"What's up here and why did we have to get here so fucking early?" asked Diogenis. "Quit griping. Back when I first found out I would have my own little piece of Downtown I was brought here to share a drink with the Los Angeles elite." said Freeman. "So, you woke me up at four in the morning to literally walk down memory lane? You've lost your mind." said Diogenis. "Not yet my friend. We're almost there, just got to get over this hill." said Freeman as they were a few steps from the crest of the hill. Once they were over the hill it finally came into view, the Hollywood sign and standing just under it was RomanReigns. They continued down the hill to greet the Chairman and to progress to the future. "This is it? Just you and Diogenis? Where are the caters, the band, the women?" asked Roman as he looked around. "You know me. I'm not one for grand gestures, I like to keep things personal." said Freeman. "Before anything else is said. I need to know if he also woke you up this early." exclaimed Diogenis. "Why the hell would he need to wake me up? It's barely 4 AM, why wouldn't I be awake?" asked Roman. All three men chuckled but Freeman had a feeling that Roman was serious. He had never actually seen the man sleep in all the years he had known him. Sleep always is one of the first things sacrificed when attempting to build something bigger than yourself, something that will outlast you; an empire. The silence that followed was quickly broken by Freeman pointing off into the dark past Roman. He walked to a particular rock and placed his foot on top of it. He pondered for a bit if it was still there, after all quite some time had passed as this area gets hundreds if not thousands of visitors per day. Freeman hunched down and picked up a second smaller rock that was leaning against the bigger one. If one didn't inspect it they would just assume it was a piece connected to the larger rock. Once moved it revealed what Freeman had placed there so long ago. A bottle of single malt scotch. He wasn't fond of the flavor but the bottle meant more to him than some drink, it was the beginning of his journey in Los Angeles. "Gentleman, this right here may be the worst drink of alcohol I have ever had but it means the world to me. Shall we?" said Freeman as he gave the bottle a slight shake. "Great! Where are the glasses?" asked Roman. "I thought you were bringing them." said Freeman. Well, I thought Diogenis was bringing them." said Roman. "I have no fucking clue why I'm here so don't you two go blaming me." said Diogenis. "He still hasn't told you? You're packing up and moving to Pasadena." said Roman. "Fucking fantastic but wait. You already knew Freeman? Then why are we outside in the cold at 4 AM." asked Diogenis. Freeman opened up the bottle and downed as much as he could stomach before passing the bottle to Roman. Roman near polished off the bottle before passing it to Diogenis. "I'm not one for grand gestures." said Diogenis in a mocking tone before finishing the bottle. Freeman laughed before shaking Roman's hand. They both gave each other a slight nod before Roman walked back up towards the hill, halfway up he motioned to Diogenis. Diogenis looked back to find Freeman staring at the Hollywood sign with the bottle firmly gripped with his left hand. Diogenis turned back towards Roman and joined him on the walk back. "He'll catch up with us in a bit." said Roman. Freeman lifted the bottle to eye level and saw that there were a few drops left. He turned the bottle upside down letting the last drops fall unto the dirt below. He gave the bottom of the bottle a few taps to make sure it was completely empty before putting the top back on. Freeman looked at the bottle once more before walking over the rock that once hid said bottle. He placed the bottle on top of the rock making sure to balance it right so no gust of wind would drop it. He straightened himself before looking back at the Hollywood sign, giving it one last good look for now. "Goodbye old friend, until we meet again." said Freeman. |

Congratulations my friend. Pasadena will see life again after the departure of Don Syndicate and this can only be good news. Hard work and a lot of effort will be needed but with your leadership and the support of the rest of us, in Blazzing Barrels, we will achieve our goal in the end and help Pasadena flourish again. Godfather Roman gave you a big honor that comes with an even bigger responsibility on proving him right on his decision. And knowing you, I feel confident that he made the right choice and he will not be dissapointed. Loyalty, willpower and creativity are all strong in you and they will be the fundemental stones to build onto. Congratulations again, Freeman. |

Freeman had caught up with us as we were slowly making our way back down to our cars. Freeman didn't know that I had a surprise waiting for him down at the cars. All of the family members from Los Angeles were at the bottle waiting for us. I had asked TM to get in touch with Marie_Lucania and company to be ready to celebrate the latest news. It meant a lot to me to have everyone here for the special celebration. Los Angeles means a lot to Freeman and I so this was a special opportunity I couldn't turn down. I popped the cork on a top shelf bottle of tequila that was handed to me from TM and took a big swig. I passed the bottle to Diogenis and snickered uncertain if he would drink it or not. He smelt the bottle and took a quick swig to make me happy then handed it to Freeman. Marie and TM were organized enough to bring glasses with them. They were passed around to everyone and I followed pouring there cups full with tequila. Smiling at each and everyone of them as I filled their glasses to the top. Once everyone had their drink I raised mine in the air and nodded to Freeman. It is and will always be an honor to work with you Mr. Freeman, I told you a long time ago that Pasadena was always meant to be yours. Today I get to follow through with that promise after evicting Syndicate and yourself in consecutive days. Empty bird syndrome I think not, you've both earned your spots and am more then happy to see you go. I look forward to seeing all you do with the new opportunity given. I have a feeling that we are gonna have to break open a new bottle of scotch here in the future. Cheers to you and Pasadena my friend! Freeman downed his drink and everyone followed right behind. Once everyone finished there drink they all began to clap in honor of the new move that had been made. |
