It was late.

He was on his third drink at this point, a luxury usually only saved for when he was reminiscing and that is exactly what he was doing tonight. It had been a long road for Shaggs and especially for The Mystery Machine. Life had taken him from Philadelphia where he had worked with East_Side_Tacos, to Chicago, to New York with Dovahkiin and with her to Las Vegas where he had finally found a home. He'd been through it all, the good and the bad. So many people had come and so many had gone, but that was the life you knew you'd have when you made it to Godfather. Sometimes it was a heavy burden and it led to that third drink of the night, but many other times and more often it was a lot of very happy memories with friends and family that he could look back on fondly. When he thought of all those faces that had come and gone though there was one who had been there since the beginning. Her mother and Grandmother had all worked for Shaggs in limited roles and then she had come along and blown the doors off their legacies. 

Victoria was Shaggs' best friend.

Since the two had met they'd been partners and he couldn't have imagined that they'd get this far. When The Mystery Machine was first founded it was based on a principle of everyone matters and we will do right by our family and make this world an enjoyable place. Not everyone agreed with how Shaggs had done things but it was always Victoria who had his back, who spearheaded their initiatives. 

She was a woman of principle.

Victoria always knew what the right thing to do was and had kept him on the straight and narrow for a very long time now. He knew what the right thing to do was most of the time but she never wavered. She was unrelenting in her drive to make sure that Las Vegas grew and turned into what they had dreamed about so very long ago back when they both were in Philadelphia. They never thought they'd reach such heights, but who ever does think that? All Shaggs knew is that as time had passed Victoria had never changed like so many he'd seen before. That was a trait that he respected.

She was ready.

She had seen it all and she had done it all. From leading the family and city in his absence, to running every contest under the sun, she had truly done it all. She was his most eloquent member and it was her who had pushed him so hard to be a public figure, something he had come to love after much poking and prodding. She'd pushed others to do the same, they were a city who was out in front of the streets, showing what they could be and what Las Vegas was all about. She had taught many members of the family lots of what they knew and from that he had come to figure out it was time for her to teach her own members.

He was ready.

It was going to happen eventually and he could not be more proud. They had been partners since the start and this was going to be the hardest thing and also the happiest thing he'd done. He knew she would flourish in a larger role and he could not wait to see the kind of family she could build. He would always be in her corner like she'd been in his. Shaggs called Victoria into his office and motioned for her to sit down across from him. It may be a four drink night, he thought to himself as he took another sip before smiling and sitting down across from Victoria at the desk where so many meetings had been had and so many decisions had been made.

Victoria, I think you know why we are here. We've seen the growth in this city with @TonyCastelli, @Frankie-Messina and @Prof-V-Jameson. We know that if we want to continue to thrive and promote this awesome city and the world we've all created we are going to need to continue to add steady hands to man the ship. You and I both know that I need a new Captain here in The Strip and I can think of no one better to fill that role than the woman who has been by my side since day one. If you choose to accept this offer, know that we will always be family and you will always be part of The Mystery Machine.
