As afternoon rolled on, Marie was still out of sorts from the night before.  She had greatly disappointed Luca and the consequences of her foolish action had placed a strain on their relationship.  It was something that they could work through, but it would require some attention be given to repairing the damage that had been done.  Marie had an idea that she hoped might do the trick and so she sat down and wrote a letter to her husband.

My darling love, I very much would like to apologize for last night.  My foolish actions placed you in a very painful position.  It is my hope that dinner and a night on the town together will allow me to demonstrate through action and words my sincere regret and will allow us an opportunity to repair the damage for which I brought to our relationship.

Now several hours later, the two of them were sitting down for a romantic candle-lit dinner for two at an upscale bristro in the Loop.  Marie had secured a private dining room that would allow them to have complete privacy.  She worn a simple sleeveless black dress with long white gloves that ran up past her elbows.  She had also chosen to wear some of the jewelry that Uncle Joe had given her. 

Luca sat there and ordered a Scotch and look at the menu. He wasn't really hungry he really wanted to move past this crap with his wife and was glad to be able to spend a night out with her. Hopefully no business just a husband and wife having a very nice night out.

"You look, beautiful sweetheart," he told her with a smile.

"I am glad we can do this. I want you to know last night was business and it pained me to do it."

"I won't treat you any different than anyone else, I just hope that we can keep that separate from our home life?" he states

Marie reached across the table to take his hand in hers.  "I am sorry, truly sorry that I put you into a position where you had to do it.  I am the one responsible for this.  You were completely fair and treated me as any Godfather would have treated his captain in that situation so please do not feel guilty of causing me harm for you are blameless.  As for keeping our professional relationship and our personal relationship separate I can and I think you can as well." 

Marie got up and move to sit on his lap.  She smiled at him lovingly and cupped his face.  "I am certain there will be times when professionally we will not see eye-to-eye in a situation and I probably won't like you very much in that moment, but never ever forget that I will always love you."  She tilted her head and kissed him with so much love as her hand slid behind to cup the back of his head.

Luca slid his chair back some when she walked over to him giving her room to sit on his lap. He looked at her lovingly and kissed her deeply.

"We will have our disagreements in business but you showed me last night that you know when I am talking as a GF and not your husband. And if we can remember that we will be fine. I will always love you even when I am telling you something you don't like." he tells her before kissing her again.

"Now I love having you sit there but I don't think we will be able to eat like this.." he says with a smile.

She laughed and kissed him one more time before getting up and going back to her chair.  "Are you all getting settled in to your new headquarters?"  She slightly smirks a bit as she reads the menu.

Luca smiled and laughed. He had moved into the new HQ and got everything set up quickly.

"Yeah starting to feel like home. but it still has the new HQ smell." he said with a chuckle.

"I am getting used to thing in the Southside. But enough talk about work. Hows things going with Frankie?" he asks her

Luca reaches into his Jacket pocket and pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to Marie

"on there is a location of those pricks and the fence who is holding the diamonds. I made him an offer he could refuse." he says winking at her.

"I will be sure to pass this information on to Frankie."  She put the information in her purse and ordered her a gin to go with her salad.  The waiter then took Luca's order and left.

"To be honest I did not get to spend very much time with her.  I had gone down there with the hope of talking her into going to Seattle and setting up shop.  It would be nice to have some allies there along with Alex.  Unfortunately she is choosing to stay in Las Vegas so that Tony and she can be together."

"yes allies would have been nice... but I can see why she would want to stay with her husband," he said looking at his wife.

"being away from you would be a hard choice to have to make," he said smiling at her.

Luca took a drink of his scotch and looked at his beautiful wife.

"When you said I do you made me the luckiest man alive," he said grabbing her hand.

Luca sat staring at his wife lovingly getting lost in her eyes. The one good thing about the move was now he was even closer to her. He sat there just in awe of her.
