I think which the addition of the James Webb Space Telescope being able to map out exo planets at great distance and the ability to map out their chemical compositions we will find signs of life on other worlds within the next 5 years. |

NASA has found several Earth-Like plants thousands of light-years away, if our technology was more advanced I am sure there would be an expedition to the planets that almost mimic Earth |

| They’ve already found planets with life. Oxygen atmospheres, we’ve found a few, require photosynthetic life for oxygen to remain in the atmosphere, rather than be absorbed into the crust, eg. Mars. Intelligent life is a more specific classification, and timing is EVERYTHING on that. Took hundreds and hundreds of millions of years to develope humans here. We could easily be centuries (obviously could be WAY longer or less) before or after our nearest intelligent neighbors will exist or existed. The main people who are desperate for us to be alone are dogmatic bible thumpers. INCREDIBLY large universe just for us on this lonely planet to be prohibited from masturbating by scripture (wank, wank). There’s multiple forms of intelligent life on Earth. Stupid to think it’s ALL and ONLY here... | |
