After they left the coffee shop the Luca and Marie headed to the boat. While they were on the boat that would take them to Sicily they sat in a quiet section and went over the plan. 

Luca had tried to explain that there was no way to get her in or to get her armed for the meeting. But that argument was one-sided and over quickly with Marie not hearing any of it. 

“So they won’t let me in the meeting. So what? That doesn’t mean that I can’t wait outside just in case trouble breaks out. I could have our guns and maybe I would be able to draw one of the guards out of the room so we can each deal with one when the time comes.” she says Decisively. 

So that was the plan. She would wait outside the meeting and would hold Luca's gun for him while he went into the meeting. She knew the signal would be the gunshots and there was no way he was going to convince her to sit this one out. They where a team and she would not let him go in alone. 

They made it to the small restaurant where the meeting was to be held. There was a few tables outside where Marie could sit and have a cup of coffee and wait while Luca went inside. They walked up to the guards that sat outside, Luca turned and kissed Marie and handed her his .45 and gave her a loving look which also said to stay safe. 

Luca walked up to the guards who quickly patted him down for any other weapons. Once they were satisfied he was escorted inside to the small restaurant. Inside was simple, basic wooden tables and chairs lined the floor, there was waiter filling a wine glass for Giovanni as Luca approached. 

 "Ciao Giovanni è un piacere conoscerti finalmente. Don Inzerillos non sarà qui? " he says already knowing the answer. 

It was arranged that the Don would not be there for this, It was his son and all though this needed to be done he did not want to watch, that is why Luca had to deal with the guards. Luca sat at the table and had the waiter pour him a glass of wine as well. 

The two men sat chatting for a while on business and the connection of their families. Luca waited, talked and ate while he waited for Giovanni to relax and get comfortable, the man really seemed anxious which made Luca wonder if he had any idea of what was coming or if that was just the way a rat was.

Luca knew that Marie would be getting anxious, she wouldn't show and would not move until she heard the shots come from inside the building. 

"Per favore, scusami, devo usare il bagno." he said as he stood

Giovanni nodded and Luca walked into the restroom. The gun was placed in the tank of the toilet. When Luca removed it he was happy to see it was 1911 like the one he carried. He quickly checked it out made sure it was loaded and ready to go. 

Luca flushes the toilet and runs the water in the sink before exiting the bathroom. As he enters the dining area he is surprised to see the bodyguards had walked into the restaurant. They where standing facing Luca, this was not good but he knew what he had to do.

Luca pulls the gun and fires taking out one of the guards and then takes two more shots killing the other before he could draw his weapon. Luca knew he had to find and target Giovanni before the man could realize what was happening and take a shot at him

Luca dropped the gun and they headed out. They didn't run they walked out got into a car and drove off to head to the airport and head back to Chicago. The honeymoon was over and it was time to get back to work. He looked over at his lovely wife and smiled, they were a great team and he loved her dearly. The way everything went down he was grateful that she was there and was looking to have her at his side in the SouthSide.
