Who are you to tell anyone how to act? Some people will be taking this serious and wanting to win...so helping othesr will only be a disadvantage to themselves .
Even though i agree with you :) |

Bailey,
I agree with you. Those here on the streets and in the jails need to show a little common courtesy and respect. I mean, after all, isn't respect what this thing of ours is all about? If you are not willing to spread your wealth around and put up a few cd's then why should you reap ALL the rewards like those with 20 guards, and everything that you say makes logical sense. I don't see why people have to be so self-centered, I mean are we not Family? As far as I know it is not ME it is MY FAMILY. and while this is an individual competition, it only serves to show what sort of people work for which bosses.
It doesn't matter how long she has been here or 'who she is' or 'who gave her the right' because she is right. I didn't know that you had to be God, Godfather, CL or Don to express an opinion on the matters that affect you.
I also agree.... add my name to the list, |

Actually, Mikey, if you want to discuss it from an "in-character" point of view, we are not ALL family. We are several different families. If you want to act correctly with regards to being in-character, you should only bust out those in your immediate family. Why risk your neck for someone outside of your organization?
Anyhow, I'm totally going to let you all rot if I see you in jail. Unless I like you. That includes maybe five people. As for the rest of you, I hope you get a really nasty bee sting. Fuck right off. :O) |

Yeah I don't get it, I can see helping direct family members but why would I want to go bust out my competition? This is a competition, a free for all. Bust who you want, whoever you can and repeat. If you can bust those heavily guarded fools, do it! Don't leave them for your competition, that'd be insane. Leave the competition to sit and rot in the slammer while you go on to bust the rest out.
Of course now to contradict what I just said I am busting people who are participating out when they get thrown in since I'm just here for the free endless jailbreaks, not really the competition. |

Bailey, this is a competition that people are trying to win. Of course they will let online people rot. Why break out someone who could potentially beat you and win a netbook? |

There is the flaw in the argument about not helping anyone outside your family. It is in your best interest to help others outside your family, the reason being twofold, firstly, it shows your boss that you are a hard worker, but it also gives you something: leverage. You break a gangster from another family out enough, and you might just have something on him. Doing a favor gets you a favor, law of business. We may be from other families, but until open war is declared, it behooves us to treat all family members as if they might one day be our own. What with 'mergers and acquisitions' as they happen here, they might be, no use getting any bad blood when there doesn't need to be, and that one favor, breaking them out, may be something that you, and your family, can parley if that person ever gets to the heights, you never know when a small favor can reap a larger one. |

I suppose that might be true in some instances, but I think more often you would be helping to get stronger the person who will eventually try to kill you. |

Indeed, Mikey - if I at my almighty rank of Goomba can successfully bust out some random a few times when they get caught, then I certainly would appreciate the same courtesy extended to myself if I should get thrown in during the same jailbreaking spree. |

Not exactly what I'm talking about.
You never know when breaking someone out will cause them to MM you and extend their hand in friendship. I've had it happen that someone languishing on a long timer has MM me when I've busted them out and told me, if I ever need anything, money, drug info, word on the street, ask. I've gone on to become very good friends with some of those same people because I took the time to bust them out eventhough they were not in my family. Remember, sometimes something simple like getting someone out of jail is enough for them to talk to you. If you keep seeing the same name over and over, strike up a convo with them, it helps you, it helps them, it gets you the jb points, and it gets them the experience, and more often then not, if you broke them out, they will break you out if they can. It's been known to happen.
Common courtesy is what the thread is about. and IG or not, courtesy, 'respect' and honor is what this game is about, and common courtesy is the basic level of respect. The whole 'do unto others' thing.... yeah I know, a little out dated. |

I don't believe that the way I act as I stated above could be perceived as being discourteous, certainly. |
