| This Society Needs Newspapers! | Started by: Montague on Mar 18, '18 19:00 |

Not so long ago, my friends, these Streets were served, and served well, by numerous newspapers. The Mafia News, The Fucking Newspaper, and there were others. The Streets were busy and people were happy. So, what happened? Why have they disappeared? What can be done to bring them back? |

I also agree. My family has been a part of newspapers and talk shows in the past. However lately I have been spending a lot of time on vacation. I also must include, the depth of many of these "stories" being published here in the streets aren't even laughably funny with how little to no thought goes into the posts. Seems folks are abusing these credit giveaways that fall from the heavens by God's hands. What a sad time we are dwelling in. |

Agree, so many in here are so good to write a lot so why not making a paper and also have a crew just like in a real newspapaer who put in things in the paper and also can give some small amount to the input article just like in a real newspaper. |

Any time someone writes a newspaper they barely get a full twenty people to read it all the way through, so what reason does anyone have to put in the time and effort when complaining about the lack of newspapers will probably get more traction at the end of the day? If you have the fire to write then I am in full support of a paper, but unless it is written perfectly with hours put into it then the people who actually do read it will critique it heavily and the rest just won't give a fuck. With that said, I am a supporter of small businesses, so lets see what you've got.

| One of my fondest things to do round these shores is to pick up a paper and enjoy a read with my morning coffee. I find it adds just that extra special touch to the world, and would personally like to see a paper thrive once again.. Been trying to bug Boogie- to step up and write one based on that fantastic interview he did of Godfather Chairman RomanReigns. But alas as a couple of others have pointed out it is tremendous work. I think any man or woman who would embark on such a feat should remember to take pride in their own work, and find the whole act of producing a news paper a labour of love. Sad today a lot of small things slip through the cracks or are under appreciated. I can say running a paper is too much for me. So I shall sit and wait for the days where I can enjoy another good read, remaining confident that someone out there will answer this call. | |

"Well instead of complaining about how sad things are, do something to change it. FatherMacklePenny, I don't hear you adding anything better to the stories being told around here. It's very easy to sit back and complain and hope others do the leg work, than to put in the effort to raise the standards through example. Those telling their stories on these Streets, don't be discouraged by this mans words. Keep at it and do what you love to do. There are more people out here who appreciate what you are doing and what you are adding to this world. Not everyone can recite the spoken word like they had been gifted by the Gods themselves. And if they recieve something in return, from those passing or by the grace of the almighty, then so be it. I'd rather a street full of discussions and stories, than a barren wasteland because people are too scared to be seen or heard out here. Skills, afterall, can only be sharpened through experience. I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but this needs to be said." |
