Shirley responds to a telegram. Since the demise of her parents some few years back, Shirley knew she had to make a change of venue.  With all in order, she passed the last envelope off to her cousin Guido. He embraced his cousin, then placed his hands on her face and whispered, "bellissmo."

For the first time in Shirley's life she executes her plans from all she had known in her lifetime. She boards a dingy.  Unknown what the future has in store for her, she is determined  to make a future for herself.

Nearly a month later Shirley reaches her destination. A bit shaken by the folks who look over her she asks, "Am I delusional or are you back to the future?"
