Chasing Tyler Durden Started by: Olivia on Mar 26, '18 03:13

Continued from The Muscle Lounge .....

Olivia smiled when Roman thanked her for sending her men out, which also caused her to chuckle softly. “Well, I can’t exactly allow the Godfather Chairman of Los Angeles to come to Detroit and get accosted by someone like Tyler Durden. It’s the least I can do really.”

When her men came back she could instantly tell it wasn’t good news; they were trying not to draw too much attention as they hurried to her table, keeping their voices low as they explained that Durden was not only still alive but had been spotted right here in Detroit, likely looking for Roman. The man across from her was on his feet within a few moments, clearly not about to hide out while Durden terrorized the city. He thanked her for her hospitality and Olivia walked with him to the front door, making her security aware of their circumstances.

But that wasn’t just all. Olivia was about to let Roman face Tyler Durden all, so she grabbed her own jacket and gun from the entrance and followed him out. Olivia could tell that Roman was going to object so she stopped him before he could even start.

“Don’t even imagine I’m going to let you handle this alone. There’s no way Tyler is alone and you’re going to need some sort of back up. No matter if it’s Marla, Robert or one of his many other goons, I’m not about to let you get outnumbered right out the door.”

Tyler Durden was an infamous sort of man who never gave up trying to invade their world. Sometimes he would be seen every few days, with smaller gangs of 40 or 50 men. Other times it would take a few weeks before he’d come back, but he’d appear with thousands of men, terrorizing their cities. He’d been driven back time and time again but never seemed to give up. Tonight, Olivia would help RomanReigns hunt Tyler Durden once again and maybe, just maybe, they could drive him back for good.

I knew that there was no arguing with this one, I was in her city as a guest none the less. We both headed for the car, she went for the drivers seat to open the door for me out of respect and I went to the passenger side to open the door for her out of respect. We both took a second to laugh when we'd realized what we were doing. I threw the keys to her and I hopped into the passenger seat letting Olivia drive.

We were on the road before we knew it, her men had tipped us off that there were a few goons left around locally. I pulled my pistol from its holster inside my jacket pocket making sure it was loaded. We first circled the block to make sure that we weren't being followed, but it didn't looks like that was the case. I was watching a car gaining speed on us and it was possible they were gonna be shooting as soon as they got close enough.

"It looks like we got one behind us". I said motioning to her side mirror. She acknowledged that we had to act fast or they were gonna make a move on us before we got the chance. Cocking back my pistol I fired off a couple shots in there direction, they were still gaining speed. It wasn't gonna work with us in front of them. Olivia acted quickly and took a sharp right into a dark alley, smashing into trash bins sending them flying into the air making a mess of everything specially my car. She gave me a look as if she was sorry for the damage made to my car, but we both knew the move needed to be made.

The car drove past us at a high rate of speed sending a few bullets in our direction, but nothing hit the car. We continued speeding forward trying to cut through to the next street. That was when we realized that there was no next road that it was a dead end. Olivia slowed the car down to a stop, turning off the lights she kept the engine running.

"They're gonna turn around and come back for us. We have to be ready follow me.", she said hopping out of the car.

I followed by hopping out of the car and quietly closing the door. I was quick to catch up to her with my pistol drawn. It was dark where we were at but the car was easily noticeable. We could see the head lights coming back down the road and knew they would soon be driving towards us. With both of our guns drawn and ready to react at a moments notice there car rolled to a stop. Hearing one door shut after the other the two Durden goons were making there way towards us and the car.

The two of them going to the opposite sides of the car was a hilarious moment of confusion that helped to ease the tension in the air. Look liked she’d be driving – it was her town, however, and she knew the streets very well, so it was probably for the best. Taking the keys he’d tossed to her, Olivia slipped into the driver’s seat and started up the car.

Besides, by her driving, it allowed him the opportunity to be ready to shoot and they both knew he was a much better shot then she was; his handled his weapon exceedingly well. She circled the block to try and shake any tails that might be following them, but it wasn’t very successful. Another dark car was speeding up the block behind them, ready to open fire. She cursed under her breath, her foot putting increased pressure on the gas pedal so that their car was hitting higher and higher speeds. As they got closer, Roman fired a few shots off at them, but it did little to shake them. She frowned, trying to figure out the best way to lose the tail. She took a sharp right, crashing a bit into some trash cans. A sheepish smile crossed her face as she shrugged her shoulders at the crash “Whoops?”

The people chasing them drove straight by but had seen them turn and sent some bullets after them. Olivia continued down the alley, hoping to emerge on the other side in a few moments. But she didn’t. Instead, Olivia realized it was a dead end and she slammed on the breaks, the car coming to a halting stop. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to envision the city streets and where they could be at that moment. She’d turned down the wrong alley, of course. She knew they didn’t have long before the car following them turned around and came after them, and there was no way they were gonna be able to drive back out the way they came. They’d have to go by foot if they wanted to succeed; with headlights coming up the alley, Olivia motioned for Roman to follow her. She pulled her own weapon as she quickly scanned their surroundings.

“Over here, quick,” Olivia whispered, her voice low as she found a hiding space behind a large stack of crates. There was a nearby door, which Olivia assumed was the rear entrance of a local business. It was late, so the door was closed and locked. She could hear the car coming to a stop and the doors opening and shutting.

Olivia pulled a bobby pin from her hair and motioned to Roman to cover her while she went to work picking the lock on the door. Her gun lay on the ground next to her, ready for her to grab in a moment if she needed too. Even if they shot and killed the two men who stepped out of the car, they couldn’t go back down the alley the way they’d come. The noise from the shootings would surely draw more Durdens at a minimum, or maybe even some police officers.

The two men who had exited the car were getting closer to where Roman and Olivia were hiding. They seemed confused as to where the two of them had gone and were looking into the car that Roman and Olivia had already exited. It was the perfect opportunity for Roman to open fire and take one, if not both of them out. Olivia, meanwhile, was still working on their escape. Just a few more seconds…..she felt the lock slip and unlock. They could disappear into the building and come out a black over, at the front entrance. No one would be expecting that and it would give them a chance to blend into the night. They needed to find Tyler and while leaving the car behind wasn’t ideal, it seemed the best option right now.

Grabbing her weapon, she turned to help deal with any leftover goons.

We didn't have much more time to make a decision as the two men kept getting closer. Glancing over my shoulder I noticed Olivia had unlocked a door behind us. I nodded to her as she grabbed for her pistol, she cracked the door in case we needed to make an early exit. The men heard the door open and there attention was turned to our direct location. Without another second to think I stood and unloaded a few rounds in there direction. I ducked down to reload and listened to Olivia and the other goon continue to exchange fire.

"He's down, we're safe for the moment", Olivia said ducking down reloading her gun as well.

Looking up the coast was clear for the moment or that is at least what we thought. There were a group of goons at the end of the alleyway looking down at us. There were more then the two of us could handle, it looked like they had us out numbered three to one. Looking towards each other we looked back down towards the goons and began to unload round after round at them. Dropping a few they began running in our direction exchanging gun fire.

Heading through the door of the building Olivia had broken into she shut the door behind me. We pushed a large cabinet in front of the door keeping us safe from them entering from that direction. We had to think on our toes and we had to act fast on it. By this time the goons outside had to of noticed there dead comrades in the alley way. With us inside the building we would be outnumbered ten to one in no time. There were only two of us with limited ammunition at this point. If we went back into the streets we risked the chance of being seen by the goons.

I continued to look around the building when I ran into Olivia in a back office area. She had located and phone and just hung it up as I entered. She explained how she had left a message for her boss at the gym, but he was always out working on his physique. Walking over I quickly grabbed the phone, there was only one person to call. This guy was always so busy flying from city to city maintaining his enterprise there was a good possibility he would be in town.

Hearing TM pick up the satellite phone was like music to my ears. For one it meant spending an obscene amount on new technology was paying off and the fact that he had answered meant he was outside of Los Angeles. He responded but he was sitting in the airport and it might take him some time to get back to where we were located. I hung up the phone and quickly picked it back up thinking to myself who I could call in a time of need. There was that one person that I knew would be there for me no matter what if I ever asked. This was that time to ask for the favor I never thought I'd need to ask for. It was life or death and we had to act quick as it sounded like the goons were closing in on our locations.

"Hello, Roman what's going on?", the voice on the other side of the phone asked confused. I barely gave Bubbles a second to say hello before talking.

"I need you here in Corktown, Olivia and I are surrounded by Tylers goons and things aren't looking good. You know I wouldn't call you unless it was an emergency. We are outnumbered and it looks like they just keep showing up outside our location. Bring any guns you can and extra ammunition. This is going to be a blood bath, I've got TM on his way over, but he is going to need your help getting through the crowd of goons."

I hung up the phone for a second time looking over at Olivia. She was looking through a window as the goons continued to flood the streets.

"A car is pulling up Roman, come quick", she said waving me to the window. I peeked out the window just in time to see what looked like Robert Paulson exiting the car. Shit was getting more serious every second only time would tell what was going to happen next.

Serana's car was gunning down the streets in corktown, she'd recently heard of Tylers massive force invading not just Detroit but all over the main criminal empire in the states and she had to do her part to keep the tide at bay. One of her spies in the city had told her two of her dearest friends Olivia and RomanReigns were currently pinned down in a building in Corktown and she wasn't going to leave her friends to death.

Finding the building wasn't hard as she saw a contingent of the filth from Delaware outside, and even worse Robert Paulson himself. If Tyler sent Robert Paulson here it was to make the sure job was finished, Serana knew she had to plan her move carefully to give her friends even a chance of escape. She circled out back and got out of her car to survey the situation, she saw only two guarding the rear door while the rest focused on the front, she took aim and seconds later the two guards were now just corpses. Now came the next problem she had to get in without Olivia and Roman just shooting her the second she opened the door thinking she was a filthy Durden. She went to the reinforced door and proceeded to knock several times in a weird beat hoping against hope  that Olivia remembered one of their emergency signals in case things went south before some of Paulson's men came to check on the backdoor situation.

It was the call that every good captain would snap to attention too, the type of call where he good soldier finally gets to prove to his superiors how deep his loyalties lie. It was a call from a dear friend for assistance. TM figures the situation must be grim, not in his entire tenure ship under the Godfather Chairman of Los Angeles did he ever receive a call so frantic, nor did he ever hear Roman so relieved to hear his voice over that line. Whatever the cost, whatever trouble was coming their way, the devoted captain knew he needed to be there right away...

“Cono.... Cono calm down.... just... just let me know where the fuck you are. Yeah I’ll be a little ways away but Im coming...Nothing will stop me from keeping my word to you sir. I’ll get there then we’re going to fucking kill all those Durden fucks”

The phone clicked in that moment. And TM felt a lump form in the pit of his stomach. His coke fuelled thoughts starting to play out scenarios that have never happened but easily could be. Terrifying fates have awaited those who have failed to wipe out the Durdens, each of the stories of old worrying him more then the last, although his phone  was new technology it was still experimental at best. TM could only pray to whatever god he believed in that this was the case. Faulty fucking phone he could only think to himself, that’s all it is... His plans for visiting one of his establishments in his hometown dashed, but still he could count his blessings that he had a  short proximity to Corktown Detroit, the place he was racing to get too. He had no time to rally his crew, he had no time to send word. He had no time to even write up the will before what could be his last adventure with Godfather RomanReigns....He could only do his damndest to get from point a to point b.

“Johnny... Cono fuck... I need you to cause a scene.... I don’t care what you do, I need airport security all over you... I’ll pay for your bail later alright just do it...”

TM could only work on a plan as he went along, there was no chance in hell he was waiting all that fucking time for the next flight to Detroit. He needed to be on the move, and he needed to be on the move now. It only took a few seconds of Johnny brandishing his gun to get everyone’s attention, enough time for TM to sneak past the bedazzled airline employees at the departures gate. With a deep breathe he covers his face with a scarf as he walks onto the plane brandishing his own fire arm.

“Alright cocksuckers.... we’re going for a little fucking trip.... Do what I say... and everything will be fine... Fucking test me and I swear they will be scrubbing your brains off that control panel..... Common common let’s get going “

At first they must have been in shock or something because they didn’t move... All they would do is stare at the barrel of TM’s gun, it finally took the striking of the co pilot before things started to move along. Within moments the hatch was closed and the small private aircraft was taxiing away from the terminal. TM wasn’t crazy he didn’t want to hurt innocents, especially humble pilots just doing their job. But to him anyone was fair game if it meant he could assure his godfathers survival. Not that he doubted his godfathers fortitude for survival but he knew all odds were against them. Thousands against only a few, the type of story you would hear in the history books that’s for sure.

“Alright... there’s a clearing southwest of the city, that’s where you take it down.....no fucking funny business and stay the fuck off that radio..... this is just a friendly trip remember?”

TM casually remarked as he popped a couple of in flight peanuts in his mouth, something about the salty snack always tasted better to him thousands of feet in the air... as the plane started to descend even the experienced pilot was having qualms about how safe this landing would be... TM didn’t care... TM needed to be on the ground. After a heated exchange back and forth between himself and the aircrafts crew the plane humbly sits in a farmers field again just on the outskirts of the city. Thanking his hostages for the ride he departs the plane, wandering through the field until he comes up to a humble farmer pulling up to see what the commotion in his field was. A swift gun butt to the face. TM finds himself taking the mans vehicle leaving him stranded where he stood. The loyal Don now at full speed racing into the city, already seeing the chaos that had ensued from the Durdens arrival the moment he enters the city limits. He could only hope to god he could make it in time....
