TM as usual finds himself in the presence of a familiar paperboy, it was no secret that the Don didn't care for the kid. But it wasn't anything personal, oh no it was business. For a while he had been sitting by and watching TFMN slowly try to muscle in on the informative entertainment racket. The first issue went to the birds, everyone knew this. But the arrival of the second issue drawing a bit more of the Don's attention, perhaps even striking him with a breif bit of excitement for the third issue. The Mafioso stares down the paperboy, and while he would love more then to throw this kid a punch he throws the kid a quarter and takes the paper. Standing right on the spot, his enthusiastic look slowly fading as he goes from article to article he laughs setting the paper back down on the stand, he glances over to one of his bodyguards who fetches the quarter back from the paperboy.

"I had high hopes for the third issue, everyone loves friendly competition after-all. However once again you seem to miss the mark of being informative. As for being the funny papers, if that was your intent please continue. Personally I see the last issue, and this one about as high as the bar can go, I sincerely hope you prove me wrong."

TM wanders away from the paperboy and his funny-papers, his own bodyguards chuckling at the scene that just unfolded. The mafioso takes a pause in his departure and turns one last time, smirk on his face. "oh by the way..OvO's Dat Beez Kneez vol 3 coming out soon, if anyone is interested in real informative entertainment anyways. " With the last statement, the Don departs to conduct his business. 

TM stops in his tracks again as the papers editor storms out to defend the paperboy like a father would his slow child. Because that’s what this venue was slow, and for the most part drivel. The editors words and questions were valid, to the uneducated it might have seemed that he was going nowhere with his tirade before. But feeling in a good mood he decides to humour the editor with what he wants to know.

”I’m having trouble figuring out what you didn’t get about what I said, first and foremost I said you lacked anything informative. For the last three fucking issues now you have great titles for your stories, but a lot of I don’t knows, how in your right mind can you call this a paper without finding out and laying down some actual facts. Finding conclusions to the questions the population wants answered, There is a major point. Not to mention there’s a way to entertain without being a dick about it, and that’s my second point you have a lot to learn. Facts, hard hitting stories, and a bit of tom foolery that’s how you move a paper. I don’t expect a response from you nor do I need one, see you in the funny papers.”

TM figures his point was made, refusing to listen to the editors rebuttal as this wasn’t a debate walks off with the rest of his bodyguards, laughing at the little exchange he just had. Wondering if it was better for the jr media mogul not to say anything at all. 

Anyone with eyes can see that this cheap tabloid doesn't offer any real facts.  Just editorials by people who have no clear view as to what is really happening.  Spewing out accusations and printing quotes from unknown sources with no knowledge of reality does not make them facts.  I am going to clear up a few things for those woefully uninformed.

First and foremost, the purges have not returned in the sense that we've seen done in prior regimes.  If anyone took a close look around they would see that many of the people alive today would have been put on a list and murdered swiftly, myself included.  There are many, many mafioso that are older than the prescribed date in which Godfather Disorder would have purged.  There are many, many bloodlines in power which in Disorders era would have been scrubbed from the face of the earth.  Comparing Insomnia or Project Mayhem to Disorder is just ridiculous in every sense.  As far as I am aware no one in the upper structures of our community asked anything of Don Freelancer and were as surprised as anyone when he suddenly retired.  No one ever asked him to "purge" any of his members.  No one even came to him questioning the bloodlines of persons of interest, which was a trademark of the Disorder regime.  Again, comparing us to them is simply ludicrous.

My second point is that while purges have not and will not happen, there have been targeted killings.  The fact is there are groups of people who wish to see Godfathers Insomnia and RomanReigns dead, and many others.  One of these groups is the infamous Niflheim.  If you don't remember who these people are I'll give you a lesson.  Niflheim were the hired guns of Godfathers Fitz and Disorder.  They were instrumental in destabilization of Godfather RobOakheart's time and the witness statement catching and murder of Godfather Kurgen.  After Kurgens death we all saw what the world turned into.  They were key factors in the purges you saw during Fitz and later Disorder.  Some members of Niflheim would love nothing more than to see the rules and style of Disorder and his regime return to our world.  I can tell you if they are successful, 99% of you have zero chance.  The threats have already been made and some true credible threats have been dealt with.  That is why Project Mayhem and their intelligence agencies have been working around the clock to prevent and eradicate those who would aim to end this time of peace.  From my perspective, this community hasn't ever been in better shape for this long.  The cities are full, people are making money, and people are generally free to do as they please.  There are those that wish to end this happy time and revert things back to the dark ages.  Some people just want to watch the world burn.  Well, over my dead fucking body (and it may come to that if they are successful).  Many people I am close to have worked too hard to let the world slip into such decay again. 

The vast majority of people here by and large are happy and free.  Those who with to do ill will be punished.  This is not purging, this is preservation.  Project Mayhem is why most people get to sleep happily in their beds at night, and why rogues and dissidents are having nightmares. 

There was a news reporter spouting out into the streets of their most recent paper being released. Insomnia had overheard an organization that shouldn't be talked about, and no not that piece of shit POLFH or whatever it was called. Clearly the editor of this paper was working for that organization because no one else had ever heard of them or gave a single fuck. It had almost seemed as if Montague continuously wrote about them in his articles trying to make a name for the themselves. 

Insomnia grabs the reporter by the collar of his suit, dragging the mans ass on the pavement, into a back alley where he was beaten to shit by men and women wearing black ski masks.

"Hi, your going to call off your rigorous investigation. The people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep! Do not fuck with us..."

Insomnia fake out punches at the reporters face before stopping, grinning walking away while whistling a catchy tune.

Ramone stepped forth to give his own response to the sense article comparing Project Mayhem to the previous regime.

"You know, being related to a few people who lived under the previous regime I can definitely say without a doubt the likes of Disorder and his cronies are nothing like the group in power today. 

The previous regime would stomp on bloodlines who pose a threat to anyone, while the new one encourages business amongst those who were once deemed untrusted. Purges to those around 60 days of age were part of the norm under Disorder. The practice of such recently is nonexistent. 

Like I said, comparing the two regimes is going to be your papers ending."

"On second thought..."

Ramone walked towards the funeral home fully knowing he had a funeral to attend.

Qahnaarin shook his head as he dropped the issue of the now defunct fucking news to the ground. To compare the current leadership to that of the prior regime was just astonishing. The complete ignorance and unabashed idiocy of this publication of late was disappointing.

"What drivel."

He spat on the paper before speaking.

"Perhaps it is a bit redundant to address a dead man, but I must echo the sentiments put forth by my old friends Eraser and Ramone. To compare the current leadership to that of the prior one is too far. Countless bloodlines who were hunted and mutilated have been afforded chances and positions they never would have been granted previously. The streets are booming and overall activity is at an all time high. All seven cities are occupied and the country is at peace. We are truly in a golden age right now, and to make comparisons as you had is just...I can't even find a word for it."

He shook his head again.

"Almost makes me want to fire up pappy's old printing press..."

Eraser, what you say may well be true.  My father left me his journals and his sources, and from what I have here, what you say is not the whole story.  But it is definitely significant, so I'd like to discuss this with you.  I have contacted you privately.

Qahnaarin - don't try to promote yourself on the back of my dead father.  It's really not on.

I'd never do such a thing, dear Morny. Nor would I need to.

Was simply implying that the itch is there, along with the public desire for my work to return to these shores. Unfortunately, however, I have too much on my plate already at this time. Perhaps someday.

RIP Honestly "fucking" (I read no more)  in the subject turned me off so I ran to my bed and got turned on

"What in the holy hell..." she thought, but people like this stuff, so....she picked up another 10 copies for her restaurant. Angel always picked up a copy of some sort of reading material for her customers as a courtesy, since they're always asking for papers and such...
