Fight Night Party: The Eagle vs. The Patriot Started by: Frankie-Messina on Feb 04, '18 16:33

The Golden Nugget Casino was hosting the largest prize fight of the year - Nick "The Eagle" Foles vs. Tom "The Patriot" Brady.  Frankie dropped a mint to reserve the VIP room and sent invitations to mobsters all over the United States.  Not just the who's who of names, but friends of all ranks and respect.

This was going to be a fight to remember and Frankie sincerely hoped that people would take a moment to pop into her party and catch some of the action from the best seats in the house!

The food on hand was all the best snack and finger foods.  If you liked it, then it was surely on the table and a large donation to the casino's owners got them to look the other way while her boys brought in beverages of all sorts - including those the FBN would crash the party over.

Speaking of the FBN... well, considering their top brass got ring side seats, she figured the chances of having them show up to rain on her parade were absolutely nill.

Frankie's gold dress hugged all her curves and was reason enough for Tony-DiCaprio 's eyes to bug out of his head.  Which was exactly the reaction she was hoping for (even if it did take her longer than usual to dress because of his attentions.)

Once she was certain the room was absolutely perfect she unlocked the door and waited to see who would accept her invitation!

Freelancer was quick to find his seat, he had smuggled in some bourbon in his flask. Taking a sip before anyone notices.

"Should make for a interesting bout."

Tony was eating a nice sandwich in his Delicatessen over in Summerlin when one of his bodyguards came rushing in out of breath...

"Well what is it man? Something bad happen?" Tony felt a bit confused at the sight of the man's exhaustion.

The man got out a few more breaths and finally looked up at Tony, "Hey boss, Frankie Messina told me to get you this invite to watch the fight between The Eagle and The Patriot. I didn't want to waste any time so I ran down a few blocks to get it to you."

Tony shook his head in frustration at the man and pointed over at the phone without saying a word. The young man put his face into his palm and walked out of the shop. Sitting back in his chair smiling, Tony was happy to get an invitation from his friend Frankie to go to the event. He wouldn't miss it for the world. So he got his stuff together and headed on his way to get ready for the prize fight.

A few hours later...

The car pulled up outside the arena and one of Tony's men opened the door for him to exit the vehicle. There were flashing lights everywhere as people took pictures of all the famous and rich folks who were showing up for such an event. When one reporter took a photo of Tony he quickly motioned and one of his men tore the film out and ripped it to shreds. Seeing this many of the other reporters decided to look for pictures elsewhere...

Once inside the building Tony found his way up to the VIP room Frankie had invited him to. He had saved his appetite for the finger foods he was expecting to find all around the room. Once inside he saw the food and asked one of his men to get a plate together for him before they go back outside the room.

He mingled with a few of the people who had already arrived and finally found his way over to Frankie Messina.

"I just wanted to say thanks for the invite Frankie. I hope we see a good fight today between these two. Although my money is on The Patriot in this one, my hope is to see The Eagle win. So you can see how much I'm conflicted with this fight, but I'll be happy with either outcome this way. I'll be over there by the front corner enjoying some food and something to drink if you want to have a chat." Tony tipped his hat and went over to find the man getting him his food.

Freelancer looks over at Frankie. "I'm not sure who to pick, but it should be fun to watch."

He smiled. "Do you got a favorite hun?"

When Marie received her invitation to attend Frankie's event, she knew she had to go.  Not because she care to watch men fighting, but because it was sure to be a good opportunity to network.  Half of her job anymore seemed to be rubbing elbows with other mobsters.  It came with the territory if she wanted to protect her crew and her investments.

Taking a morning flight out of Chicago she rented a room at the Golden Nugget and hired a personal stylist to come in and do her makeup and hair.  She wanted to look perfect tonight.  Networking was always easier when you could turn a head or two.  When she was satisfied with the result she dressed and made her way down to the VIP room.

When she entered she looked around to see who all was here and to locate Frankie.  Her friend would no doubt be busy being a hostess, but she would say hello to her none the less.

Never one to miss a party, Rick pulled out all the stops with making sure he looked his best.

Rick entered and wasted no time in thanking Frankie for her hospitality and the invite. As Rick was talking to Frankie he could not help noticing Marie across the room, and he was left stunned.

Not one to be flustered he played it cool gave a cheeky wink her way and made his way to the bar

Marie finally saw Frankie and to her surprise standing next to her was Don Rick.  He was an interesting fella who intrigued her.  Not that she would ever be unfaithful to her husband, but there was a playfulness about him she found very refreshing.  She thought they would eventually become good friends, and perhaps even allies in time.  At least she hoped they would.

She smiled at the wink Rick gave her and as he made his way to the bar, she went to say hello to Frankie.

"Frankie, darling!"  She kissed the woman on both cheeks.  "You have out done yourself tonight.  The place looks great."

After the two shared a few words, Marie excused herself and made her way to the bar to order herself a gin.

"Why thank you Don Rick."  She swiveled her stool to turn to him slightly.  "It is nice to see you here.  Do you often frequent these sort of events?"  She sipped the drink he had slid to her.

Rick looks at Marie,

"Unfortunatly i normally never attend such events, but then i heard you was going to be in attendance, so i thought why not make an apperance."

Rick takes off his suit jacket.

"Also this is the first suit i have ever owned it makes a change from the ripped jeans i usually go about in."

"Well you clean up nicely."  Marie smirked coyly at him over the edge of her drink as she took another sip.  Turning a bit more she took in the ring.  "Personally, I do know understand what it is about men wanting to knock each other brains in for sport."  She shook her head in bewilderment.  "Is it something that you understand?  I mean maybe it something you guys get that we women just do not understand."  She chuckled and looked back at him.

"I love cheering for the underdog so I think I'm backing The Eagle on this one."  She smiled.  "But truth be The Eagle is going to have a hard fight against The Patriot, or so I think."

Frankie waved to Marie, Anthony and Rick as they entered.  "Well it looks like I might actually have a few people show up after all. Hopefully the fight is an exciting one and everyone has a great time!"

"Oh I missed Tony coming in."  She said to Freelancer.  "Excuse me a moment."  She made her way across the room and offered her hand to Tony.  "I'm so glad you came but I'm really sorry you're feeling so conflicted about the fight tonight.  I suspect a lot of money will change hands over this one."

She stepped a little closer to him and whispered, "I had a run in the other day with a crew I didn't recognize.  Well armed.  Violent.  Dangerous men.  They weren't amateurs.  I'm worried another family has moved into Vegas.  You might have your people keep their eyes open for any new faces."

"It's been a pretty amazing fight so far."  She said in response to Jimmy the Gent.  "Certainly have seen worse.  The mid-fight entertainment wasn't half bad either."
