Respect the hierarchy Started by: Boogie on Feb 15, '18 15:22

I don’t have time to stand on anyone’s head. Today we’re getting to the point because I’m supposed to be doing some very grown up things to a very grown up lady.

I’m disgusted by the amount of disrespect displayed amongst our mafia world. No longer is this a world of principle, morals, class, and above all RESPECT. How is it that a low stinking Goomba can approach a Godfather who is protected by 175 perfectly trained bodyguards? How is it that when an associate joins a family’s “payroll” that he can go directly to the Don demanding questions and help as if he walked on water with his stink ass sandals 15 minutes ago? Oh yea. I know why! It’s because people have stopped caring and preaching about hierarchy.

Before anyone says something that will get them shot 303 times, let alone interrupt my speech, I’ll inform everyone that everything I learned didn’t come directly from my upper structure. I’ve studied my ancestry journals, along with going up the rank ladder, to ensure I wouldn’t bother my ever-so busy Crew Leader. But it doesn’t matter because I am a Man amongst you boys and girls. Doing as I do will only result in your failure because you will not get the same results. Anywho! Allow me to school you on proper hierarchy etiquette.

GODFATHER

Now before we even begin let me clarify something. There is NO such rank as “Godmother”. It simply does NOT exist. With getting that out of the way allow me to carry on.

Have you ever said anything slightly unappealing to your mother’s eats that made her backhand slap you with the force of a thousand horse kicks? Did it make you have trouble telling the difference between sugar and salt for a record breaking 3 months? Now I want you to think about that feeling and multiply it by 10 whenever you’re granted the privilege of even sitting amongst this highly ranked figure.

This man or woman is the boss of bosses I’m your city. They demand and deserve the upmost respect! And rightfully so. They’ve laid their bones before your parents had the chance to practice sexual positions. They’ve worked their way from the very bottom to the top by either allowing their hands to bleed from various hand in hand drug trades, breaking fellow mafioso out of jail, snatching purses, picking locks, and probably from doing some grimey shit. 99% of the time they’ve done all options. This is the top of the totem pole. The most respected, most experienced, richest, mafioso in your district or city. They have, if seen fit by this figure, the privilege to sit on their ass all day and collect money. After all, they’ve worked their fat ass to sit in this position.

Their job is to make sure the city is running smoothly. Your job is to make sure you keep said person’s pockets fat, and their coffin empty. Godfathers have the ability to close and open shop as they please. A.k.a start and end a family. Their word is final and there is NO debate after their final decisions. Any ill words or ill actions said or done will resort in your death. If your Godfather doesn’t get you shot I’ll personally do it myself.

The Godfather is responsible for the promotion of Don in the city.

CREW LEADER

Your crew leader is exactly as the title promotes. This is the head of your crew. Your crew leader is to be respected as well. No ifs ands or buts about it. This is a HIGHLY trusted and experienced member of our society, as The Godfather themselves have given them the permission to set up shop in a city. This is the sole reason you are alive. They grant you housing along with the blessing to move drugs or do crimes in a city. This is the man you pay all your taxes to. This is the man you work so hard to keep alive. This is the man’s ass you wipe when he is too fat to do it themselves. All word is final from someone wearing the bold suit. If he says jump, well you better make sure your feet are off the floor before he even has a chance to finish the J word. Unless you have the brain of a 2 year old, or unless it’s a life or death situation you can’t control, this person is not to be contacted directly.

The Crew Leader has the power to promote any mafioso with any rank until it’s their time to get promoted to Don. I’m other words Made Man - Consigliere is your crew leaders decision.

RIGHT HAND

This person is also a form of upper structure. They are to be treated with the EXACT SAME respects as your beloved Crew Leader. When said Crew Leader is not around, they are the head honcho of your family. Their word is golden and is to be taken seriously as if it came from the Crew Leader himself because 9/10 it probably did come from the Crew Leader. The Right Hand man has access to all of the Crew Leader’s mail. They carry out the day-to-days and loose ends of the Crew Leader. In some cases they also do more work than your Crew Leader. The Right Hand Man not only mingles with other figure heads OUTSIDE of the family, they also deal with situations concerning the family OUTSIDE of the family just as the Crew Leader would. Since the Right Hand Man is second in command I wouldn’t fuck around if I were you. They’re basically a Crew Leader.

They also have the ability to promote you when they see fit.

LEFT HAND MAN

Even though they don’t share some of the daily duties as the RHM, nor privileges,  this is still a figure you better respect. They are also apart of the upper structure. When your Crew Leader or RHM is not around, this is the next person in charge. Not only are they skilled in slapping the taste out of your mouth, the LHM is blessed with the job of sorting out things within the family. Not much needs to be said about this position as I previously stated this is another of the upper structure trio.

HITSQUAD LEADER

While not a upper structure member, this cold hearted bastard is just as important as they come. One of the most tactical, organized, and cunning human being in This Thing Of Ours, the HSL has one purpose and one purpose only. To plan and execute mayhem on whoever is lucky enough to eat bullets for breakfast. They keep tabs of who is doing what with their gun, teaches morons what to and what NOT to do with their guns, and did I say they get to plan mayhem on whoever is lucky enough to eat bullets for breakfast? This is a position in the hierarchy that isn’t posted in plain sight. There is no special bold suit or slanted hat. Chances are you’ll probably never know who this person is unless you’re lucky enough to grace the pleasure of being in your family or city’s hit squad. This position is not for the faint hearted. It’s only for the most experienced shooters to grace our lifetime. They hold not only your life, but perhaps the life of the entire city. They also hold a seat at the table full of big wigs.

DON

The Don. Yes. When you’ve reached this prestigious milestone consider yourself an elite member of our society. The Don is to be treated with the same respect you treat your mother with. They have proven their worth ten times over. This achievement is basically your initiation to the upper structure. This is the equivalent of becoming a Made Man. The rank is so special that only The Godfather of a city has the say so on this promotion. The Don is experienced, seasoned, and bad ass. The Don has the wits, the charisma, and the knowledge to run their own family, and in some cases run their own city.

CONSIGLIERE

The Consigliere no longer has to dirty their hands with petty crimes or small time drug trades. As the Consigliere you’ve been drafter to the big leagues baby! There’s a difference in trust when your Crew Leader has granted you this promotion. Before it was pay up and shut up! Now? Now you’re the family advisor. Now your word means something. No longer do you have to ASK to speak. Instead, the head and hands of your family are now coming to you for advice. Now they ask you about your thoughts on giving people their button. Now they’re asking you your thoughts on taxes. Now they’re asking you who to kill. Now they’re asking you what color socks to put on when they go visit that whore around the corner. You get the point. The Consigliere’s word is instrumental when it comes to making decisions within the family. Consider yourself privileged to be wearing this title because not too many people wear this rank.

CAPOREGIME

Ah yes. The Capo. It seems that not too long ago you were just granted your button and was introduced to the family the right way. Well, some time has passed and now you’re no longer a Made Man. Do you go right to the big leagues? Of course fucking not. However, you do get your own little street team within the family. As a Capo, you have the privilege of not only being in charge of Made Men, but you also have the privilege of brining people on board as an associate. You teach people the way of life that way you don’t have any knuckle heads running up to the Crew Leader asking dumbass questions you were supposed to answer days  ago. As a Capo you are now a seasoned veteran. You eat steak instead of TV dinners. You still work hard, but you also do a little less because you have people paying off some of your taxes from their work. The Capo is the bridge between lower and higher ranks.

I apologize for any errors in my speech today. I’m drunk and as you can tell my speech has been hindered slightly.

Boogie then walks off wobbling as he smacks the asses of many female who blatantly stick their rump out fornhim.

Klejnot listened and crossed her arms, brow twitching as she had no means of arguing. The point was right but there was some parts in the speech she had to disagree with.

Sadly respect goes all around Boogie. But yes, Upper Structures and Godfathers should receive more. But if a goomba or gangster has questions they are allowed to ask who they please. They should not be demanding anything, for that is not their place and do not need to be handed anything. Other then that, everything stated above is pretty spot on. But you probably should avoid coming to the streets after drinking. Or you might look back, thinking it over going "why the hell did I say that" Much said, I wish you a swell day.

She turned and strolled off back to her task at hand collecting a drug run profit.

Well I’ll have to disagree with your opinion Klejnot. We have a hierarchy for a reason. A Goomba has ZERO right to be asking their Crew Leader questions if it isn’t life or death. There’s nothing wrong with getting to know your CL, but I find it disgusting how someone who hasn’t earned the right to speak, gets to spam the mail of the most respected person in the family. I guess this all boils down to our society putting zero emphasis on the ranking system. Or any i just ranting on?

Hopefully some people learn something today.

Report Post Tip

Really when my ancestors started in this career they were allowed to ask for help from the cl. A CL Is expected to teach new members and lead by example. Some can sit and avoid confronting members of their family. But that makes a family, well dull in my own opinion. You may have other opinions on what you say and what I have to say in response but.

But still, it all boils down to what you believe in. We have different views and do not need to argue over this. Though as said a few times already, I do not agree with a leader telling new members or anyone below made or even under lhm to not speak to them. That is in my own thought:

  • Rude
  • Un-Leader like

I have NEVER once heard of a crew leader or upper structure say "Do not ask anything unless its life or death." I dont think it works like that anyways.

She shrugged further annoyed now.

As a leader I am not annoyed by my members coming to me for questions, to talk or anything. I have an open door policy and I allow all of that. Hell sometimes there are discussions where I don't always agree but I take what is being said into consideration. Perhaps you will view this as wrong but I prefer to have members that are comfortable talking to me. It takes everyone to make a family successful not just the leader.

Now where I do have a line is if something like this happened. A random thug approaching me to request a favour. If said thug is from an entirely different city I am going to look at them a little funny because what right would they have to come to me with such a request? It leaves me to wonder why they would not approach their own upper structures and going about it that route.

I find it odd when people leave their own hierarchy to approach another hierarchy. It always makes me wonder if they have respect for their leader, or if they even feel comfortable enough to speak to them themselves. To draw another city into something seems very disrespectful to all parties involved and leads to a bunch of unanswered questions.

So no, I have no issues with my own members coming to me. I find the issue with hierarchy when its a low rank approaching the hierarchy of a different city.

Being the open minded, floor sweeping and glass fulling peasant 'Earner' he is, Heathro decides to throw his two cent's worth in..

You are looking at this all far to realistically, I love the idea of realism within this little thing of ours but first and foremost it needs to be user friendly for new comers; How is this community meant to thrive and grow when a new player signs up and get's put off by being ignored or abused by an upper structure because he had no Idea in the first place that he couldn't even speak to somebody higher up the food chain.

I find after a few months (even weeks) people get the lay of the land and a few of the things you have stated go without saying but not all people can be expected to understand the ins and out of the mafia underworld. I personally wouldn't go to my cities God Father with matters' I could resolve myself or with the help of my family at such a rank as I am I really have no reason to bother him with my petty doings. but I would hope If i ever needed to for whatever reason that I could.

But hey that's not to say you can't act as you have stated above, by all means go a head and take full control of you rank and position; That's solely your choice and I just though I'd share my opinion, Sir.
