An Encounter with Marla Singer Started by: MarieCosta on Jan 18, '18 01:25

Marie had decided to stop by a local cafe in the Southside of town to grab a bit of lunch and drink some coffee to warm up.  She would be so glad when spring arrived.  She smiled thinking about all the things Luca and her could go and enjoy if the weather was a bit nicer.  The next thing she knew, Marla Singer sat down at the table with her.  She had never met the woman before, but she had see a photograph.

"Hey there dollface..."  The greeting was instantly followed by the unmistakable sound of a bullet being chambered from under the table.  Her bodyguards, who had picked up on the danger, began to descend on them when Marla added, "Let's not make a scene.  I just wanna talk with the new crew leader in town on behalf of Tyler."

With a flick of her finger, Marie called her men off.  Hesitatingly, obviously not happy with the situation, they retreated back to their posts.

Marla got to the heart of their little conversation, "See... we're not too keen on Uncle No-Go-Joe getting the nod to become godfather around here.  We're thinking, maybe for the right price, you'd be interested in helping us shut that shit down.  So... what do you say to the idea of Southside belonging to ONLY you?  Tyler is ready to make that happen... but you need to come on board with our operation.

What do you say?  Interested?"

Marie chuckled, "Marla you should really do your research into a person before trying to bribe them.  After all you want to at least bribe them with something that they want.  Otherwise, what would be the point?"

Marla smiled,  "You know... you look familiar to me.  Have we... have we met before?  You seem like... Charlie.  She chuckled manically, "I warned her once about who she chose to back too.  How is she these days."

The jab hits its mark, but Marie fought not to show a visible reaction.  Instead she simply sipped her coffee.   She remembered something from Charlie's journal and she nonchalantly asked, "“You’re Tyler’s... second in command right? I wonder why he has never offered you a crew of you’re own. Perhaps he knows you don’t have what it takes to be on top.”

The violent reaction was sudden and exactly what Marie had hoped to get from the woman.  In a rage she stood up and over turned the table.  Marie calmly moved the cup that was in her hand away so that it would not get hit by the table.

"YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!"

Staff from the diner and her men quickly intercepted Marla and dragged her out as she screamed. DON'T THINK I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE, WORK, SLEEP AND WHO YOU'RE SLEEPING WITH!  THIS ISN'T OVER!  I WILL FIND YOU AND PUT YOU IN A HOLE RIGHT BESIDE THAT COUSIN OF YOURS!"

Marie sighed regretfully.  "If only we were sleeping together."

Drinking the rest of her coffee she handed the cup to the waiter.  Picking up her purse she pulled out several hundred dollar bills and gave it to the waiter, "For all the trouble..."

Standing up she walked out the door and got into her car.
