Victor White: " Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. I am your trusted commentator Victor White here to give you a play by play on what's going on down on the pitch. We've got two very young teams in the New York Whirlwinds and the Los Angeles Wolves. Both teams are looking for a chance to get into the major leagues and a win here might get them the recognition they need. Now looking at the line-ups, our first player to watch, David Carter, Number 10 hailing from Detroit is an unmistakable monster in the final third. At such a young age he has already shown much promise in his time in the youth leagues and this is his chance to lead this amateur NY squad to the big time. And as for the Wolves, we have Vito Landucci Hailing from right here in LA. Landucci started his career late and was actually a last minute pick up before their last match against Seattle and boy did he come to play. One goal and two assists on the day which makes me wonder what he will bring to the table in this one."

"Well both teams have appeared to finish warming up and are getting into position to start this one. I have a really good feeling this is going to be one for the history books!"

Highlights

'00 Kickoff. It looks like New York will be kicking this one off to start the game.

'03 Davis working off of a beautiful through ball from O' Reilly gets into position for a shot.  One fake.. no two.. and a cross across the box to the waiting Carter but OHHH an unfortunate miss-fire on the volley and the ball goes wide. Goal kick.

'17 A very slow start to things in this one for Los Angeles as they have yet to even get a shot off. New York in possession in midfield. Michelson showing off a little bit of footwork, getting by Gonzaga with ease. He plays it up to Matthews who takes off towards the box. OHH He puts Ramirez on his back and fires from just in the box and.. GOOOOAAAAAALL. RICARDO MATTHEWS Gets the opening goal of the game.

'25 ... Ball stolen away by Stone and cleared upfield to Landucci who is taking off down the field. Fancy footwork as he out maneuvers two New Yorkers and provides a beautiful pass to Christiansen who is all alone and onside. The shot from outside the Box... Ahh tipped away by Goldberg. What a save! You could argue he had other options, but the youngster took a chance and almost got rewarded for it. Corner kick.

'40 We are closing in on Half time and it has been New York for most of it. O'Reily has possession for NY and passes it off to Davis who does a beautiful move between the legs of Stone and passes back to O'Reily who takes it down the wing. He may look to cross it here. And he does, low cross down the middle and DEAR GOD WHAT A ROCKET FROM CARTER!!! David Carter shields the ball, turns and blasts it into the Top Right corner. Sparks had no chance to stop that one, what a shot. New York has extended their lead to two.

'45+2 Douglas gets the ball off of a clearance from sparks. They are playing very aggressive in the closing minutes of extra time. Douglas find Livery wide open and running down the side. He shakes one.. no two.. no three New Yorkers before hitting Jones with a pass. And now Silva is on his back after a fake Shot from Jones and OH MAN WHAT A SHOT!!! Jones turns around from the fake shot into open space and fires an unstoppable shot from just inside the box. Goldberg barely has time to turn let alone attempt a save. Jones gives LA some hope as we go into halftime.

Halftime NY 2 - LA 1

NY '17 Matthews. 40' Carter

LA '45+2 Jones

'45 Kicking off the second half with LA.

'51 Landucci stealing the ball away from Carter and taking the ball up field all by himself. His support is trying to catch up with him. A very well times back heel to Douglas who puts it in the air and back on the feet of the now open Landucci... who FAKES OUT GOLDBERG AND PASSES IT INTO THE EMPTY NET!! What a fantastic display of composure by Landucci. This is why we watch Soccer. It is all tied up now, What a game!

56' A corner kick for NY to be taken by Matthews. He launches it into the middle and Douglas heads it out into safety... wait no.. to the feet of Daniels! Daniels turns and fires a shot over the crowd and... it hits the crossbar and flies back into the box... Carter gets space and tries a shot but Sparks is able to catch that one.

68' Livery with a weak pass to Christiansen that gets intercepted by Davis. Davis wasting no time comes up the middle and fires it home.. But Sparks has had enough and tips it away from goal. Sparks has really turned up in this second half.

78' Landucci and Douglas with another back and forth in the final third. Landucci passing it off to Jones and... OH YOU JUST CAN'T DO THAT! A Vicious slide tackle from behind by Michael Terry. Jones is still down and the ref is coming over. He pulls out the Yellow card, and rightfully so. That was a desperate play for NY but now they have to deal with this free kick and LA have a Free kick Specialist in Jones. He is back on his feet ready to take the free kick. Goldberg, lining up his four man wall. The ref blows the whistle. Jones kicks it right over the wall annnnnd.... RIGHT PAST THE FINGER TIPS OF GOLDBERG INTO THE BACK OF THE NET!!! Jones is running to the sidelines, chased by his teammates and is tackled by the substitutes. That was one hell of a free kick and now LA has taken the lead for the first time today! 3-2

87' Davis collecting the ball from Daniels. He plays it back to Simmons who then crosses it to the open Michelson. Looks like there is room to run for him. Carter is calling for the ball in the box but Michelson takes it himself and... COMPLETELY misses the target! Tough break. Carter made the perfect off-ball run and was wide open but Michelson completely ignores it but fails to get the equalizer.

90'+4 The LA fans are still cheering on their team as they are quite clearly the winners of this one. They seem content on passing the ball around their own third. Or maybe not. Gonzaga blasts it down the left side to Hennessey. Hennessey takes it up the left side looking for someone to be in the middle. Douglas the first one to reach the box and Hennessey crosses it in. Douglas heads it back towards the waiting Livery who takes a shot.. and it hits the cross bar.. But Douglas recovers it in the box and fires it in FOR A GOOOOOOOOAL. Jermaine Douglas showing why he wears the Captain's band. And this one is all over But the shouting now.

Victor White " What a phenomenal game between two talented teams. It seemed as though New York was playing well in the beginning but Los Angeles really turned it up in the second half and produced 45 minutes of perfect soccer. I have been informed the the Man of the Match honors have fallen to Vito Landucci who put in another fantastic performance for his side today. Without a doubt Los Angeles is ready for the big time, but when will their opportunity come? Only time will tell... But one thing is certain, when it happens you will hear it from me first! My name is Victor White and this broadcast was brought to you from the Goliath Broadcast Studios right here in Pasadena. See you next time!"
