I'd been caught for laundering money for Mexican cartels that were smuggling drugs in and out of Mexico into Los Angeles. I'd gotten caught and was being held in jail by some crooked cops that worked for a rival cartel. Trying to bribe them was out of the question they couldn't be bought. I was going to have my day in court tomorrow and be seen before the judge for sentencing. Things weren't looking good for me as I couldn't call in a favor from the inside. I was going to have to rely on my family to get the job done on this one.

I'd used my one call on Freeman and he wasn't having anything to do with it. Laughed at me and told me he'd be doing just fine on his own while I was locked up. The nerve he had some days! None the less I sit here and await my destiny so to speak. Time stood still when spending time behind bars, what felt like hours could be just a few minutes. Needless to say I knew that this life was not meant to be locked up behind these bars. 

I was destine to lead from my headquarters and not the 5x7 cell. It was just then I heard the sound of a key going into the door. Someone had arrived something was definitely going on. The guard walked in with an awkward look and explained to me that I had been let go and all of the charges were being dropped. He explained to me that there was a couple waiting for me outside in there car. I was quite confused at the entire situation, but proceeded forward out of the cell towards the lobby. Pushing the double doors forward I saw a car that was already started waiting for me at the bottom of the steps. I'd been locked up for a few days, and getting in a car with someone I didn't know wasn't the smartest idea. My other option was to go back into the police department and ask to use there phone.

Needless to say I paced myself as I walked down the stairs trying to see if I recognized these people. They were both sitting up in the front seats so it was truly hard to tell but I decided to take the risk anyways. I open the door slowly behind the passenger side and make my way inside the back seat. To my surprise I recognize both of them right away, Sal and Marie Lucania! They explained to me that "Uncle" Joe Ligambi had heard I was in need of a friend and had sent them in to help me in a time of need.

I didn't dare ask the lengths they went too when they cleaned up all of my charges. I was grateful for their help, they were already proven in Pasadena and had just helped me out in a big way. They pulled up to my headquarters where they would come to a stop. Once outside of the car I took a deep breath and stretched, it was nice to be home. Closing the door behind me I made my way over to Marie_Lucanias door and gave her the roll down window motion. Rolling down the window I thanked them both for there help and to thank Joe for the introduction way back when you first arrived in Los Angeles. 

"Make Sal take you out somewhere nice for dinner, those are the keys to your new headquarters. Your place if fully furnished the hardest of the work is yet to come. I look forward to having you both by my side here in Downtown, now go enjoy yourselves you deserve it!"

Marie's eyes go wide as Roman handed her a set of keys and told her what they go to.  A Headquarter?  He was making her a crew leader?!?

"Oh my... thank you Godfather!  I... I will not disappoint you.  Thank you for this opportunity." 

She looked at Luca and in her eyes he can see her panicked look and within them and her desperate plead for help.
