>>There's countless leaders that are trying to get bodyguarded up but however the member count isn't there for it in some ways.
That's because buying bodyguards was, and still is, for the most part, about hard work. Your members go day in and day out to protect you - There's a reason why your suggestion hasn't been implemented before: It'd severely but a large chunk of players at a disadvantage, which brings me to my next point:
>>If you don't like not having money to put towards the game because someone else does you should be getting a job.
Considering a VERY large chunk of the game is in their early 20s and most likely in a college, do you seriously think people would be spending the kind of cash that others do that are more solidified in their career? You simply can't compete.
>>It would simply protect the value of the RL dollar
Here's a quick lesson in economics: Inflation happens. Deflation happens. Hell, stagflation happens. However simple this economy works considering you can only spend it on only a handful of items - the value of the dollar will always be subject to the current economic climate of the game, and vice versa.
>>I personally do not have the "wallet" out of game but I would like to be able to do this because then instead of spending so much money on the game and getting a lot less it would protect the donation system a bit better.
And herein, you've pretty much made my argument. You spend $100 and buy, let's say for figures, 40 bodyguards. JohnnyComeEarly and JohnnyComeLately spends $600 and receives 280 bodyguards with a bonus figured in. 2 months down the road, who do you think will have a better chance of emerging as a leader? Hell, 2 months after that - after a powergrabbing wars - do you really think anyone would be able to compete with them.. at all?
Not really.
As someone who's been coming to this game for over 3 years day in and day out, I'd like to think I know what I'm talking about. The games current balance would be downright rocked to its core - where, much like the real world, 1% of the population control... what, 95% of the wealth? |
