"What do you mean, 'cap him'..?" She scowls at F, obviously angered by the mere mention of such a thing. Annie had attitude and a vicious temper at times but she was nothing if not compassionate. How could anyone justify murder?! There was not a thing in the world that could convince Annie otherwise! - Or so she believed. "Nuh-uh! You want this guy dead, fine... I understand your way of doing things, F.. But if you want it done, you do it yourself!" She releases the semi-conscious man from her grip, leaving him to thud against the floor and stepping over him. Folding her arms, she turns and watches on as F pulls the trigger spreading the young hustler's brains all across the concrete. The sight of blood was becoming increasingly common for Annie. It had been 6 weeks since her accident and regaining her short-term memory was the real beginning of her lawless career. She wasn't sure how long she'd known F but she knew the last six weeks with him were irreplaceable. He'd been something of a rock for the young lady once she'd learned to live with his sharp tongue and quick temper. With their friendship came comfort and Annie had no issue telling F how things were. While wildly different, he was the perfect mentor for her but he always struggled teaching her one aspect: murder. Annie was a self-confessed sinner having been involved in all manner of violent and heinous crimes but she also point-blank refused to take a life. She couldn't agree with the inhumanity of it and so any of the real messy work was left for F to deal with. However, that didn't stop him trying to coerce and convince her. F knew what power there was in murder. He didn't care for anything except the end result. In his line of work, it was what mattered most - the end result. The in-between is just a means. His tunnel vision forced him to attempt passing on his ability to surpass human emotions at every given opportunity to Annie and she certainly didn't appreciate it. "F.. You gotta stop badgering me about this. You gotta respect my choice." She pleaded. F rolls the body on its side, rustling his way through the young gangsters pockets for any belongings or loot - but mainly loot. As he pulls out a card, he turns it over revealing nothing more than a name, 'Tom Dry'. Taking a sudden peer over his shoulder, he quickly rushes the small card into his inside jacket pocket. Clearly recognising it, he rustles through the pockets for any other possessions but finds nothing. Upon Annie's return, they bundle the body up, chucking it into the trunk and heading for their usual drop-off: the pier. As the car reaches a halt, Annie sighs and swipes her hair out of her face, "F... You do understand, don't you? ... I'll always help you. If you need me, I'm always there. I owe you for everything you've done for me but you need to understand... I can't kill." He looks at the young face and forces a smile. His brain couldn't stop thinking about the card he'd found but for the sake of his young associate, he nods, smiles and responds, "C'mon.... Let's get rid of this body and get home." |
