Luciano grew up on the streets of New York. His father was killed when he was very young and his mother worked to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. He never was good in school but he did find that he was good in a fight and built his reputation using that skill. He ran with the Five Points Gang in his youth and survived and escaped serval attempts on his life which is where he got his nickname of "Lucky". 

After the being ambushed in a local speakeasy and barely escaping with his life he decided it was time to leave New York and he headed west to LA. He took some time to recover from his injuries and then decided to get to work. He formed a small crew of young teens in LA that started gaining some control of smaller rackets in the LA area and that's when he ran into Salvatore_Lucania. He met the RHM of the Lucania family when his crew pressed some business for protection money, what Lucky didn't know was that those businesses were already protected. 

Luca recruited Lucky to do some work for him collecting, sending messages and taking care of contracts and Lucky excelled at these jobs and quickly earned the mans respect. Lucky worked hard for Luca and eventually was talked into joining the LA-based crime family. 

Before the transition was complete a massive war broke out in the OC world and Luca was killed. Lucky decided to still join the family out of respect for his mentor.
