Today I bring some news that I say with a heavy heart. When I first moved to Seattle I had big dreams, I wanted to grow a brilliant and friendly crew that would help me shape this new city. I had it all planned out and knew exactly what it was going to take to get there. I really wanted to contribute to this amazing community. 

Recently I have had some very sad news which I won't go into here but I am having to deal with a severe illness in my family, that combined with having to do extra hours at work is obviously taking its toll.

I have repeatedly told myself that I can be more active and that I can focus on the game more but this morning I decided to face the reality that I cannot. It is no longer fair to the members of my crew that they are in a family with a leader who cannot give them the attention they deserve.

So, finally, as of tonight I am shutting shop and stepping down. I have made plans for my men to safely join James_coonan's crew where I hope they prosper and are able to accomplish what I could not.

To make this transition go as smoothly as possible I ask you all not to shoot anyone with the crew tags - Turner Crime Family - this would be very much appreciated.

You made the right call. I have seen too many people over the years try to juggle intense real-life responsibilities with running a crew. Their egos prevented them from stepping down, and eventually their whole families were gunned down for being wastes of space. I hope everything works out for you.

As I said in my note to you - I also have a ton of respect for this tough decision.  I know people wait a long time to get authorized, sometimes years, so it's hard to walk away... but if anything, knowing when you have to step away, that's the hallmark of a good leader too.  

I hope things calm down in RL and you get another shot soon and OF COURSE come back to do some rp with me.  \o/
