Carlo Franconi was sitting at his office desk as a man in a black suit urgently came in. What is it, Johnny? Well sir, I just found out that a new Casino called The Jackel Lounge has opened in New Orleans and Chicago. I figured since Chicago is your hometown, you may be visiting soon and want something to entertain you. Yes. I do believe I am due for a trip back to the Big C. A little gamblin' just might get this kink outta my neck too. Who's runnin' the joint? I believe his name is Zig-Zag, sir. Zig-zag, huh. We'll I may have to pay ole' ZZ a visit, see how the joint is setup. It may give me reason to visit the Big C. more often. Johnny leaves the room while Franconi picks up the phone and dials the airport. Yes, this is Carlo Franconi. No, no, I am not calling about the loan I gave you; but, if you don't get the money back to you soon an associate of mine will be paying you a visit. I need a ticket to Chicago leaving tomorrow, no connecting flights. I'll be returning 3 days later, no questions asked. Put it under the name C.F. Portelli. That'll be all. Franconi hangs up the phone and heads home to start packing for the trip. |
