Before we start; this will probably be my biggest Issue in terms of size. Jam packed with all kind of interview and quotes as that other person pointed out.
As we all know we have now 2 papers, the tribune and the ghetto gospel, but we also have a fiery little magazine. It doesn't bother me, it's like putting a lion in with a mouse, and this lion isn't moving until he feels threatened, right now I'll just sit here, relax and enjoy a six pack.

TWO NEW AUTHS! The crime syndicates continue to expand around the states of America, St. Louis a dormant city for some time now has a new top dog.

I tried to reach him before this paper was to be released but, he was extremely busy. Running cities, harder then it looks... Anyway since I couldn't jump onto the newest story I will jump onto the next newest story.
Sly! The newest Philadelphia auth, it was rather un-expected, I thought we were still in a sort of recruitment state, but I have under-estimated these Crew Leaders immensely! They have regain numbers in each inhabited city and I am not sure but I think criminals that are currently walking the streets are the most we have seen in a while.
I went to Sly and in the rush I was I have sort of rushed it a little bit, I apologize for this if it doesn't meet your standards but it was the best I could do with the time I had...
Interview with the new Crew Leader, Sly.
Prophet: Is there anything you would like to say before the interview starts?
Sly: Not really. I'd like to see the article before it goes to print.
Prophet: First question. What was your experience in Philly like?
Sly: Well, my family has been working those of kong and Rockness for as long as I can remember. As always, it is a pleasure to be working with them, but this time it has somewhat of a sweeter taste. I think it would be safe to say that we are making our fathers and mothers proud.
Prophet: Yes an auth would make your association much sweeter.
What would you think is the reason for your auth? Something that has made you stand out?
Sly: Phew, that's a difficult question. I'm never the kind of guy to ask for ANY kind of promotion, so it did come as a complete surprise. I always just try to do my best for the family and be as dependable as I can. I think we're all just excited to see Philly develop as effectively as possible, and it seems like the right time for it.
Prophet: Surprised, yes a lot of people were surprised. Some people question whether it is/was too soon. What are your thoughts on that?
Sly: It's really not up to me to decide. My boss called, and I answered. That being said, any leader would desire a broader base. I think this move will assist in our growth.
Prophet: That is a good solid answer. Any plans for Philly that you can reveal?
Sly: At the moment, we're just putting in our work and building our organization as best as we can, just like everyone else. Recruitment is obviously a priority for me right now, but, other than that, it's simply business as usual.
I will say that I am going to try to come up with an innovative nationwide competition over the coming weeks. If anyone has any ideas that they'd like to see come to fruition, I'd be happy to hear them.
Prophet: Hmmm... Is the recruitment priority bordering on member whoring. And if it is or not, what is Philly's general stance on Member Whoring?
Sly: Crew leader or not, I've always taken the time to reach out to a youngster or two. Showing the ropes to aspiring mobsters has long been something that I've taken great pride in. But we are not shameless. And, in additon, we know that, in general, the ones who come to YOU often have the most potential.
Prophet: That is very similar to my own stance on member whoring, I guess great minds think alike.

The Invincible Made Men
What it takes to be a made man...
Made men, they send spine tingling, tingles down your spine, when you see them walk past. Well unless your capo+ they should, these men are the backbone of every family. Work tirelessly round the clock to earn, shoot, talk, eat (they're still human) and maybe some sucking up (everybody does it). Whatsername gave a very wonderful speech in the streets not long ago.

There have been numerous discussions on these very streets surrounding what qualities it takes to be a mademan and what it means to be a mademan but I am not sure it has even been discussed what skills it takes to be one.
When I talk about qualities I mean things like: respect, honour, loyalty, omerta, dedication, etc. When I talk about skills I mean things like: shooting, pickpocketing, business owning, public speaking, earning, teaching, mentoring, entertaining, etc.
Reading through journals and listening to conversations I have run into two instances that I found interesting.
One, a consigliere had just begun to learn about the skill of shooting. He asked a family member if he was allowed to shoot someone with a -48 tattoo. The comment given was "shouldn't a consig know this by now?" I assume it was written into the rules of this crew that people with -48 tattoos were not to be shot, however if this consig had never intended, until this point in time, to shoot it is possible they did not concern themselves with that rule. He seemed to be intelligent enough to seek clarification before getting trigger happy at least. Regardless of their shooting skill, they seemingly had proven their qualities to their upper structure in order to be given this rank.
Another overheard conversation was a gentleman, who had made it to boss, who asked his crewleader to take his life because he felt he did know enough skills or enough people to properly honour his rank. Upon investigating further this gentleman was highly regarded within his crew and by members of his Godfather's family for his entertainment skills within the business district. He had proven his qualities to his family it seems but he felt his skills were lacking.
So my question for debate is: Can mademen, after proving their qualities, be promoted without having all skills down? Can a person specialize in one or two skills and still be made a member of their family or do they have to have competency in all skills before they earn their button?
So I went around and asked the leaders what they thought, I picked the best four that were either "Unique" or "just the best".
Charlie Croker: The rank of Made Man is a prestigious rank within a family. To me a Made Man has to be trustworthy, hard working and above all else; Loyal. If you dont fit the bill you wont make it here. A Made Man is a fully fledged member of the family and as such has to set an example not only to his fellow family members but to those around him. A Made Man is to be respected.
Clarence Worley: For me a mademan is someone who has not only shown the ability to prosper in this world of ours but also someone who has the potential to go onto greater things. He is a symbol of trust, honour, strength and respect, a member of our society who can protect and serve his family, no matter what the consequence.
He is a representation of a families values and entrusted into the inner circle of the family he is working for.
Not shy of hard work he is also someone who can lead newer members of our community, he knows the place well and always puts family first
He really should represent what a tight family is all about and be able to uphold the family values at all times.
Captain Stubing: Mademan represents entry into an organization that relies on honor and loyalty to maintain it's functionality. It may not be somebody who knows all the ins and outs of the business we are all in or strive to be in but it is someone who has shown him or herself to be an asset to their crew while demonstrating the kind of loyalty and motivation to be productive required to be successful.
FraDiavlo: A made man is a person who stood out of the other criminals who do jobs for a certain family. A criminal who proved that he's a hard worker, a good earner and has loyalty towards a certain family. He gained the respect and the acknowledgement of a family and therefore he gets the honor to become part of this family.
Tough I must say that in my opinion a made man i the lowest rank within a family. He needs to keep up the hard work for the family to gain more power. Anyways the title of made man makes you untouchable for common gangsters etc. and the ceremony is one of the greatest moments in the life of a good mafioso.
A made man not only represents a family, well, that's what a made man does in the first line of course. But a made man also represents a certain way of life. Dedication, Loyalty, Honor, Respect just to name a few things a made man has to represent.
Thank you to all those who partook in this but these men made the cut, and you didn't unfortunately. They all had valid points to make what they (probably) expect from the associates of their families to meet. As you can see each are different in the smaller details but on a larger scale they are more of less the same.
Why do an article like this with such "BIG" quotes? Well Roman being the smart man he is has decided that having 80 something dons running around is not good for business, too many targets, the saying: "Too many chiefs not enough Indians", fit nicely here. So he has put up a blessings system which can be found Here. With the new blessing system up in Chicago it is a scramble for buttons, this has put associates under the microscope, people who were considered at the same point will now be evaluated in a lot more detail (i presume) this is for the benefit of the whole family and for Roman, I would guess he'd rather have 20 handpicked men then 80 ummm average men.
So now you associates have an idea of what you need to do, do it! With this new blessings system it will be a dogfight for the buttons.

Great news guys!
I have finally got a moment to grace you all with my magnificent, gracious(I could go on) presence. I know you all have been wondering where the feck I've been these last few days and all I can say is that sometimes, just sometimes, there are far more important things than showering you all with my unadulterated affection.
With that being said, there are a a few auths that I have not yet formally introduced to the public. It's a good thing they've tagged themselves with "Authed by Godfather TheDean" isn't it?
We are currently seeing cities that have grown exponentially to a point where I am pleased to see so many adequate leaders in times like these, though I am not a fan of a cluster fuck. In the next few weeks there will be moves made to empty cities downsizing our current status. Now, don't get me wrong. It's not about the matter of purely downsizing. These men and woman have worked their asses off and deserve the opportunity to venture out and run cities of their own. It's just a matter of who goes where and when. Soon.
In the mean time, I would like to congratulate two new leaders to New York. TheRabi, may your run be long and fruitful. I just hope you see fit to part with your nickles and dimes when required, oh and please, stay out of my casino. To -Gene_Hunt and his three monkeys he lives nearby, all the best! No doubt you two will do just fine in assisting me with our tasks at hand.
We celebrated his promotion not too long ago, but now we mourn (or celebrate whoever you haters are) for the passing of this religious Crew Leader. This death led to a lot of questions, I can't give you a complicated answer, a recount of the events that led to it... Because there is none! It was a random outburst of hate that TheRabi couldn't control, he picked up his gun pointed aimed, and fired at DavyJones. DavyJones fired back and it wasn't a warning shot...
TheRabi was killed right there and then. A lot of confusion was caused by this, 9 homeless mobsters. They went their separate ways and continued business. So I went to TheRabi's RHM and good friend, SmilingAssasin for an interview, just for you guys (dont you feel special?)
What did you think of TheRabi?

As a person and a friend, he was great.
He was a very active speaker, and something to say most of the time, the only time he wasn't talking t you was when he was sleeping, but that's a good thing, he was a leader, he needed to be actively walking the streets of New York.
I was very unsure when he was first authed to become New Yorks newest leader, not quite understanding why really because you didn't really see much of him in the public streets joining in conversations etc ..but soon it came clear to why he warranted such honour, he was a very hard and dedicated worker, something other people never really got the pleasure of witnessing because 110% of his focus was on the family and not really anyone else around him unless it was required, which to me, is fantastic, a leader who would rather dedicate themselves purely on their family rather than joining in public conversations because lets face it, the streets are pretty doll at the moment, other than new new News Paper's being released, it's all pretty much been people repeating conversations over and over or people advertising for their silly Tailor Shops, so I don't blame him for keeping away from it when there were more important things to be taken care of like his family.

The silent factor was more so with street activity, within the coffee shops and the walls of the HQ, he wasn't so silent.
I think exactly the same of him as I did before, although a little disappointed in his actions, he's still my friend.
We all make mistakes, we all have that moment in our lives when we stand there and say "Fuck this", but we learn to control it, he unfortunately didn't on this occasion and paid the price.
He was a leader and had a family to think about, but he was still human and for that we must forgive, forget and try to realize just how much work goes in to running a successful family, some handle it better than other's, but we all have our off days.

Okay let's ease into this, what are some aspects that a made man needs to have?

Well every made man has to have the qualities of respect, honor, and loyalty. Theres no woman or man born who can join my family if they don't at the bare minimum have the qualities that make them capable of contributing to the family and the city.
The skills they have which allow them to directly contribute may vary on a case by case but they need to be capable people as well. Dogs can be loyal but dogs only work for a treat at the end of the day. I look for people who have a bit of ambition and potential for the future.

He made a mistake. Up to that time, he honorably served the city of NY throughout his life so I give him his due respect but the mistake he made was irreversible. Leaders are responsible for their actions, even moreso than the people who work under them. I think thats all that needs to be said.
I wish his bloodline the best going forward.

Well as you say its a rumor. I feel safe in saying that the entire city of NY would support TheDean's decision as he has more than earned the right to retire at his discretion.
To answer your question, I have faith that when and if the time comes the woman or man who is chosen to take over TheDean's business interests will have the full support of the city and will make all of us proud. Don't count TheDean out just yet however...

I heard this tale and was intrigued it was actually quite good. In fact I love it! It starts great, the middle is awesome I was awe-struck, but the ending may hurt his score...
Based against the Furor series.
- Storyline Flow: 4/5, It was a great tale, it flows quite well but it skips a few minor details of what his surroundings are, how he did things, his emotions. But Overall fairly great.
- Length: 3/5, I think this should've been longer, it had a great idea running, again it could have used a few more details.
- Ending+Beginning: 3/5, The beginning was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC! But it's ending was well... it shot the story in the foot in front of the finish line. It was well maybe to quick, I think that is the best way to explain it.
- Originality: 4/5, I like it, in my short stay here on these shores I have never listened to a story like it. But that is just me so I took a .5 off for that.
- Realism: 4/5, it was pretty realistic, I could buy nearly every single second except for the ending.

It was an excellent story, but the ending killed you in this. I loved the mysterious place, the sequence of events that led to your capture,
