on display, individuals crave power and publicity.  The 15 minutes of fame concept may not be widely known about yet but the easiest way is to do what people on the periphery have done for generations, form groups of the misguided and gullible try and take control and fail miserably.  It’s what they’ve always done and what will continue to happen.

There’s nothing you, me or anyone can do.  You can’t stop like minded individuals meeting in secret.  You can only hope one of them is stupid enough to open their mouth.

I'd like to put my two cents in before my flight back home.  First off, I do not condone anyone going "rogue" as you put it.  In fact I agree with everyone that the cities are in rebuilding mode and I for one enjoy the peace.  I will say this, after reading countless numbers of my forefathers journals, there have been dozens of times if not more when people, not just thugs but crew leaders and Godfathers alike have said "If you don't like the way things are run then rank up, train your gun and do something about it!"   Yet we have people come out here and bash fellow mobsters for doing exactly that.  Let's not forget THIS IS THE MAFIA!!  We should all strive to be "Top Dog", if not what the fuck are you doing here??  It really chaps my ass to hear gangsters and earners come out here and publicly bash a deceased mobster, a deceased Consigliere for that matter for following a dream he had to make the world a better place in his eyes.  Again, I am not condoning it, speaking ill against Don Cruel for his actions, or stating any unhappiness with the way things are right now.  I am just saying let's not criticize a man for doing what many have told others to do in the past.

Maybe this term needs to be clarified for the more mentally challenged of you. Rank up, prove yourself to your family, become authed as a CL, maybe someday aspire to great things like becoming GF to a city and THEN do something about it.

Also, not everyone strives to be top dog, some of us are genuinely here to help our families progress and become more powerful without wishing to become a CL. This is a lot of work that not everyone is suited to. You, for example have a lot to learn about the way things are run here before I would say you are ready to become CL.

You also cry about why everyone including lowly gangsters are pissing all over a Consigliere of LV's grave...may I suggest to you that when he put his little rogue faction before his family, he gave up all entitlements to that rank and the respect it holds, it would most certainly seem that Cruel agrees with that considering his actions on the matter.

Explain to me how you think what Epic was right. You said he ranked up and did something about it, implying that he should be lauded for his actions rather than criticised.

It's quite interesting Yawn that you put a right or wrong label upon how to take control of this way of life. If we go by how you have labelled right or wrong ways of taking control then you must be implying that TheDean went "the wrong way" about doing things. I feel that like so many others have said in the past if you want to change our ways, rank up and do something about it means just that. There are no right or wrong ways to take charge of the mafia, to be top dog as Bruiser put it, there are just simply more ways than one. Your way seems to have a very long time scale whereas Epic's idea (if it truly was an idea to take over) was quick, to the point and if executed correctly would be an overnight process. However, it was quite obvious that Epic had little skill when it came to the ability of being subtle since it came to Cruel's knowledge that at some point Epic had plotted upon the downfall of the current regime.

Again back to the statement of "Rank up and do something about it" I believe that any man whose lips these words left was challenging those who like to plot and scheme to make an attempt at taking over, as Cosmo had put, people have always tried. However they haven't always failed, or else we would have no new leaders or Godfathers.

In no way did I say he should be applauded for shit.  You are trying to twist my words to make it look like I am on Epics side and against everyone else and that's not the case.  And as far as my statement being vague ok, I'll simplify it for you.   FOR EXAMPLE, maybe you like to work the corners in NY only,, maybe I like to make my drug deals in Detroit and Chicago.  Maybe you only work hoes in LA,, maybe I like to work hoes in LA and LV.  There is that understandable to you???  We all have different ways of doing this job.

Right, so you are stating that epic ranked up and took a stand for what he believes in? for a better world? - Right, I never wanted to slate epic because I actually like him, but when people come out her to defend something they clearly have no idea about, it just really pisses me off.

epic ranked, he stood tall against what he believes in - NO!!! No he bloody didn't, he ranked to Consig and got busted plotting with an "Underground Crew", tell me, how the hell is that taking a stand? is that not more stupidity that he got caught before taking the stance of a no-good Rogue?

For many bloodlines, my family line has seen epic and his line around and never once (in my opinion) ever seen breaking rules, to me, he was just caught up in the wrong shit and messed up more by not giving his leader names, but now you come here and state that epic was in fact planning to make a stance, says a whole lot more about him than I thought, I was wrong, thank you for putting me right and destroying all doubts in our minds that epic was in fact innocent as far as roguing came, but completely guilty for being dishonest and disloyal to his family and city when it came to disclosing the names of his "friends" who were planning such actions.

History is written by the victors, and Rank up and do something about it is exactly that. There are two ways to go about it... rank up and forcably take over, or rank up and gradually take over.

If you try it by force, and fail, you will be ridiculed and labeled a traitor... which in effect you are. However succeed, and you'll be a hero, and those who disagree you'll just kill. The recent change in regieme with the death of Deimne was this kind of take over.

Deimne himself seemed to gradually come to power, bit by bit, through deaths and good fortune. Sure he killed his fair share of enemies, but he had already attained his position of power.

Which way is right and which way is wrong comes down to whether you succeed or not. Plain and simple truth.

Sir I am just going by what Cruel says.  I don't know what Epics intentions were, just what I have heard so please don't form a different opinion of him by my words..  Maybe I should have said, "From what Cruel says, MAYBE Epic was doing what he felt was right".  Please accept my apologies for stating that incorrectly.
