| When the Leaders are silent, then who will talk? | Started by: Brand on Jan 22, '18 09:21 |
|
Brand walks from the bar where he was sitting. He was sitting on a stool, a bar stool, and the bar stool was propped against he bar, in the pub. Brand has a bag, and in the bag is money. Lots of money The money in the bag amounts to 250 quarter of a million dollars. That's right, a quarter of a million dollars. And that money is a tip, a tip from someone who likes what he says, when he was speaking on the Streets. Brand pulls out a platform and builds it so that he can speak to the crowd.
Hello, I am standing here as a rich man, because someone of an impressive rank paid me to talk here on these Streets. This means that I can continue to do this hard but seriously and important work. I think no many people try to do this but I am and I hope you support me. Sho_Nuff siad that a kind word from the leaders is as important as a tip in the form of money for speaking. I have a great deal of respect for Sho_Nuff but he is wrong. Well, a bit wrong.
The leaders need to give us money and encourage ment for speaking and then we can save the Streets. The leaders are busy, very busy, they have busy jobs and I have been told that they aren't as rich as people might think. So I have three questions. Who are the richest members of our society? Who should encourage the speaking on the Streets? |

Bearzy if you agree that the streets needs peoples speakings on them then you have to find new ways of getting the PEOPLE to speak in the Streets! I am proof that money helps people to speak. Now, you are speaking and yoiu wouldn't be if someone hadn't have given me money This wouldnt be happening if I hadn't been given money. So, you can say what you like but it doesn't alter that FACT. |

Bribing people to speak in the streets might bring people out to say things, I will admit. But if we're doing that, instead of rewarding people who have something important to say, then I think the quality of these streets will deteriorate even further than they have with fewer people speaking. The way things work now, for the most part, when someone goes to the streets, it isn't a money grab, or a paid endeavor. It's because the person speaking feels they have something the world needs to know, something that is worth hearing. And as for your receipt, Brand, you yourself said that you were paid to speak your original words. How can we know that reciept isn't evidence of the remainder of your fee? |

"Others do talk in the streets, it is a matter if they need or want to." Klejnot shook her head and stared at the man. "If you get paid, whats the point? some get paid they might come out and do some one liners or some bullshit drama. You kind sir, need to stop bragging. Its fine if you want to be paid to be in the streets and rant over 'Rich people or leaders need to pay us lower people.' But not all of us feel that way. The streets is a free space for us to come together and tell stories argue, recent events, and rant when others do wrong. Some of us have not felt the need nor want to be out here because we are busy with other writings or trying to set up some fun activities for in the streets." She took a breath before continuing. "Now why dont you go turn around, get off your high horse, and actually put creative thoughts and work for your own damn money and not bother people to pay you for the complaint we have seen here in the street twice already. Good day." |

Requiem asks the bartender for another drink and looks at his watch one last time before putting it back into his coat pocket. As the bartender turns to pour his drink, Requiem notices an eccentric man staring at a bar stool and the man had obviously been standing there a while, with drool streaming from his mouth. Requiem shakes his head in disgust. As the bar tender turns to Requiem to hand him his shot of whiskey, the man starts up, "Soon I will have all of their money. HA HA! They will all be broke. HA HA! I will rule the world. HA HA! The leaders will bow to me. HA HA!" Requiem shakes his head again and quickly knocks back his drink before leaving a tip for the bartender and walking out the door. |

I have a few things to say on this matter. First being that not all leaders are silent. Shaggs has brought some discussion to the streets, as have other leaders brought some life. I do my best to take part in discussions when I can. It is always nice to see leaders in our streets, talking and sharing stories, but recognize that they have families to run and a bunch of obligations as well. So sometimes they can't be here 24/7. Second is, this is starting to feel like begging for money. If you need a loan, my door is always open. I do my best to try to help my family out. Third, if you truly want people to tip I believe this falls under anyone. Everyone has the same ability to tip, the same ability to make money and the same ability to take time and notice people speaking. I do not believe that leaders must tip. I do not believe anyone has to tip. However, when they do its nice. Street speaking should not rely on bribes. As its been said many times you will get people with much less quality but a lot of quantity that maybe should not be tipped. If you truly give a damn about the streets you would be out here regardless if you are tipped or not. Encouragement should come from everywhere. People who enjoy sharing stories often encourage others that enjoy stories. I would never discourage anyone from these streets personally. If you want to be here, be here. Make it worth something though. Just don't come out here because you feel you have to. Come out here with spark, thoughts, stories, opinions. Come out here because you have something to share. |

Brand I am sorry but I think you misconstrued what I said.
What I said was receiving a tip from a Godfather or Crew leader for something you spoke about in the streets would be an honor. It means you said something that caught their attention or respected. Out of respect for their position, I would never come to the streets and suggest they need to do something. To answer your questions
The man that can afford to post over 200 million in bounties.
We are all encouraged to speak up in the streets, but it’s not mandatory it’s your right. Whether or not you choose to participate is up to you.

My great grandpappy used to sit me down on his knee (though not for long as I was always a little porker of a kid), and regale tales of how back in the days when he actually had hair of his own, that leaders were always criticized for being too quiet.

Brand, I'm not sure how long ago you have landed on this part of earth. Since you asked, I will answer. Communication from leaders roughly in the last 7 years has continued to plummet down the shitter all in the name of revenge and fuck all else while they play Russian roulette with their workers. In my years I had two leaders who kept their family abreast of all current affairs.

I have a few things to say on this matter. Not all leaders are entirely silent. Just the majority. No leader lacks having a discussion here and there. The usual voice barks when they need a WS, a contest or a pat on the back how well all is doing. BLAH BLAH BLAH Coffee house chats among the same leaders which involve a near future take down of an innocent family for no damn reason for two reasons. Both revenge and target practice. Revenge because they cannot comprehend once dead all is forgiven. (A concept that is vital yet ignored) Target practice are willing participants to go set up and know they are going 6ft under to assist the builders. A sloppy way of playing Russian Roulette. It is not a win win situation. It is a very poor way of doing business and coffee shop hosts are the bigger losers. |
