The Flying Ivories: Detroit ChapterDeath_ stood at the door to his newly purchased establishment. As he looked in, he realized the place was a mess and would require a few hours cleaning...
After amassing a few servants, quite a number of hard hours of labor, and about 9 kegs of Whiskey later... Death_ stood in the halls of his newly opened fine establishment, The Flying Ivories: DT Chapter
The Flying IvoriesNow Open for BusinessLocated in the alley between Maynard and 43rd AveDowntown, DetroitFull BarDice Pits Live Bands NightlyB&B
It looked pretty seedy in here. A few vagrants hang around the corner. You see a dark red metal door with the letters TFIDT spray painted in silver above the slide. You knock and the slide opens. A pair of beady green eyes looks you over before unlatching the door and inviting you into the bar. As you walk in the large doorman quickly shuts and latches back the red door. He points down the hall a bit as you wonder what you’ve gotten into coming here. As you walk into the next room, through some elaborate red curtain, you look around and hear a beautiful cacophony of elation and despondency. There are fifteen different dice pits with people gathered around each making bets. You can almost feel the electricity and the tension radiating from the room. The club itself is adorned in some of the most lavish décor. There is a large bar along the wall on the left that extends all the way across that side of the room. In behind all the dice pits there is a decent sized dance floor with a large stage behind it. There is a full band playing and people dancing away. You see Death_ and Brancer over by the Dice Pits where they are watching the games. Each has a cigar in his mouth and is furiously puffing away at it. Death_ sees you walk in and smiles. “Hey there haven’t seen you in here before. Make yourself at home, But don’t make any trouble. Careful the dice are extra hot tonight and we don’t have a closing time.” He said with a big chuckle. “Bar Staff should be able to make any drink you can think to order. If not you find me, and I’ll make sure they learn their lesson.” He said with a wink as he walked back over to the dice pits. “Enjoy yourself. If you need anything let me know. Hotel's upstairs if you find yourself needing to stay and Breakfast is served 6am to 10am daily...” He said looking back over his shoulder. |

Death_ chuckled to Caspian's remark of not hogging the dice. "Sorry mate, ivories 've been hot all night and they're all Mine ;) " he crushes out his cigar and walks towards the dice tables yet again, kinda low on funds from his last run... |

Death_ nearly spat his drink out at the mention of Durdens in the area. He grabbed his pistol and ran to the door for some of the action, shooting the first durden fuck to come within ear shot. "Take that you fuckin shitbag!" He shouts as he walks back toward the bar to cool down and wash up a bit. "How's it goin' in here barkeep?" he asks as he sits down to await more family... |

Briya had heard of the Detroit branch of the Ivories, but had yet to pay it a visit. Not surprisingly, it was decked out in the same lush decor she'd come to expect from all of the Ivory locations. A quick scan of the crowded gambling area didn't reveal either Death or Brancer, so she sidled up to the bar to torment the bartender a bit. "Ramos Gin Fizz," she called out, shoving her hands in her pockets with a smirk when she saw him slump his shoulders. Yes, there were more ingredients than usual, but the drink itself was a pure pain in the ass simply because of the shaking involved to froth the egg properly. Two minutes later, the poor guy's arms were about to give out, but Briya simply raised an eyebrow. Two more minutes, and he was sweating. A quick shake of her head told the bartender that Briya still wasn't satisfied. Another two, and the pissed off bartender was silently plotting her death as he poured out the Ramos into a tall glass. "Very nice," she nodded after giving it a taste. It really was, but something was missing. Just...not from the drink. |

Brancer walked into the Detroit location and looked around. He wondered where his old buddy Death_ was, and what he had been up to exactly. He walked by the pits happy to see that gambling was well in motor city as well. After checking out the band for awhile, he looked around to the bar, and Brancer smiled when he saw a beautiful blonde sitting at the bar that he would recognize anywhere. What luck he had do run into her. This might feel like stalking at some point it he wasn’t careful. “I’ll have a double Negroni.” He said to the exhausted looking bartender as he took a seat next to Briya. “Interesting looking drink you have there Miss. What as a lovely lady like you doing alone at a bar anyways?” Brancer smiled over at her and winked. He pulled out his cigarette case and offered one to Briya before putting one in his own mouth. Brancer then pulled out his lighter and lit her smoke for her before his own. “Was just the fluid that was low apparently? Thank goodness. I wouldn’t be able to stop carrying this thing either way.” The bartender placed his Negroni down and told him his bill. Brancer just laughed and paid the man. “He must be new here?” He said to Briya as the guy left to cover other orders. Brancer took a drink from the Negroni and frowned. “Pretty sure that’s not equal parts. How do you mess that up? I’m going to have to have a talk with the staff here at some point. Maybe he’s flustered or something?” He shook the idea off. He was more interested in watching Briya at the moment than dealing with business anyways. Well at least he must have been because he caught himself staring. |

Death_ slipped silently into the bar behind the, at this point, nearly dead bartender and quickly caught him as he about hit the ground with Brancer's drink. "Well hello there old friend, glad to see you around these parts again. Yes, business is booming as usual." He then looked over to notice the Blonde sitting next to Brancer to realize it was none other than the stunning Briya of whom he had not yet made the acquaintance. "Ah, hello there Briya, welcome to The Ivories in DT. It is always nice to have family here. Drinks are on the house, but please don't attempt to kill the poor tender, he's new..." He chuckles and walks over to Brancer, handing him his newly made drink. "How's it with you on your end? I've been slammed left and right, no time for anything lately... but these dice just keep on BOOMING.. " he trails on |

"Aww, darn. And here we were, just getting to be good friends," Briya said while grinning at the bartender, who simply stared at her. If she wasn't careful, he'd be spitting in her next drink. Laughing quietly to herself, she twisted on the barstool to greet Death_. "Quite the pleasure to meet you, Death. I've heard only good things," she said, reaching to shake his hand. After the polite introduction was made, Briya's hand came to a rest on Brancer's back. "Our boy Brancer here has quite the keen eye for business opportunities. I don't think anyone else can turn ivory into gold like he can," she said, just as a table nearby erupted in a chorus of boos and cursing. "House always wins." |

As the crowd all gathers 'round the dice tables to see what the commotion's about Death_ keeps his conversation with Briya and Brancer going a little longer by asking about business here and losses there, but he really just couldn't get over the height of the noise in the room and had to excuse himself to the office for a while to watch the dice from afar and kill his headache with some well needed weed. |

Napster had been looking around town for his boss. He had some important news to tell him. After a short while he began to get irritated. He simply couldn't find Death_ anywhere, he wasn't at his office in the HQ. There was one place where he knew Death_ likes to kick back and relax 'The Flying Ivories: Detroit Chapter' So in a hurry he calls his driver to take him there. After a short while he arrives at the club. He hadn't been here before, although his boss keeps telling him how great it is. He notices right in front of him a big red metal door with TFIDT painted above it. He steadily makes his way over, the doorman having realised who he was nods, and opens the door for him. Where's the boss at? The doorman points towards the dice tables. Not surprised to see his boss at the dice tables again, he makes his way over to him, but before he grabs himself a glass of whiskey from the bar. |

It had been quite awhile since Brancer had made his way into the Detroit TFI. After taking care of a few things in town he stopped by hoping to run into his old pal Death_. He knew he must be busy as hell with all the new responsibilities he had taken on recently. Brancer wanted to congratulate him. Also, he knew the place would know how to make a damn good negroni. He had brought along 50k to throw at the tables, too. Brancer was used to being on the other side of the casino equation. He thought it would be nice to throw the ivories up against the wall in someone else's place. After ordering a double of his favorite Campari filled beverage, Brancer made his way over to one of the dice pits where he threw down the first, of five, stacks of 10k. "I'd like to shoot soon." He said as he pulled out a smoke and lit it. The dealer and the box man both looked to their pit boss who gave them the go ahead on his bets. Brancer blew out a plume of tobacco into the air and smiled as the dealer pushed the dice towards him. He finished off the Negroni and smiled when he saw a waitress head off to get him another. "It's nice to not be the one treating the high rollers for once." He thought to himself as he picked up the dice. |

Charsi was once again in Detroit awaiting a good deal with one of her dealers. She had some time to wait before meeting him so decided to go on a bit of a stroll in the Downtown district of the city. She took note of the varied of establishments that she passed but nothing had caught her eye. Still, Charsi was never one to give up on her quest to find something of interest and soon found herself walking down Maynard.
She made her way in and could see it was a little seedy, but that didn't bother her. After the small panic with the cops just beforehand, a drink was definitely in need. She decided to keep it simple "Double vodka please sir" she asked the barkeeper as she got to the bar with a few dollar bills already in her hand. The barkeeper seemed to look her up and down but decided she was okay to serve as he nodded to her request. He poured her a double vodka and slid the drink towards her. Charsi thanked the man as she paid for her drink and proceeded to take it down in one hit "Another please" as she slid the glass back to the tender. He poured her another and again she paid up for it and took it down well. "Thank you for the service" Charsi said as she decided it was time to make a leave, she wasn't familiar with where she was but was sure she would visit another day. Simply because sometimes it's nice to be out of the limelight and she had found that despite it appearing seedy that The Flying Ivories had character. That she liked. With that, she went out of the door and back down the alleyway to get back to the business district of Detroit. |
