| Moving Day! | Started by: Dovahkiin on Feb 06, '18 04:12 |

Dovahkiin sat at her desk, meticulously signing a stack of documents. Movers shuffled around her, carrying out crates of boxes and other non-essential furniture. She was moving into a new home, something a little bit less ostentatious. An apartment building had been purchased, as well as the businesses on the bottom floor. The units had been renovated to encompass the whole building, and right under the noses of the police, their work would continue to operate. They’d grown too big, too loud, and it was time to revert back to the shadows where she belonged.
Indifference, however, didn’t give a fuck. He was perfectly suited to move right into the Nightingale Mansion and make it his own. It was at that moment that she finally lifted her head from the documents to look at her Left Hand Man as he sat across from her. She’d had him waiting for quite a while now, but he’d just sat there patiently. Patience was good.
“As you can see, very shortly I will be moving. We’re drawing too much attention to ourselves here, and very soon I will be godfather. As much as I love this mansion, it’s just a little too loud for my tastes. However most of the Nightingales will still call this place home, all you need to do is sign…” She said, holding out a pen and the final document. All that was left was for him to sign the transfer of deed document, and he would be the new owner of Nightingale Hall.
“Of course, I expect you’ll rename the place, make it your own. You’ll do well here” she said, leaning back in her chair and folding her hands together on the desk.
“Indulge me, if you will… What will you call your family?” She asked, tilting her head to the side as she watched him, a smile curling across her face. She was pleased that she didn’t have to drive out to the desert for this meeting as she had done with Yacht. She much preferred these things in the safety of their home, though she supposed it would be his home soon enough. |

Indifference flicked his cigarette and stared off. He was thinking about what he might have for supper that evening. Dovahkiin flicked him on the forehead and brought him back.
"Hello????" She loved having him around and she'd sure miss him. But - sometimes... He just seemed so... care free. He really didn't seem to be phased or give a shit.
"Uh - thank you for that. It was a lot gentler than Meadmaiden usually whacks me. You know, I don't care for much that goes on. However, I got a few things that I hold near and dear to my heart here. Work hard. Be fearless. And most importantly - be care free!! Just don't give a shit. You know, the Honey Badger is one of my favorite animals on Earth. I would like the Mafioso world to help me in welcoming in..."
"Cuz we just don't give a fuck...."
Indifference looked proudly along the family and nodded at each and every one of them. It wasn't long ago that many of these established gangsters were just losing their little mafioso virginities in his grandfather's crew. Nothing is possible without the efforts of each and every one of them.
"Thank you so much for this opportunity, Godfather Dovahkiin. I promise to continue to build The Strip in your vision. Along with Yacht , we shall continue to grow and make you proud!!" |
