You walk by a dark alley and you see a man that you do not recognize, his name, you learn, is Charlie Scene. He is sitting in the alley next to a trash can kind of zoned out and with his knees pulled to his chest. He looks to be in a dark place and seems very depressed. "You okay sir?" says the passing stranger. Charlie Scene looks up at the stranger. "No," he replies then goes back into his trance... Mr. Scene then flashes back to the worst night of his life. It was 3 years ago this day. -------------------------- Charlie, his wife, and his son were walking home from a play when a few gang members from "The Toe" approached them. "Alright guy, just give us all the money you got and nothin' bad gonna happen to ya...." Says one of the gangsters. Charlie puts his family behind him and stands up tall. "I don't think so pal, so you can just run a..." Charlie replies. Before he can even finish his statement he feels the cold metal of a lead pipe to the side of his head. Several minutes later he wakes up to find his wife and child brutally murdered laying on the side of the street. Charlie's eyes begin to well up fast as he crawls over to his wife. As he looks down at her he sees that his wife had a death grip on her purse and his wallet. His son was several feet away sprawled out on the concrete. "H-h-how could I have let this happen..." Charlie cries. Charlie can barely see due to the tears that have gathered in his eyes. He falls over and lays next to his dead wife and passes back into unconscienciousness. ------------------------- Charlie Scene then pops back into reality and notices the stranger is still there starring at him in bewilderment.
