Things were beginning to come together for me.  In fact Philly was starting to get a little warmer since the day I arrived.  I started to venture out, talking, getting to know more people and made some friends along the way. 

There was just a little chill in the air as I stepped out into the courtyard to make my exciting announcement.  I tugged on the collar of my coat pulling it up closer to my ears, tapped my hat tighter on my head and began to speak.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

I will be bringing a little of the New York and Atlantic City flare to Philly! After a couple of conversations with Godfather Syndicate and gaining some of the experience of a wise banker, I was able to secure an old hotel and the adjacent buildings on 31st Street - right across from the newly built Market Street Bridge and around the corner from Philadelphia 30th Street station.  The renovations to complete the Goliath Entertainment Complex are in the final stages and will become another World's Playground.

The Goliath Entertainment Complex will feature a 14 story Hotel with luxury rooms and suite, large outdoor swimming pool, smaller indoor heated swimming pool, rooftop lounge, dining, retail shops, nightclub, ballroom, speakeasy, gambling opportunities - poker room and slots, women etc, etc.

It will feature the same type of entertainment provided at the Sugar Hill Hotel in Manhattan with a Grand Opening performance by Count Basie.

We still have a few shops and office spaces to rent. We will help finance any business opportunity.

 Set up a retail clothing store, candy store, and coffee and donut shop, gun shop whatever you might be interested in talk with us.  

Whether business or pleasure, come check us out and enjoy yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

People started to clap and chat among themselves.  Some started to approach me with questions.  I was very excited and encouraged about the response I received.

She waited a long time before she got up the courage to speak to Sho_Nuff . He was such an imposing figure, he made her just a little nervous. As she approached him, she smiled, and handed him a glass of champagne. "Congrats sir on such an impressive business! I'm excited with the prospects it brings to the community." She sipped her champagne and watched as he was swept away in the crowd of well wishers. 

I worked my way from the crowd toward Jaded.  I raised my glass to toast hers. 

Thank you for the well wishes Jaded. I am very excited about this new venture.  Don’t ever be nervous about talking to me.  I’m just an ordinary businessman.  We will be officially opening tomorrow and would like to extend a complimentary stay at your convenience.    Just give my Hotel Manager UrsulaIguaran a call and she will be glad to set up your reservations.

Brancer was in town headed to his Philadelphia location of The Flying Ivories when he caught ran into a crowd gathering. There was an announcement of sorts going on and he was interested to see what the crowd was all about. A smile came to his face when he heard of the new complex being erected soon. Once he saw an opening he made his way up to Sho_Nuff and gave a warm grin. 

"Congratulations on the ground breaking." He said offering a hand towards Sho_Nuff. "I seem to find myself in Philadelphia a lot these days, and it will be wonderful to see what it will do for the town. Plus excited about having a little resort right outside my own home town to get to these days." He laughed and pulled out a cigarette from his case lighting it. "Oh right, Brancer by the way. I don't think we've been introduced, but your reputation precedes you. Philadelphia is lucky to have the lot of you settling into the city. She's sure to be booming in no time."

I was starting to get a little tired and hungry.  I didn’t expect to talk to so many people.  Before I left to get a bite I had to speak to one more person and that was @Brancer.  I saw him to the side smoking a cigarette and walked over to him.

Hello there again @Brancer thank you for the kind words as I extended my hand to shake his.  But you have misunderstood.  The complex is completed and now officially opened.  I would enjoy you being my guest anytime.  Tomorrow night Count Basie will be in the house, you could come by and check out his show at the Paradise Club. Of course if you would like a stay at the Hotel it’s on me.

We were still hanging out in the courtyard when Big Moe came to tell me that @HenriDucard had intercepted a package for me, being delivered by a boy.  Moe said it was about some money from a RalphValentino.  I told Moe to tell @HenriDucard I will be back in the Headquarters in a few and check it all out. 

The phone line had been very poor when UrsulaIguaran heard she was being asked for something. So she had to ask Sho_Nuff three times to confirm whether he really wanted to ask her for the position of Hotel Manager. 

It was an honour. And it would be an awesome opportunity for her to selectively meet some of the big names of this world, as they were visiting Philadelphia. Meeting upper class people that would need reservations for luxury rooms and suites would for sure bring her opportunities to kickstart her New York-based edible flowers venture. As would Mac's Goliath Hotel Restaurant. Once she would have things in order for the hotel, she'd definitely go by there to check on possible added value of her edibles in their contemporary dishes. As well as for the cocktails of the Paradise Night Club.

Once she had made her way to the Goliath Hotel for the grand opening, she wore a huge smile. The atmosphere was vibrant and runner boys were going all around the place, handing messages that were usually intercepted by HenriDucard. As she overheard Brancer telling Sho_Nuff that he was really looking forward to what could become of this place once it would be finished, Úrsula chuckled. Unfortunately, she couldn't overhear the rest of the conversation, because the phone rang

Bee You Tee.. Sorry.. Are you THE TheButcher? Mind if I make that a double, Úrsula asked whilst winking.

Waiting for an answer, she recomposed herself, understanding that winking is quite unhelpful on phone, especially if you are looking towards your crew leader and Godfather Chairman Syndicate, whilst doing so..

Bubbles had been sitting at her desk, stacks of papers piled high and scattered all about. The endless amount of paperwork was driving her crazy, it was never ending. She hadn't had a good night sleep or even a bit of relaxation it what felt like months. Though the work needed done and it wasn't going to do itself.

Filtering through some of the papers trying to find an invoice for the Townsville she stumbled across a still unopened envelope. It must have been something she just over looked or it could have been something that was recently placed on her desk. Regardless though she took out her letter opener, found the gap between the papers and sliced it open.

It was a single rectangle cut invitation, printed on the finest material. She pulled it out of the envelope and gave it a read.

She looked down at the date, which unfortunately had already passed. Though the place was opened and a couple days down in Philly to just enjoy herself was music to her ears. Immediately she put down what she was working on, pushed her chair out from her desk and stood up. "Yup Philly here I come."

She didn't necessarily want to go down alone though and she had the perfect person to join.

"BUMBLEBEE!!!!!!"

She could hear him rushing to get to her office.

"What... what is it???"

The look on his face was priceless, almost as if he was expecting to hear some kind of terrible news.

"We are going to Philly." She gave the clock a glance then looked back over at him. "You've got like 5 minutes to get whatever you need for a couple of days."

"We got business down there?"

"Nah, we have some well needed down time. So let's go."

He wasn't sure if he should be smiling or not. BumbleBee was usually very business oriented. Though she did see him crack a smile. They each rushed off in their own directions and five minutes later met up at in the front lobby of the HQ.

"Ready?"

"Yup, let's do this!"

They threw their stuff in the car, got in and made their way down to Philadelphia. By now Sho_Nuff had already been notified that Bubbles and Bee were on their way. He was outside waiting for them as they pulled up.  

Hope just happened to be in Philly, wandering the ever growing streets as she often did.  She loved Philly and couldn't necessarily tell you why. But one thing was for sure, something drew her here again and again.  Today she would perk up as she recognized the speaker as one very close to her heart.  Sho_Nuff was opening quite the business venture?  Well this certainly touched on the young lady's interest.  She was always very much interested in whatever was new and unique, and this sounded like a place that she simply must visit.  Besides...  It wasn't a well shrouded fact that she adored the man at it's head.  She listened intently to the second announcement before approaching the man, giving him a small sideways grin.

"Sounds like you'll have your hands full..."  She mused for a moment.   "Can't think of someone better to head that up though...  I wish you luck and I'm sure I'll see you there?"  Her head tilted as she posed it as more of a playful inquiry than a statement before glancing quietly around the crowd as was customary before settling her attention fully upon the young man that used to live and work side by side with her not so long ago. 

ShoNuff runs into one of his old friends  @Hope.  He was very glad to see her. 

Well since you are in Philly why don't you come and stay at the Hotel and catch a great show?  I will reserve one of the finest rooms for your stay. I am sure you will have a nice time.  I am going to call in a reservation for you just in case.  All you have to do is show up and go to the front desk, everything will be confirmed for you if you would like to stay.

Having heard of the new opening her wanted to make sure he was there he always tried to support the city and those looking to better the community. He enters the place and is truly astonished at the Grand design and the wonder if it all. He was used to find places but this was among the top. He found a waiter and asked for a rum on the rocks and made his way to Sho_Nuff a well known name in his circle but a man he had never had the pleasure to meet. He extends a hand. Great job I am looking to spend many more evenings here the performance was wonderful by the way.

Hello there @James_Coonan I am ShoNuff and it’s a  pleasure to meet you, my man. Welcome to Philly, sorry a little late but as you can see I’ve been very busy.

 Tonight is the final night of  Count Basie’s shows at the Paradise Nightclub and I would be honored to extend tickets and a stay at the Hotel if you care to join us. 

 James takes a second to think remembering if his schedule would allow it. he looks at ShoNuff and says, I would be happy to it looks to be a great crowd and show Again I am truly proud of the outcome here good sir. I will be around admiring things should you wish to find me.

James slowly walks around admiring the decor and meeting the other guest just enjoying the atmosphere and his drink.

Finally I had time to relax and get my thoughts together.  Everything was happening so fast but falling into place.  The opportunities for Philly were here and I’m not hesitating to take full advantage of them.  Poor  HenriDucard was working long hours also.  If it wasn’t for him I don’t know where I would be as far as security.  With RalphValentino on board that will take a little pressure off him and Big Moe. 

Once I get the Poker room square away and the Comedy Club things will be straight for what I want done as far as the entertainment.  To fill up the rest of the complex I need to get some outside help.  I grabbed a pen and my things to do list and started jotting down some people we needed to contact.

@Jay_Sanity had some interest in setting something up need to get with him.

Have  @ HenriDucard  get with @Joe_Ligambi about his ideas how to set up the poker games and whether or not he need some office space or storefront in the complex.

I vision the complex completely filled.  Maybe a women or men clothing store, bakery and coffee shop, candy store selling taffy , gun shop.  I even looked into a car lot.  If I don’t get any takers I might just set it up myself.

Well enough daydreaming let me get back to work.
