| Anthony walks down the sidewalk as the rain pours down in the Windy City as he makes his way up the block from his house he Stops at Joes bar as he sends the door open as he walks inside the bar unbuttoning his coat as he stands in the door way as he looks around the busy bar as the jukebox plays Anthony makes his way to the counter as he places his coat onto the stool as he orders a whiskey a man would yell out Anthony as he walks up patting my back Anthony would look up seeing Artie and smiles my god it’s good to see you Anthony would order other whiskey for Artie as he starts talking you could tell Artie was drunk from his glazed eyes I dint know you got out has it been seven years? Artie laughs I got out early for good behavior and I pulled some strings it’s good to see you Anthony Artie would try to keep his self straight as he talks artie would start talking about how they was childhood friends till he got busted for arm robbery Anthony would pick up the glass of whiskey as he takes a drink as he looks at Artie so where are you staying at? Artie would look at Anthony I stay at the homeless shelter on 42 Street shakes his head it’s been rough for me I was in the big house with utterback and when we got released he said he would have work for me but haven’t heard anything yet Artie would start to lean towards the bar as his eyes start to close Anthony laughs as he holds Artie up and reaching into his coat pulling out a 20 leavening it onto the bar counter time to head to my place Artie I can’t have you staying at a homeless shelter Anthony leans Artie on the counter as I slide my coat on buttoning up the coat as I wrap my arm around Artie shoulder as I stumble to the door way from Artie leaning back and forth we make our way outside as the rain pours harder I laugh and say reminds me of old times as I try to keep artie from falling we make our way up the block as by standers walks down the sidewalk we make our way up the block Anthony turns to the stairs as Artie puts his hand on the rail and slowly stumbles up the stairs as Anthony unlocks the door and turning the front room light on as Artie gets into the house he sees the couch as he stumbles and falls onto the couch Anthony laughs as he closes the door and locks the door goodnight Artie see you in the morning Anthony unbuttons his coat and hangs it onto the rack as he walks up stairs to his bed room as he lays onto the bed placeing his hands behind his head as he doze off | |
