Syndicate sat down in his office and looked up at the wall in front of him, his file organizer was empty except for one single red folder with the words Security Operation. He stood up and pulled the folder down from the top slot, he opened the cover and began leafing through his newest business venture. Owning a banking industry meant hiring lots of security staff, only problem was that no security company out there put enough training and preparedness into their employees so Syndicate was having his Right Hand woman Adorkable doing all of the extra training and preparedness. This left Goliath National Bank with doing all the work and paying a firm to basically hand them unqualified bodies to stand at a desk. 

This was an industry that Syndicate was ready to expand into, he had his folder ready to go. A location for operation was already leased from the bank, yes his bank. His Right Hand's training tactics and manuals were all laid out and his contract for his current security firm was about to lapse meaning that a new security venture would need to be hired right out of the gates. This company was going to hit the ground running with enough contracts through Goliath National Bank that they could operate without any other contracts, however being a business man, Syndicate already had a person in his mind to run the operation that would be sure to get plenty of contracts and bring in plenty of cash. 

Syndicate pressed the button on his desk that made a loud buzz sound outside the office, his Right Hand and Chief of Security blew through the door and surveyed the office. "Adorkable, please have a seat" Adorkable quickly made her way to the seat in front of his desk and returned to him a puzzled look as she saw the majority of her careers accomplishments laying on the table. She waited for him to speak as she scanned over her training manuals, security sweep drills, weapons manuals, schedules, routes, even her security reports. A single drop of sweat began to form as she sunk back in her chair. "There is nothing wrong, in fact you are the single most impressive security lead this bank has ever had the pleasure working with. I've got a new business venture, there is almost no risk and the only thing that will changes is the fact that you will no longer be positioned in the office outside mine. I have something bigger for you, a security division of Goliath National. You will do exactly what you do for me; train, coach and develop your teams for security, except you'll be the boss, you'll get the contracts and set up the security details. I still expect you to continue to provide excellent security for the bank but it will be your own operation otherwise."

Adorkable shifted in her seat trying to wrap her head around running her own operation. She watched the paperwork that Syndicate slid in front of her with the map of her new location and a key taped to it. Her eyes became very wide and she leaned forward to ask a single question, "What will it be named?". Syndicate pulled the Federal forms to open a new company from the folder and slid it across the table. All the information was filled out except for the top line, Company Name

"The name isn't up to me, it is up to you. What will you name the company?" Syndicate asked her. 

Adorkable leaned over with a smirk on her face as she picked up the form and read through it and set it back down. She pretended to think long and hard, just to taunt Syndicate a little bit as she always does.

She watched as his face twitched slightly then with a slight giggle she picked up the pen and wrote a few words on the top line and made it so that Syndicate couldn't see it while she was writing. Adorkable then flipped the page over, looked over at Syndicate's slightly impatient face and slid it back with a giant grin on her face.

Still smiling she said, "Thank you so much, you know I have been dreaming of starting my own security company my whole life. I've always known the premise of what I wanted it to be known as, but you made it easy to choose the name."

She gestured for her boss to look at the name, as opened it he sees simply 'Goliath Security Elite' written in the only blank space that was left on the paper.

With a nod, he placed the form back in the folder and closed it. He handed Adorkable the map and key without a word and walked off to file the paperwork for the newest company in town. Adorkable knew that he would miss her around this place but little did he know, she planned on being around often to make sure that he was safe and sound. 

Syndicate got to the door and turned around, "There is one other thing." She turned to look at him as he opened the door to the waiting area, as the door swung open to its widest it revealed a party in the waiting room stretching out into the lobby. "It was Friday, it was a big announcement, so I threw a party! I'm glad you said yes, Congratulations!" Syndicate said as one of the newer GNB employees took his briefcase. "Take that to get filed before they close, then get back here" The member nodded and gave a wave to Adorkable giving a Congrats as he began to jog out. 

Adorkable stood to join the party, as she got to the doorway another employee greeted Syndicate and her with two glasses of champagne, it was at this moment that Adorkable saw all the people that came out to wish her congratulations. Syndicate raised his champagne glass high in the air, "A toast to you Adorkable, it is always easier to follow instructions but today you follow your dreams, and that is what really pays off, Congratulations!" The sound of clanging champagne glasses echoed through the office. Syndicate stepped out of the way to let others come forward.

Marie raises her glass for the toast and when it was done she lightly touched her glass against Sal's smiling as it clanged.  After taking a sip of the very fine champagne, she sat it down on the table and stood up.  Hesitantly she picked up the envelope.  She was not use to having that much money on her and she held onto it tightly for fear she might lose it.   With her husband she approached the new Crew Leader, of LA.

"Congratulations."  She quickly offered the envelope to Adorkable.  "I speak blessings upon the work of your hands and those that you lead.  May you forever find favor in the eyes of man.  I am Marie Lucania, and my husband and I just moved here."

Sal watches as his wife hands the new boss the envelope they brought. Then Sal steps up

"Congratulations. That is just a little something from us to help you out." he says pointing to the envolope. 

After raising a glass in celebration for Adorkable and her newly found promotion I made my way over towards Syndicate. It was great to be there being an invested banker in Goliath Nation Bank. It wasn't every day I got to be on the top floor of the banks tower celebrating with some of their hardest workers.

I shook hands with Syndicate and saluted him with my champagne glass. After taking a drink I flashed my flask to him asking if he was interested in some harder stuff. It was a night they were both proud to see, the expansion of Goliath International was good for the city of Los Angeles as a whole.

Noticing Adorkable was free for a moment after watching so many go up to her one by one and celebrate with a drink. She must have had her glass filled three or four times in the process. I laughed to myself, this was her night she deserved to enjoy it! As I got close I bumped elbows with her to get a reaction. She smiled and she turned around, embracing for a moment then shaking hands. I grabbed for another bottle and filled both of our glasses knowing the trouble I was getting her in. I'm certain Syndicate had already planned for her to have a driver ready on stand by tonight.

"Adorkable darling, I am so proud to see you walk this road with us. You've been nothing short of a true asset to both Syndicate and I, we are both invested in seeing you have the best future possible. Enjoy tonight, the security business is no joke!"

Laughing we both took a big drink, I noticed the knew it couple Sal and Marie_Luciana in the distance. They were new in town and I wanted to make my acquaintance. More people walked towards Adorkable so I slowly backed away from her, still having her attention I made a drinking motion with my glass.
