Whats the deal with all these News papers coming out?

I on the other hand was not impressed by this paper. Your investigative journalism skills are lacking. I too was curious about the circumstances regarding the death of TheRabi, and was excited to see that your top story was about him. I learned nothing. I understand This Thing of Ours is shrouded in secrecy, and that the circumstances regarding his death are on a strictly need-to-know basis. Being that your research into the death of TheRabi was inconclusive, why make it your lead story? All it contained was quotes from other Mafioso who either were not willing to comment on it or also did not know the circumstances, and apparently even those quotes were inaccurate according to RoRoG. The most complimentary thing I can say about the rest of the paper is that it was wasn't completely boring, only kind-of boring.

I applaud your effort Mr. Hun, but if you ever intend to produce a newspaper that grosses millions of dollars in revenue like Mr. Sweeney's Mob News does, I would suggest focusing more on content and substance in your next edition. Best of luck to you my Friend.

Rockness with all due respect the paper you sponsor barely scraps the minimum amount of content for it's issues, this is his first issue, so if you wouldn't mind maybe critisize the paper you sponsor and see that the articles there are just as small. Difference is this is a first issue, Sweeney is chalking up Issue no. 2.

I have no criticisms of Sweeney's paper, Prophet. Otherwise I would have voiced them to him in private. It would be couter-productive from a business stand-point for me to publically criticize Sweeney's paper as I do have a vested financial interest in its success. But regardless, it is a masterpiece in my eyes and in the eyes of the other people who fund it, so there were no criticisms, public or private.

If there was one consistant theme in Max-Hun's paper, I believe it was that he encouraged people to openly express their opinions, much like he did regarding one of his competitor's papers. To Max's credit, he contacted me in private defending his work to which I responded defending my criticism. It was a civil discussion and Max was nothing short of a gentleman. Despite the blunt honesty of my critique, he received it as the constructive criticism it was intended to be. I've never been one to sugar-coat things, and I believe Max appreciated it my honestly, which is important in his line of work as a journalist. I tip my hat to him for that.

Ahem.... I mean "and I believe Max appreciated my honesty", (not 'and I believe Max appreciated it my honestly')

Rockness I see you challenge him about his misquoting, I'm sure this happens in a lot of papers, people say 1 thing and next thing you know something entirely different is being printed. Bottom line is, these papers are here as a source of entertainment and information, if they deliver that then I have no problem, a few people seemed to feel that this paper delivered just that, if you didn't then that's unfortunate. It's also unfortunate that max cared enough to address your displeasure in his paper, although I too applaud him for taking it on the chin as constructive criticism and perhaps it will mean the next issue is even better.

Fair enough Crugeon. And indeed misquotes are common in newspapers, even though they shouldn't be. It was actually RoRoG who challenged him on his misquotes. I would have no way of knowing if the mobsters he quoted were quoted accurately or not, and based my statement regarding his quotes on what RoRoG said.

I did point out to Max in our conversation, and Max can verify this, that the majority of the people who commented on his paper seemed to have enjoyed it which is to his credit. Still I stand behind my opinion and while you may think it was unfortunate that Max cared enough about my opinion to respond, I think it was promising that he would take in both the positive and negative feedback of his readers. A negative response should have come to no suprise to him, as I believe Mr. Gene Hunt even forewarned him that not all feedback would be positive. Freedom of the press and free enterprise allows him the liberty to disregard everything I said, or contrarily take it into consideration and perhaps gain an additional reader. It's like that old saying goes. 'Opinions are like assholes: Everybody has one and mine is always right.' Or is it 'they all stink?' It's something along those lines. I'm admittedly not very good with cliches.

Yes, i can quote that you did say that, moreover I realise there will always be people that do no like my work.
