How would you judge one serial killer to be "better" than another? More [i]effective[/i] (as in; most people killed)? The person with the highest [i]proven[/i] amount is Harold Shipman (218). The person with the highest [i]presumed[/i] is Thug Behram (931) -- who is incidentally the source of the term "thug" as a violent criminal. Most [i]popular[/i]? Probably Jack the Ripper.

But, personally, it seems a bit of an oxymoron to consider a serial killer "better" in whatever way.

Actually yeah if I had to pick I'd have to say Jack The Ripper. I completely forgot about him until Korak's post.

I find the whole mystery around him to be interesting.

Jack the Ripper was the second coming of Jesus. It's why he only went for the prostitutes -- trying to find another Mary Magdalene. Unfortunately, as history shows, they failed to live up to his impossible expectations. Quite literally.
