HotIce was relaxing with a hot cup of coffee from her favorite Chicago bakery, when suddenly over the radio she heard what sounded like a long high pitch tone with the following message: 

ALERT!  The National Weather Service has issued the following warning for the whole of Chicago, until 9 P.M.  eastern standard time.  A severe thunderstorm as located over The Loop district of Chicago, moving west at 7 miles per hour.   Expected hazards include 75 mile per hour wind gusts and quarter sized hail.   Expect damage to cars, roofs, siding and trees.  Effected areas include:  The Loop, The Suburbs, North Side, South Side, and East Side  Chicago. The MidpoinT of the storm is expected to land in South Side Chicago in only a few minutes.   For your protection please move to an interior room, on a lower floor inside a building.  Torrential rain fall is expected with this Storm and may lead to flash flooding.  Do not drive your vehicle though flooded road ways.

Please take precautionary safety measures if you are traveling through the city of Chicago tonight.

Just as she looked up the hail was coming down on the bakery window next to her. The pounding against the window meant it was her turn to get up and leave so she had time to meet with Storm at the new Headquarters for a congratulatory drink before heading back to Philadelphia.
