Laundry Day Started by: Shaggs on Jan 23, '18 04:41

The last shelf was just about to be hung and then the organizing would have to start again. Shaggs sat in The Victorian Public House in Las Vegas and sipped on his usual whiskey. It was bourbon today, the scotch had hit him a bit hard over the weekend and he needed something a bit more mellow while he helped his staff get things back together. They'd had a huge battle with Tyler Durdens crew where thankfully many members of his crew and the rest of Vegas had come to his aid. He wasn't sure he'd still be alive without his friends, but then again he always chose them wisely.

What he was more excited about was the reopening of his bar. The Victorian had been trashed by bodies and bullets flying during the massive fight and had taken quite the cleanup effort to get it back up and going. This was good because he desperately needed his "Source of Income" back up and running as soon as possible. His family had been bringing in a ton of cash lately and he was starting to attract some attention from the feds. If it was one thing he'd learned early on in his career in this world it was that you don't fuck with the IRS. Stronger and more influential people than him had gone down because they didn't hide their cash well enough. He was always trying to make sure that his businesses did well enough to make sure the feds never bothered him. So far it had gone well but he was looking for new ideas. He wanted to hear from some other people who were going through the same thing.

How do you "Launder" your money?

Do you do anything special to keep the feds off of your back?

Shaggs brought his bottle of bourbon over to his large table in the middle and waited for more of his friends and people he hadn't met to join in the discussion.

Shaggs, this is not an interesting topic.

Tony made his way into the Victorian Public House where he had heard Shaggs was trying to start up a conversation. The rain had been a bit heavy outside and droplets fell from Tony's suit as he walked in. As he took off his hat and coat he pulled a few hundred dollars from his pocket and threw it on the bar before swinging over and grabbing a bottle of whiskey. Then as the liquor flowed into the glass he listened to Shaggs and thought about his question.

"Well Shaggs, I myself tend to run my money through a few different places. Otherwise I don't think I could get away with it successfully." Tony downed his drink and again let the liquor flow until he was content.

Tony slowly made his way over to Shaggs in order to not be speaking as loudly. Being careful not to spill a single drop of his whiskey. "I tend to launder my money through my Deli in Las Vegas, my new Lounge in Seattle, a few gambling joints from here to Chicago, and of course the pickle business."

Tony could see that clearly the gambling joints had caught Shaggs off guard. "Casinos! Those are some great..."

Shaggs cut him off by shaking his head and placing it in his palm, "OH! You're confused by the pickle business aren't you? Well you can pickle many different things and lots of places are in the market for it. So I make some actual sales using these businesses and then I also fudge some of the sales and it's actually just my own money flowing into the business from those. You should really look into it. Pickling is the future."

Tony slid his chair back to give Shaggs a bit more room and continued to drink his whiskey as he awaited to see if others laundered their money in any similar businesses.
